I'd been seeing my acupuncturist for over 10 years and trust him implicitly (he's a very cool guy). He confirmed that he knew Steve Kravitz and thought he was very good. A few months later I threw my back out trying to move my television in a fit of furniture re-arranging and went to Steve. He literally made the pain disappear. I then began to see him for other things like the chronic muscle spasms I get in my neck/shoulder/back due to computer mouse use. I've had this condition also for about 17 years and seeing Steve drastically reduced and practically eliminated the situation. For a little while I was bouncing back and forth between Steve and my acupuncturist because the two seemed to complement each other. My acupuncturist noticed this and now he has been regularly sending his patients to Steve as well! I highly recommend Steve. He's extremely knowledgeable and has a wide repertoire that ranges from physical therapy to massage to craniosacral therapy and uses different techniques based on the condition. Overall, I think the general public is uninformed about craniosacral therapy and myofascial release and other types of work with fascia available. As a firm believer in scientific processes, and evidence based results, I came to treatment a bit doubtful of what he could do for me. After trying to find ways to stay fit and competitive in sports over the years. Steve has become a vital part of my fitness and overall wellness program. I find that it's crucial to have him be able to augment traditional medical procedures such as: rotator cuff surgery, with lymphatic drainage therapy (reduced swelling dramatically,) to treat pulled or sprained muscles (much faster recovery time), and trauma (bruises gone, mobility returned). When Plantar Fasciitis started in my foot, the orthopedist recommended drugs and surgery. After three sessions with Steve (no drugs required) I haven't felt a twinge. He also can provide more subtle analysis of minor conditions, like-- when I can't pinpoint something specific, but I know things "just aren't right." His fierce knowledge of anatomy is quite remarkable. But more amazing is how relaxing the sessions are. I often come out of treatment thinking -- how can this possibly do anything? He barely moves! Over the next day or two your body adjusts, and things happen. Steve is extremely thoughtful and sensitive, he treated my son (6 yrs. old) for a condition that turned out to be caused by something quite unexpected, and his genuine concern for getting to the root of the problem was crucial. Jonathan gave me dry needling with a deft hand several times while Dillon took care of my exercising, soft tissue work, and cheerleading. Both men I would highly recommend. The office environment is professional but light with lots of conversation with any and everyone. It makes the time pass much quicker and adds a little spice to repetitive routines. All and all I am 95% better than when I first darkened their door. Hats off to them, especially Dillon who will begin his first "real" job with the NY Giants beginning in May. Ryan and Celia were always so positive and genuinely supportive. When you are in pain, a positive attitude from your physician is key to keeping you on track. Somebody told me that a chiropractor would actually help me better and for longer terms. Last month I had some problem hitting my wrist and I lost the power of doing push ups (I could not let my body weight on that wrist because was too painful), so I decided to try a chiropractor and I started my treatments with Victor. First he sent me to have some blood work and X-rays done, took notes for my assesment and made me a short treatment with some electric machine for the lower back (some kind of pad that sends electrical impulses) and something called dry needle therapy. After that treatment with the needles I felt like after a detox treatment made with essential oils! I slept a lot and felt the need to drink a lot of water for the next 2 days! All my body felt great and the pain in my wrist was almost completely gone. Next week I get the second treatment with the electric machine, and my test were in so Victor made my first spine, wrist and neck adjustments (he observed that I have some pressure/ tightness in the muscle at the neck also). After this treatment I realised that I can turn my head left and right a lot further and my back was staying straight with no pain. I still have to go for the 3rd adjustment tomorrow, but the tightness on my neck is gone, the pain in the lower back did not return yet on the regular daily routines, and my wrist flexibility improved a lot.
