My messages in the portal went unanswered, requests for refills from the pharmacy unanswered. After several weeks I finally called and was told she's no longer with Ribera Healthcare. When asked how I get refills I was told I would need to come in and get established with one of their current providers. Until I could get established with a new provider I would not have access to any of my medication. This is patient abandonment! It's a shame, Catherine James was the best provider I've ever seen and I will truly miss her. But Ribera Healthcare has put people in danger with how they're handling her departure.

I was originally scheduled with Olga, but the day of I saw a new provider in their office -who was rude and uneducated about the medications. They would not refill my prescription, and in fact was pushing their out-of-pocket prescriptions over my covered insurance prescriptions. I wrote a letter, I was seen again and then was told at the next appointment that I would be dropped as patient. The new ways they are running this facility is unethical and wrong. Shame on them. They front office has always been great I will say.

Luckily after getting admitted they took a ct scan and discovered I had pneumonia. Unfortunately I spent a few days in the hospital being treated with antibiotics through and IV and getting poked for the vampires every so often. My attending nurses and staff were so friendly and welcoming. They made sure I was well taken care of my entire stay. Thankfully I am now out and have returned to work. I'm grateful to have been cared for by these guys. Hopefully I won't be returning for awhile but if I do I will choose them again for my healthcare needs.

I have been trying to see a MD Internist for 3+ months, now. I had an appointment in August that was cancelled, by Lovelace, and was told that the next available appointment was in December! I was able to switch appointments with my partner, so I have an appointment in October. (The NP that I am seeing has advised me that I would be better served by a MD). Due to my experiences with Lovelace, as a patient and an employee, I will NEVER recommend this institution. Just a FYI: You HAVE to be an active participant in YOUR healthcare!!! Medical professionals are NOT gods.....they are people.....who can make mistakes.
