I booked a couples massage as a first time customer and, upon arrival, could not use a debit card, as their internet was not working. Things happen but the masseuses spent 15 minutes trying to figure things out and then told me to walk down the street to find an ATM (after they had already lost 15 minutes of our session time trying to work their machine). For the record, they were going to charge me an additional $10 to use a debit card, which is illegal in MA. The law is that it is permissible to provide a discount for cash usage but businesses CANNOT charge additional for clients using debit or credit cards. So the first impression of this business was not great. Regardless, I ended up writing a check (which they were very hesitant to accept for some reason) and we moved forward with the service. The atmosphere was calming and the service ok. I wish the deep massage had been deeper but I understand everyone wants something different. What was frustrating was that one of the masseuses had not silenced their phone so we heard dings throughout our session. Additionally, a call was picked up towards the end of our session, one left to greet a customer who was waiting for their session to start after ours ended, the 2 chatted throughout our massage (which was rude and really distracting), and one left to get a mask after they were sniffling throughout the first third of the session. I hope I don't get COVID. The biggest issue I had and the reason I will not return to this business, is that upon the end of our service, a tip was DEMANDED. Not requested but demanded. As a business owner myself, I was horrified. I left without paying a tip as I did not have cash, did not have another check in my possession, and their downed internet did not allow me to pay online. However, a few hours after the massage ended, the masseuse proceeded to CALL ME MULTIPLE TIMES asking for a tip to be paid. This is incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable. My husband and I got a couples massage today. The massage center is right on Washington St Canton. Very accessible and well located. I had no problem booking via the phone. I had to cancel my first appointment and reschedule due to illness and the staff was kind about that. The center was really nice. It felt new and clean. They have a fountain running that you can hear throughout. The massage itself was great. They were very thorough. Both my husband and I were pleased. It was a good experience. The worst experience I have ever encountered , I never write reviews but I had to this time. when I first called the woman over the phone was extremely rude I told her I got a Groupon as a gift and would like to book an appointment. she told me " no book with Groupon I make no money" I explained to her it was a gift. and i wanted to make the appointment for my husband birthday 3/21. she confirmed and repeated the date back to me and said "no more booking with Groupon no money". We go to the appointment today and she doesn't have us down and tells me I didn't call, I'm trying to talk with her and she is walking away being rude and not helping me out. she tells me to call her number to show that I never called to make an appointment but when I call her number my number popped up and she put me down for 3/24 which I never booked that day. After her saying I never called they saying I booked the 3/24 she walked away went into a room and never talked to me to reschedule the appointment. I would give this spot 0 stars for customer service and would never recommend business to anyone I know or my families that I work with. read more

I gifted a Groupon to my husband for a Couples massage. He called to book an appointment and the woman hung up and texted him. He booked a massage for this week and the night before at 9pm she texted to confirm. When he said he was using a Groupon she said that we can't use it because we used it before. So he called her. Her name is Lilly. She insisted that we have used the Groupon before. He kept repeating that we have never been to New Life before and this would be our first time. She said that if we use the Groupon the owner doesn't make any money and insisted we use cash or card. He said we never used the Groupon and she said when we come in she will recognize if we have been there before. After he got off the phone she continued to text saying that the owner had to maintain overhead costs and that they use Groupon only to incite new customers. Unfortunately, we decided not to go forth with this massage. We don't want to do business with someone who was harassing us and not honoring the Groupon that was already purchased. read more

I love massages but am not one to spend money on them myself due to a fear of not receiving a good massage. But after a long week of work, i needed my back tightness to release. I called New life and Lily had an opening at the time i wanted. I am so glad i made the choice of going. Lily was fantastic and did an amazing job. I had a 90 minute deep tissue and it really did the job of loosening up my back muscles. Its the next morning and i feel amazing. I highly suggest Lily's services at New lofe to everyone.
