I was asked if we could come at 8:00 a.m. instead so that we could have a better experience. I explained that 8:00 a.m. was not an option because we all have children to get to school, and I expressed my concern that the facility would now be at its maximum capacity of 20 people. I told the staff member I would check with my friends and call back if we decided to cancel. My friends were fine with proceeding, so I completed my intake form that evening and planned to keep the reservation. Two days later, I received another call from the spa--this time offering us 50% off if we would come at 8:00 a.m. I again explained that 8:00 a.m. was not an option and expressed that the repeated attempts to move our reservation made me feel as though our 11:00 a.m. appointment was an inconvenience. The staff member explained that they simply wanted to make sure we had a good experience. I understand that perspective, but after the second call, it was difficult not to feel that accommodating the soccer team's booking was being prioritized over our existing reservation. At that point, the experience no longer felt like the birthday celebration we had planned, so I canceled our reservation. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I don't plan to utilize Bohdi Spa in the future. I understand that scheduling conflicts happen, but I would have expected the spa to honor an existing reservation rather than repeatedly asking the customer to change it--especially after being told that the proposed alternative time was not possible.
