    Paying my bill every month is hard with such a crappy website. Takes me 45 minutes every time just to pay my bill.

    So, I never really had much opinion about utilities companies in the past. after all, we kind of…read moreneed electricity, water and gas to lead our lives, right? Well, one day, somehow I noticed somewhere that PNM offers a free checkup at a home to learn how one can reduce energy use. I mean...I don't think I used much energy (well...other than embarrassingly blasting some air conditioner and heater during certain seasons), but I thought I could learn a thing or two to save me even some small amount of money. Plus, it's free...why not right? I also was wondering if it was a total scam, too...and I'm happy to report that no..it's real legit! It was pretty painless registering and signing up to have a PNM employee come to my house and audit to help see where I could make energy more efficient. I sat back after signing up...not even sure if it was a scam...and a few weeks later..it was the day! Happy to report that PNM actually communicated/confirmed the day before/of the the appointment time, too! The day of a PNM employee showed up and happy to talk to me, go through my home and found ways to help suggest/replace some light bulbs to make my electicity use more efficient! He also took the time to help give me some suggestions on where I could look into to reduce energy use as well. Best of all, he came over..helped me replace all the inefficient lightbulbs (gosh..some of those were super dirty bulbs that were there and never replaced when I purchased my home several years back then!!). At the end...the walk through..and a checkup took maybe an hour ish or so. I was pretty happy about it and wished I knew more about this service (and how I could have (and sadly missed :() gotten some rebates getting some appliances at my home even a few years back!). The guy also gave me free light bulbs (and even helped replaced them!), some electrical outlets, night lights and showerheads that make water usage slightly more efficient, too! While I don't know much whether PNM charges me too much or too little (and going solar is still something I'm contemplating), I would have to say, I was really happy with this FREE home energy usage checkup service by PNM! If you are a PNM customer and had never done one...PNM does it for free for you! So might as well get it (and save some money along the way!).

I asked for a usage investigation and nothing. PNM is a horrible company all they care about is taking money from people, they are not willing to help, they do not care about you. they will just mistreat you.

    I live in an 80 year old house whose drain continually backed up. After calling many companies I…read morefound A1 Plumbing and Pumping. It turned out that my house shared a connection which was blocked to the city sewer. I and my neighbors were being forced to consider temporarily moving to a motel. A1 plumbing sent out plumbing tech Ernest, to attempt a clean out and troubleshoot. He was unable to do the clean out due to the severe obstruction and handed the job over the to the underground technical construction crew of John and Joe. They arrived with a backhoe and dug down to where the main pipe connected to the main sewer. All the pipes down there were severely corroded and plugged solid with roots. The only way to fix it was to dig it up, remove the roots (which had the density of a tree themselves) and change the style of piping so that future cleaning was feasible and more efficient. They accomplished this professionally and in time so that none of us had to leave our homes. I can't praise the whole team enough. In my humble opinion they are the best in Albuquerque for professionalism and Value.

    Beware if you are seeking correct location of your utilities…read more We hired MT to locate our underground utilities to find an electrical break. They were on time and marked the utilities, estimating a break within 10 feet of their flagging. We hired a repair service to dig up the marked area to repair the break. Before they would begin they verified the marked location by MT. They disagreed with MT's flagging of our gas line, believing it was in the same area as the electric line. They re-marked the area and dug up my yard. The area where that MT marked my electric line correct, but the actual break was no where near where MT had indicated. It was incorrect by over 30 feet. The gas line that MT marked was completely wrong. If the repair contractor had dug where MT indicated we would have cut the gas line. I paid MT $270. Since their marked locations were wrong, I asked for a refund of 50% or $135. I agree they did the work, but it was wrong and frankly dangerous. MT responded they would send someone out to see the issue. I told them the trench was open that day and I could send photos. I also left their flagging so they would understand the issue. They declined to come when the utilities were exposed and said they'd come the following week. They never showed. They did not split the costs with me. The work was completed 1-25-24, in Santa Fe, NM. I have documented emails and receipts.

    A few weeks ago I had my heater go out for 2 days, during pretty cold temperatures…read more I called around my area to find a reasonable price to look at my heater issue. I called TLC and the representative who I talked to was friendly, courteous and informative. The price was reasonable. Within hours I was able to have someone come out and look at my heater issue. The heater problem was minor and just needed a new internal electrical igniter. In just a short time, it was fixed and working again. The guy who came who did the service was friendly and knowledgeable, and didn't mind all my questions as he was working. I was very happy with them and will be calling again if I need future services.

    December 26, 2025 Today, Lawrence Sanchez Replaced our water…read moreheater. He called ahead of time to let me know that he was on his way. He showed up and completely replaced the water heater within two hours. Very friendly and professional. The only thing we need to do is wait for the city to come by and do the inspection. I had called another plumbing company first but TLC Again , was quickly available to take care of us. My neighbor also uses TLC and is very pleased with the prompt service And quality products. I know nothing about replacing a water heater and was surprised that it was only him and no other help. He does only water heaters, so he is a professional at it. Chris and his buddy quickly changed out the capacitor and were both friendly and professional. I was just happy to have AC again. I tipped them both $20 for a job that only took about 10 minutes, but it was well worth it. The markup price for the capacitor is high. That is the only negative thing about this visit.
