Started getting my face waxed here when I moved to the area a few months ago and they did that fine. So four days ago I got my nails done. Full set acrylic. Six hours later one of them popped off like a cheap press on nail would. So I went in the next day to get it fixed. Now here it is, three days later and another one popped off. So do I go back to them and get it fixed in the morning? Or do I go somewhere else? I don't want to even talk about how David used his own ungloved fingernail to STAB at my cuticles and when I said 'hey that hurts could you use a tool or put on a glove" he said "you have a lot of skin" and just kept stabbing away with his own fingernail. I was a bit hesitant because I have such a hard time finding a consistently good nail salon in Fort Collins and I'm so picky because I do nails and my own nails. But I was very pleasantly surprised and pleased with the job that Tim did. He was very meticulous and attention to detail and my nails turned out wonderful!! I am very disappointed with my most recent experience here. My friends and I stopped in for a day of relaxation in the midst of an incredibly difficult semester. We all asked for dip manicures with tips. My friends were serviced by very nice and meticulous nail artists, but my nail artist was extremely rushed and did a very sloppy job with both the dip application and the artwork. I asked for a dark navy color and I got a very muted light blue, as well as French tips that she applied so far down the nail that I asked her to shave them down to make the French appear slightly thinner. I also asked for a leaf design that I don't feel looks at all like what I asked for. She even did the artwork on my friend's nails that came out completely differently than what my friend had asked for. Her excuse for this was "your nail is too short to do this design," which is ridiculous because the image I showed her had the design applied on an even shorter nail than mine. I had to keep asking her to shape my nail again because she would shave it so rapidly that one side would be much pointier than the other and I had to keep checking her work to make sure the nails were round. She also filed my nail so roughly that I was bleeding for a few minutes when I left. Eventually we had been there for 3 hours and I had to go back home for a lecture so I just gave up on everything and left. I thanked her for her effort but I was obviously not happy. Even my friend who liked her nails and was taken care of properly had the wrong color applied (she asked for grey and walked out with deep blue). All of this cost $60. The next day the gel top coat was already chipping and I was so disappointed with the overall job that I went back in hoping the shop owner would be reasonable and just cover my nails with another color so I would be somewhat happy. I walked in and I asked for that and she started yelling at me in front of all her customers that I should have said something yesterday if I wasn't happy and that she was going to charge me $30 just to apply another color of gel over my nails. I told her that I didn't have any time to stay the day before to fix things and this is the first moment today I've had to come and ask for a redo, and she said that she would only be willing to fix the nail that chipped and nothing else. In the meantime another lady getting a pedicure exclaimed "is that blood?!" as another lady was servicing her. I was very upset and just took the free top coat and left. Needless to say I won't be coming back. I am leaving one star on for the service that my friend had by Tim, who is wonderful at what he does and is very meticulous and patient. There is also another younger girl who was very polite to me even while the shop owner was yelling at me in front of everyone. However everyone else there is rude and inattentive. I'll go to Polished Nail Spa instead. read more

Garbage. Rough, rude, aggressive lady did a lazy, lousy job on my pedicure. She obviously hates her job and her customers. At one point I reached down to touch my own toe and she slapped my hand away. I "upgraded" for $10 to get extra attention for my first pedicure of sandal season, the upgrade claimed it was for cracked feet. Couldn't even do a basic exfoliation. Zero positive effect. Literally NONE. Polish is flaking off after two days. This is the first time in my life I didn't leave a tip. I wish I had stayed home, done my own feet and kept my $38. I came in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I'm giving 1 star because of two reasons: 1) I want others to be aware of their prices prior to getting their nails done here. 2) Getting cut multiple times and bleeding everywhere throughout my manicure. 1) I asked for a basic pedicure, no gel polish. I was talking to my friend and halfway through the painting I realized she was using gel nail polish on my toes. She didn't ask if I wanted gel, she didn't tell me how much extra gel polish was, and she didn't stop. I found out when I went to pay that the basic pedicure on their menu they give you is $29. It doesn't have an option for a gel pedicure on the menu and it doesn't tell you what adding gel polish would cost. FYI for everyone reading this - gel polish is $20! Almost the amount of the actual pedicure! I was dumbfounded. For my pedicure and gel manicure, it was nearly $100! I'm from California and have never paid that in Los Angeles. When I told her I didn't ask for gel, she just said "oh sorry". Not acceptable. 2) When the same girl who was doing my pedicure did my manicure, I told her I didn't want gel on my toes but I wanted it on my hands. She said "oh sorry" about the toes. She RUSHHHHHHED through the manicure because they were busy (accepted more walk-ins than they had staff for) and cut me multiple times on my cuticles where I bled during the cuticle process, I bled after washing my hands, I bled during the painting, and I bled during the lotion phase. She just kept saying sorry and I told her she needed to slow down because she was going too fast for how busy they were. For $39 I expected her to take her time and not cut someone. Your overbooking is not the customers problem and they shouldn't have to pay for it. When I paid, I was expecting some sort of discount for the amount of blood coming from my fingers but never did. I only got "oh sorry" over and over again but no compensation for it. In addition, my two friends and I were walk-ins and nobody was in the salon when we got there. It took 3 hours for them to get through us because they kept taking more walk-ins but didn't finish us before moving onto them. It was disorganized. Over-priced. Unethical. And dangerous because of how much they were rushing through the service. I'm very disappointed and shocked my nails cost more in Fort Collins, Colorado than Los Angeles, California. That should say something. Make sure you're CLEAR with what you want and don't want and don't stray from that when they try to do something you don't want. Also, for designs it's an extra $5, another thing they didn't tell us when my friend got a design. Ask. Ask. Ask. And beware! read more

