Fairfield Inn - Savannah, GA…read more I did not care for this hotel. First off, they charge $12 a night just to park in their own garage, which feels absolutely ridiculous. At check-in, the hostess was extremely rude and full of attitude--so much so that I even asked if she was having a bad day because of how unpleasant she was. Later, when asking for extra towels, the same bad attitude continued. Definitely not the kind of customer service you want when traveling. On the positive side, the breakfast bar in the morning was decent--nothing fancy, but it got the job done. The hotel itself seemed overall clean, and our room with two queen beds was fine, though very basic. Nothing memorable. The bigger issue was housekeeping. We stayed for three days, and even though we requested room cleaning, our room was never touched. By the end of our stay, we had a pile of three days' worth of towels sitting in the room. They also don't provide enough towels to begin with, so it felt inconvenient the entire time. Overall: this hotel left a lot to be desired. Between the rude service, unnecessary parking charges, lack of housekeeping, and basic accommodations, I wouldn't stay here again.

The next day before check out I went to get coffee. The lady at the front desk was wonderful, I regret not remembering her name. When she found out I was traveling back to Atlanta, she gave me a book about Savannah. Another bonus. This group of ppl should be given a raise for their attention to detail and excellent customer service. Thank you both for a wonderful stay.

I filled out every…read morequote, left voicemails, and sent emails to what felt like every florist in Savannah and was not getting any responses from them. I saw Ana tagged in a Facebook post and messaged her right away, desperate for a reply. To my surprise, I had a contract in a matter of hours. Her communication alone was reason enough for me to book, I hadn't even really seen her work yet! She came to my floral rescue without even knowing. I sent Ana so many details about what I purchased for her to use, and what we wanted. Closer to the wedding date, we reviewed some inspo photos again, and she made several recommendations on what in season flowers she could get in the colors I wanted. Somehow Ana made bright yellows, purples, and creams into gorgeous fall season arrangements the guests could not stop talking about. I had a small flower budget and she made everything I needed work, which other florists could not be bothered to do. The day of, I was SO impressed by her work. She was on time and set everything up in a timely manner. The arrangements were so bright and beautiful, and much larger than I was expecting. I noticed a few extras I did not ask for (rose pedals down the aisle, cake flowers), which were a wonderful surprise. Our aunt was helping us with a few other decor pieces for the rehearsal dinner and cocktail hour, and bought flowers from Ana. My aunt and mother in law went to the shop to pick their flowers up and talked about how wonderful Ana was the whole night at the rehearsal dinner. The flowers were excellent quality too, the arrangements and bouquets are still fresh and alive a week later!

Beautiful flowers...INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!…read more I called at 4:30pm on a Wed afternoon and asked if I could get a wedding bouquet by the end of the day, 6:00pm!!! Eeek!!!! At the VERY last minute, I decided to gift a friend with a beautiful bouquet for her courthouse wedding the next morning. Problem 1...I'm in Wash, DC and couldn't make it to the ceremony. Problem 2...it's already end of day and the ceremony is 1st thing Thurs morning!!! Ana...Ana...ANA to the rescue!!!! Ana was a godsend. She was so professional and patient. After 10 mins of conversation to determine what I wanted for my friend (you know...something that said I don't care if you're getting married at the courthouse...this is your special day and dang it, you're gonna feel special!!!), she assured me that she would have the bouquet ready for her fiancé to pickup within the hour. WHAT...are you kidding me!!! It was a Christmas miracle in March!!! :-) In less than an hour, she crafted a bouquet that brought my friend to tears (happy tears). She was totally surprised and overjoyed. Not only was the customer service experience phenomenal, the price (and value) was more than fair. I don't live in Savannah, but my friend can expect flowers from Peace of Mind for EVERY special occasion moving forward.

It was a beautiful place. Very clean looking rooms and excellent space. We lingered around the room after having played tourist in town before going to bed. Ironically, there were three of us mother and two daughters. It was gonna be one person on each bed and one on the sleeper sofa, but my mother insisted that we share the bed so we didn't have to sleep on the sleeper couch. Ironically by the morning and a miserable night of tossing, and turning by all three of us, we all indicated that we had thought at some point in the night about just slipping over to the sleeper sofa to get some sleep. The beds were incredibly firm and uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on plywood. Other than that, the bathroom was a very nice size. However, the toilet paper is very awkwardly placed. Meanwhile, the kitchenette is spacious and convenient. We did ask about a late checkout, but were advised that for both early check-in's and late checkouts they charge an additional fee per hour. So check before you book if you're needing flexible arrival or departure times. Service--10/10. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. We didn't have any additional needs to ask anything we brought to the room so we didn't check that aspect. But the room was already perfect and clean when we arrived. There were no weird things about and no issues with the room. Complementary breakfast--10/10. I've stayed in many hotels in Continental breakfasts are pretty standard for what you get. But they do some very creative things with their offerings and they were very welcomed. The food was fresh. The hotel staff working the breakfast area was cheerful and welcoming. A very good breakfast for how much we paid for the room.

Tybee Island is around 30 minutes away in a cozy little coastal town. The rate to go in the lighthouse covers the lighthouse and their museum. We only had time for the lighthouse. The price is $12 for adults and $10 for children. Children 5 and under are free. I was surprised they allow children of all ages. Normally there is a height restriction. My youngest (4) was thrilled because he's always wanted to join on our family tradition but was too short or young. He did a excellent job along with our (8) year old and my husband walking up the 178 steps. This is the tallest lighthouse in Georgia and the climb is fairly easy in my opinion. There is a break at every 25 steps where you can look out a window or just take a breath and let people pass if needed. The view from above is beautiful. You can see the water. There is no staff member at the top and the staff do not spend long explaining the lighthouse but there are signs to read. Overall it was a good experience and it's a beautiful lighthouse.
