There are wayyyyy better places to go, but if you enjoy expired products, spicy owners, and cashiers that cant count, please....... don't let me stop you. I went in there a week ago, noticed I gave the cashier too much money, tried to fix it, and after a fake security camera review, I was told I didn't even come in to the shop that day. (I still have my ATM receipt with the time stamp on it btw) Lovely. This place is a great addition to the Initiative 71 landscape, always there in a pinch. It's actually hilarious to read some of these bad reviews - you can really tell that they are from folks who obviously have started smoking somewhat recently and have no idea what the marijuana landscape has been over the past few decades. They enter the store with "The Customer is Always Right" as a hammer, and every employee they meet is a nail. You know the type. The employees who work at New Leaf clearly don't mess around with self-entitled drama queens who have no idea know what's up. The reasonable people who understand? I was skeptical after seeing the reviews and owners comments back to customers. However, I Went here a few months back because my connect for edibles fell through. The location was nice and the lady at the counter was helpful and patient. It is slightly overpriced but the atmosphere was nice. The guy out the counter was pushing the their cards and continued to do so after I told him I wasn't from DC. If you want actually edibles this is not the place however it is a cute tourist spot. read more

They really deter customers because they're rude, don't like questions, and don't explain things well to new customers. Bought a bunch of stuff. Everything, I mean everything was the worst quality I have ever had. Some of the gifted items were I'm 100% sure, CBD. I would not spend my money here again. Lol. Like one reviewer wrote, "Owner is only worried about saving face and fighting a yelp war." Sad. If he really cared. He would check the quality. Asked for the glass bowl and hemp wick I had to wait outside for 45 minutes. You cannot go inside they offers pre-online orders I checked mobile online the items I was looking for wasn't there it's a time consuming. The store send out photos is not what I'm looking - just a bit disappointing with the timing. Will never visit this place again. The people were NOT helpful. The first time they were very friendly. I bought several items. One of them was their 750mg drink. That drink was bogus and weak. Drank the whole thing by myself at once and barely had a buzz. Shared my other drink and the other person had the same experience. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned this time to pick up socks. They barely have a selection and I had to resort to socks in hideous colors. Finally, there stuff is expensive. It's one thing to pay higher prices for quality but that is not the case here. Do yourself a favor, save the trip up those steep-ass steps and go elsewhere. You're response below is beyond hilarious. So I stumbled into this place one night when I was playing a gig down the street. I had a fantastic first experience, and have been back multiple times since. Customer service has always been great, and the gifts are excellent quality. Super convenient. Just let them know it's your first time and they'll give you the rundown. As long as you comply with DC laws and know that you are buying advice, stickers, etc and you are being gifted life-enhancing products, the people that work there are super friendly to out of towners, such as myself.
