As a first-time mom, this class was truly a blessing. The combination of expert guidance and real-life experiences shared made such a difference in my journey. Every session gave me tools, reassurance, and confidence that I didn't have before. I especially loved how we were able to dive into both fun topics and the harder, more vulnerable conversations. It created such a safe space where I never felt judged--only supported and understood. This program has genuinely helped shape me into a more confident mom, and I'm so grateful I was a part of it. Highly recommend to any new or expecting mama

The investment is worth it, I promise! In 8 weeks, I learned about a variety of newborn topics that I was able to implement in my life. I made friends and connections that I'm so grateful for. Being in a safe place to be vulnerable and where everyone else knows exactly what you're going through made me feel like I wasn't alone in this new journey of motherhood. Looking forward to taking the infant class as well!

Here are some moms I met in the class! We got together at a brewery with the partners and babies!

New Mom School is worth the investment! I am a second time mom and I was looking for community- and this place delivered. It provided amazing tips, education, support- and organic community. We were encouraged to meet outside of class to get to know one another and over the course of 8 weeks I can honestly say I've made some wonderful friends. This is such a special season of life and NMS makes it even better! I recommend to first time moms, second time moms etc.

Happy to say I completed my eight week course at New Mom school!! I wish I would've had this community with my first son. When I first started the class, I was very nervous. There was 14 of us girls some second time Moms-and most first time moms and we all fell included no matter if you've done this before or not you were treated equally! The girls in my class got together every Tuesday before class and we really build a friendship to the point where we have done outside experiences out of our schedule class days! For me, this was to me other mom and be able to be in a community where I felt heard and understood and felt comfortable around and definitely got that and more! Seriously, one of the best experiences I am so happy that I did it and I am so grateful for the connections and friendships that I made!! I seriously recommend this to any Mom whether it's your first time or not!

She was very accommodating with scheduling too! After evaluation, she diagnosed my baby girl with lip tie and possibly a tounge tie. She showed me some exercises I can do daily to help with her oral functions and body tension. Shes suggested some dentists that shes seen procedure success in. She advised that its up to me if I want to do the lip tie procedure, and that oral exercises will need to be done after procedure so getting her use to exercises is important. And sometimes the exercises can significantly improve without needing the procedure. Shes also suggested nipple types I can try to help her latch better. Overall, after 3 sessions, baby girl has minimal clicking, better latch and slightly stronger tounge. Im still on the fence with the procedure, i know sooner the better, but if she continues to improve, I may forgo the procedure. Let's hope her 4 month regression does not undo all our hard work. I will revisit Stacy when baby girl starts solids.

As a first time mom I was struggling trying to figure out breastfeeding and starting to panic…read morebecause my pediatrician told me that my baby wasn't gaining weight as expected. She wanted me to formula feed asap because I was having trouble with getting a good latch on one side and unable to get a latch at all on the other. I felt so defeated but I didn't want to give up on breast feeding my baby. At first, I went to another LC. It was such a horrible experience. She basically took one look at my baby, then told me she had a lip tie that needed to get released, and that I needed to see a chiropractor because her neck was tight. There was no hands-on working with me on my latch. She really didn't do anything but tell me to continue to use my nipple shield. I was so discouraged after our meeting. I almost believed that what she said was my only option, but my gut feeling told me that she was wrong and I should find another LC. That's when we reached out to Tami from Loving Touch Lactation. She was so kind and reassuring over the phone, answered all my questions and left me feeling confident in her experience to have her come over. It was honestly the best decision we ever made. Let me tell you, she is a miracle worker!!! From our first visit she did a weighted feed and to my amazement she showed me how to latch on BOTH sides properly - She did address that my baby had a minor lip tie, but it did NOT need to be surgically released. Tami then created a game plan for me to become successful in building my supply/feeding to ensure my baby gained weight. With her guidance, I was able to ditch the nipple shields and successfully breastfeed my baby enough to bring her back up to the 98th percentile. We even had Tami come back when my baby turned 6 months for her baby led weaning session! It makes me so emotional to think about how much she has helped me achieve through my breast feeding journey. I literally could not have done it without her and we are so grateful. BEST DECISION EVER!!!

That's when I reached out to Linda, and I'm so grateful I did. She took the time to thoroughly assess our baby and quickly identified a lip, tongue, and cheek tie--something we hadn't realized. Linda clearly explained what was going on and guided us through every step, connecting us with a wonderful pediatric dentist for the procedure and an excellent physical therapist for follow-up support. Thanks to Linda's expert advice, encouragement, and reassurance, I was able to continue breastfeeding successfully. I'm proud to say I exclusively breastfed for a full year, and now begins the emotional journey of weaning. I truly could not have done it without her. You just have to hope you get a good group of moms that want to continue hanging out and make the extra effort. It's very nice to have some other moms to talk to and meet with that are going through similar experiences. My sister is still friends with her moms group 8 years later! My group was slowly less and less "available" and I've had to develop other mom friends elsewhere. :( 1 star for the breastfeeding clinic. The lactation clinic staff was also very friendly, but from what I and other moms I know experienced, unless breastfeeding goes perfectly for you and your baby they are going to have you jumping through hoops to breastfeed. After several visits seeking help I was finally told that if I wanted to breastfeed I'd have to take my baby to an occupational therapist to learn how to compress her tongue. After exclusively pumping for 2.5 months I finally just started breastfeeding my daughter on my own and after a few tries she figured it out. We now breastfeed just fine and she's in the 95th percentile for her weight, 75th for height, so she obviously has no issue getting enough milk the way she feeds. I would not recommend seeking help here. Instead it would be worth it to hire a lactation consultant in your home or find another place. They were also not very knowledgeable or helpful with my baby's jaundice. The staff was much more paranoid than my babies pediatrician and made me feel like a bad first time parent because things weren't going as THEY thought it should be. The BEST decision I made was to give up on the clinic and use Dr Google along with my own determination to make breastfeeding work. It was SOOOOO much easier once we started breastfeeding exclusively and I wish I'd followed my instincts from day 1 instead of seeking out the "help" here.
