So we had our driveway done by New Look Paving and Landscaping this past Monday. It was suppose to be complete the thurs prior but due to his lack of communication each day it was delayed a total of 4days, Bob told me since I missed two days of work in total he would Seal the driveway ($500 value) for free but when he did the initial estimate he told me it was a $300 value, I guess it goes up in price by the day . So the reason I left a 3 star review is for the following- For starters my driveway is 12" off from being square this was pointed out before the asphalt was laid but I was told it would be fine, now it's crooked and obvious . 2nd, a sum pump pipe that went under driveway was ripped out after I told them to just leave it and they agreed to leave it but they pulled it up anyway and snapped it so now it's my issue . 3rd, I was told the driveway would have 6"-8" of Gravel laid evenly before asphalt but In most areas I got about 2"- 4" of pea stone because they decided to leave the old Sand/dirt to maybe save some money on their end not sure. 4th, one side of the driveway was used to put some of the dirt from the driveway but never cleaned up at the end so I'll have to do that also . 5th , After the Glass windshield shattered on the skid steer while in the street I gave them a cordless vac to help with them cleaning but they didn't pick up the glass they left all over the grass so I'll be doing that also . They had to get to another job so I guess I have no choice but to take care of what they didn't do . The most annoying part of all was Within 2 hrs of them leaving I got a call asking IF they sent me a link would I be willing to leave a FIVE star review, Not just a review but a 5 star review . The following day I got a text from same girl asking if I left that FIVE star review . Then the next day (Wednesday) I get 3 phone calls within 1 minute asking about that FIVE STAR REVIEW ! I had to text Bob and tell him to inform his staff if they call again and try to force me to leave a 5 star review I will give them a 1 star since I was working all day . Bob called me and said he would come by to look at the issues and rectify them asap but never showed up, at 7:30pm I get a text that his kid had a baby so he couldn't come or let me know he wasn't coming but would be there on Friday. And here we are Friday 3pm and no show and no call from him for the 5th time throughout this whole process. This is why people should wait a couple days to leave any type of review good or bad . So all in all it seems they want that FIVE STAR review asap before you have time to look things over and notice anything . I looked at all pics in all reviews and nobody was left with a mess except us that we know of . There's always a first I guess . The driveway isn't horrible it's pretty good and I'm hoping it will last for years to come, his guys are very good people just doing their job it was just a couple things I wanted to talk to Bob about but don't have time to chase people. It would have been a 4 Star review had he called/texted me yesterday and showed up but I'm sure his response to this review will be delightful. Edited: your response was amusing and well planned but at the end of the day I had no choice but to hand over a final payment . I never told anyone I LOVED the driveway or work I said it looked good . As for your payment of $500 that was returned for mistakes IT BOUNCED ! I was met with Bob yesterday who came at me with some high threatening attitude like I was going to be intimidated ( didn't work) but he agreed with everything I said and told me he would give me money or whatever I wanted and I told him NO 10 times over but he wanted to buy this review to disappear . I NEVER told anyone to remove the pipe and it's on video and after I told them to LEAVE IT WHERE IT IS they broke it then HAD TO removed it . Got to tell you- this company- [family owned/operated] made the paving project possible here on a disaster of a driveway- not touched in 50 years- and that Ain't no Bull. They did a paving next door so next day the owner's Son- showed up early so i hit him up for a Quick evaluation- possibly an estimate/ Solution of what he could do here. New Look co. they feel better if they do not do a "Patch-job" - or a partial- band-aid shim-it-up to level- and just spread some asphalt to even it all- and HOPE and Pray it looks okay. So we discussed $$$$ various options of how we can get this to Happen- and all was worked out- 2 reasonable, respectful Gentlemen in a business discussion. Amazing too- how quickly they got the crew together in a last-minute decision- surely for me- The crew was terrific/ a great mix of all backgrounds all working together- towards a common goal. Maybe like you wish our Federal Government should be so intertwined ?? I met/conversed with them all. This kind of work out in the hot sun- when it's 85 degrees- is far removed from an easy office job- as it involves a lot of hand shoveling/ grading and attention to detail- looking for uneven spots etc. This is not easy work - VERY physical. WE had a lengthy day- for sure. We endured a Sun-shower- and at late evening time resulted in the improvement I had hoped. I like to think I am as meticulous as Anyone- and I oversaw so much of what went on- and no- 2 hour lunch breaks- everyone grabbed a bite/ and water on the Run. You should let the crew Quote your paving project- as I feel the same group of workers will be together for a long while. So impressed with all of them really- Quality folk that made this project happen- and Man- it all came together in one long day. Will try here to attach a jpeg- maybe two? VERY happy- I decided to undertake the new paving project. Surely a total team-work effort- Get a no-pressure quote and evaluation- from honest people. My used Civic- is going to have to go a few more years. To me- with these results- a far better choice. read more

New Look Paving treated my small driveway with all the care of a big job. They did the job earlier in the year than expected, brought a team and all the equipment to get most of the job done in one day. They also replaced a bottom step originally asphalt with concrete, matching the stairs up to my house.
