The food at ABC hasn't always been the best, but I am really impressed with the new menu and the much better food quality. It really goes well with the beautiful new outdoor eating area. I wish I had gotten the chef's name, but he's been popping outside and checking in with tables, which I really appreciate. Besides him, the staff is ALWAYS so friendly and attentive. This past week, I had the pizza (shoutout to Mike!), turkey club, turkey wrap, buffalo chicken bites, California chicken sandwich, and lobster roll. I have no complaints, except I was so full I had to roll back to Boston. I'm loving ABC's glow up. This is such a great club with great people, and now the food is just as good.

Most of the time he isn't at the church after 5 on a Saturday but I like to check sometimes. Another friend wanted to come here to see streetfighter the rolling stones tribute band. I'm not overly crazy about the rolling stones but I'm open to checking out stuff I'm not too familiar with and getting exposed to new things. So I told my friend I'd go with her. I think they are open to the public after a certain time so if you aren't a member you can still stroll on in. Smart move on their part because they'll get extra business that way. I wasn't too much of a fan of the band playing but it was really nice to be on the beach hearing some music that part was pretty awesome. I walked down to the beach area to check it out. My friend wanted to eat and I didn't have a lot of money so we shared a pizza. She picked the toppings. Many times I'm a people pleaser. I just don't want to get into an argument and will comply with the wishes of others pretty easily if I am okay with it so I let her pick the toppings. Overall it was a nice experience being here and I would come here again especially if they had a band I like better than the rolling stones tribute band.

I recently came to Catalina as a guest, yet again and it's always a nice escape and to relax. The Pool is always kept clean and at a great temperature and the beach club also have their own chairs and umbrellas at the beach. The best advantage is to have a locker or cabana where you are able to store your own chairs, beach toys, towels, etc instead of shlepping back and forth to car daily. Also you have the showers in the cabana and locker to help clean off any sand before it goes in your car. (I am really into keeping all sand from beaches out of my car) Also I come to the club as a guest, invited by a member. I do not get a day pass for a Cabana or locker. I am an invited guest.

Don't make the same mistake. Stay at the airport and sleep in those uncomfortable chairs! Unfortunately, the place is a dump and appears to be inhabited by mostly raunchy, long term residents. There were bags of trash and food containers in the hallway. Someone's tv was blasting all night and could be heard in the corridor and through the walls. The hotel is extremely old and outdated. The owners are putting absolutely no money into fixing any of the many issues with the dilapidated building. Holes in the walls, tape on the smoke detector and trash in the shower to name a couple of the issues. Once we arrived we learned about the blue light special and paid $60 cash for 4 hours. We knew then we'd made a mistake but it was too late to back track. We did not shower, used Lysol wipes and small cans of Lysol to disinfect as much as possible then slept in our clothes with one eye open. Front desk staff and security guard were either sleepy, bored with their jobs or both. Neither were happy to see us. The only plus I can give this place is that it's walking distance to the subway for transportation.
