I arrived 7 minutes before my appointment. It took her 9 minutes to acknowledge my presence. She looked at me holding the kit I brought in & LOUDLY told me she wasn't going to help me because she gets off in 15 minutes "I don't want to piss my boss off by staying even one minute late". She argued with me about what needed to be done for it without even really looking at it, about which shipper needed to be contacted. I mean, if I had been late I would understand, but she had almost 1/2 an hour to draw 3 tubes of blood & take my blood pressure. I realize how quickly this can and should be done because I'm a nurse. If I treated my ER patients like that I wouldn't have a job. The very least she could have done was taking the material and getting it set up for the next person. Now it's 20 minutes past my appointment, Still haven't seen the next person. 5 minutes left on the clock for draw time. But I can hear her stocking vacuum tubes, so obviously that's more important than customer service.

The representatives are not trained correctly here. No one can give me answers about if I will even get a bill in the mail (basic information). I was told I'd get an email with a bill and to wait 24 hours... still never received a bill. I was told a payment plan had been created... though found out a payment plan was never created by the rep I talked to. Never received email responses. Had to set up a payment plan through the robotic automated system for TWICE the amount of the plan the rep had TOLD me they'd set up. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Would never recommend to get bloodwork done here due to the headache just trying to pay them is, communicate, and get correct information.

The staffers, they work hard, and provide excellent services as well as customer attention, and they are both competent and kind. This morning, for example, I arrived on time for my appointment. I checked in using my phone via the Quest app link. The internet there is not good, but it is not the fault of the staff. Elmer helped me (and several people) to get checked in. While Elmer worked on getting my lab requisitions into their system, an older man walked in and was completely confused as to everything. A female staff member came out to show him the kiosk where he could log in. The man did not have an appointment, and he did not know his phone number to retrieve the appointment (even if he had one). She could have said "sorry, I can't help you, but instead she asked if he had a wife or other family member whose number they could use to get him checked in. Fortunately, he knew his wife's cell number. There were five or so people who walked in at 8:30 for blood work without appointments - and on a Monday of all things. Even with all that going on, I always feel like I am seen and respected. Each tech always engages me in conversation about myself and my day. I always feel cared for. These staffers are on their feet all day, and I am just always impressed at how kind they all are - every time I visit.

There were appointments later in the day that I first looked, but I chose one at a time that was more convenient to my schedule a few days out. On a Monday morning. Arrived to find plenty of parking and good signage (not everyone was paying attention to the clear and easy to see signs that explain everything, but they are there). There was an electronic check-in kiosk with one person in front of me. She was elderly (in her late 80s, checking in herself and her hubby who was in his mid 90s) and I had to help her with the sign-in, which I was pleased to be able to do (the machine itself was not terribly confusing, but it wasn't as straightforward as it might have been). I had arrived twenty minutes early and the machine would not let me check in yet. So I sat down (plenty of seating) and tried again in five minutes - it let me check in and I didn't even have time to sit back down before my number was called. A very pleasant clerk took my insurance and ID information and got me set up for my tests (two ordered by the doc: one to take away and one blood draw), then walked me back an introduced me to the phlebotomist. The phlebotomist was also very pleasant and she took care of the blood draw in a flash with no pain. She asked after prospective clotting issues and then told me when I should remove the bandage. And out the door I went - before my appointment time had even arrived. I usually use the Tricore over on Montgomery just E of the Target, but they're closed for a (renovation?) period. This Harper Tricore visit was a great experience - minus one star only because that check-in kiosk could be set up to be a little less confusing for older folks.

Never in my…read more30 years of having a cdl have I ever been locked into a facility and not allowed to go back to my car. Concentra, Labcorps and all the other labs have waiting rooms and you can walk to the parking as many times as you like. The misinterpretation of the rule is another indication of the incompetence that's run rampant in this business. No, this bad experience didn't hinder me in any way, I was employed when I was held captive here and was employed when I was freed. NEVER EVER in my 30 years of professionally driving and testing have I gone to a testing facility where I had to be buzzed in and locked in. If you drivers don't believe this isn't the norm leave this go around town to Concentra, Labcorps, and any reputable testing facility. This is one facility that I believe fell through the cracks of federally licensed facilities that have a standard to meet. After my experience with them, I went to. Reputable company and took a test that day. They provide a box for your possessions, but that box isn't secure and have no lock. The company I went to after leaving this prison, had a lockbox and I was given the key as I went to the restroom to provide a specimen. In this thread I've provided at three reasons for you to take your business elsewhere. Giving this company 1 star would be misleading, and - stars isn't and option, so I'm forced to give at least one star. But know a negative 5 would be my rating if it were available.