The reason for the low rating is that they do not take Covid 19 seriously enough with their masks. They feel that social distancing is enough. Two employees were constantly wearing their masks below their nose. I asked the older, heavy employee to put her mask up and she did for a short time but then let is slip down. She was seven feet away from me. The young man kept his just at the lowest nose level possible, almost not covering his nose. He floated around the room. I also felt that the attitude was not that welcoming. I had made an appointment with Kelly and she said she was double booked so she had another very nice young woman fill in. Her English seemed limited. Kelly never had an apparent customer. In general, they paid a lot of attention to their favorite repeat customers and I was not given much of a welcome. I made an appointment which is definitely the way to go, I walked in and sat right down. The gentleman who did my nails was very detail oriented and very receptive to what I wanted, made sure the length and the colors were all correct. He did an amazing job with my nails they look beautiful. Plan on spending about an hour and a half here, the nails were $50 which is reasonable for a set of acrylics. Only downside was he was very rough on my cuticles. But overall I am very pleased. I will be back! read more

i'm new to the nail community, it was my first fill in ever and I wanted to change my pre french nails with green tip to red tip. I had an older man do my nails and he absolutely BUTCHERED it. He then just painted over it and i hated it and asked him to take it off. After doing so poorly and addressed my concerns about color seeping through the clear color, he got up and just left without even apologizing. I then had to wait and another employee came in and he had to redo my entire set. I ended up with a solid red powder because they were already closed and i just wanted to get the hell out of there. The man that tried to fix the errors was rude and was being aggressive, letting out sighs every time i moved. Even though it looks fine, it is not what I wanted AT ALL. i'm very upset with my experience at this nail salon, and in the end, they tried to OVERCHARGE ME 45$!!! for being there for 3 HOURS! they messed up and i ended up leaving with something I did not want. I have gone to New Nails for almost a year now. I always call for an appointment and at least 90% of the time I have to wait - sometimes Ben is not even there. I would not recommend them if you need to have your appointment start on time (I can wait 5-10 minutes) but sometimes it is a half hour late. I have recommended them many times - but never again. I don't think they ever write down an appointment so they can take care of you. I called yesterday morning for an appointment today - when I got there I was told they don't have time to take care id me. I always book my appointments with Kelly but this last time I went she said she was busy and had the other young woman do my nails. She was very nice but my nails were lopsided and not the shape I wanted. First of all the quality of my nail trimming and polish were excellent so you may wonder why I am leaving a one star review. During the prep for the pedicure, the gal nicked my foot in two places with the sponge, leaving raw skin exposed. She did not notice and started scrubbing the areas again. I had to tell her to stop and showed her the two spots. She did not apologize or say anything. I thought of leaving right then but decided to finish the pedicure. Do not go here!!!!! The woman doing my nails made me pay before she even did them, and watched me closely as I wrote a tip. I didn't know what to tip her because she hadn't even done my nails yet, so I tipped generously, because she was watching me so closely. My manicure was done poorly, and chipped the second I got home. She also left while my nails were drying, and I didn't know if I was okay to leave, so I sat there for 30 minutes. I'm pretty shy, and a teenager, so it's hard for me to speak up. She had short hair, and was wearing a butterfly necklace, I didn't catch her name.
