The package recipient's birthday was on a Sunday and I wanted it to arrive on her special day. The store clerk informs me that Fed Ex does not do Sunday delivery. Ok, fine. Maybe I misread the website (nope, I confirmed that says they do Sunday deliveries). So maybe she didn't know that Sunday delivery was a thing. Maybe that's the fault of her supervisor, but she also gave out her instructions in a dismissive, patronizing manner, such as saying, "sign here, sign here, sign here," in a rapid fire fashion when I didn't immediately react to her request, and when I told her an address was entered wrong, she said in an annoyed voice, "you didn't tell me that on the last package." Perhaps most frustrating of all, she wore her face mask below her nose for the entire transaction. We all know that wearing a mask all day isn't the most comfortable, but please at least cover your mouth and nose when you have a customer. I know I'll be hesitant to return here in the future, but the two stars reflects that possibility that maybe this employee was just having a tough day. Either way, please just wear your mask properly.

we were so upset when we arrived last monday 7/13/26 and saw the condition of this place. the…read morebuilding looks nice from the outside and it is beside an apartment complex that appeared to be lively and in good shape--so we were shocked at how unsafe we felt inside the self storage, both in terms of leaving our belongings in the building for any amount of time, but also for our personal safety. we had rented the unit based on these reviews that said no one was even able to access the upper floors without management letting them up. instead we arrived (with our four-man moving crew and 30 ft truck full of our belongings) to find the "coded" gate totally open to the road, zero staff on site during business hours, and every single outer door unlocked. the elevator was fully broken, trash was piled in vacant units with their doors wide open, a transient was smoking (not weed) out of a clear glass pipe on the third level, with his liquor bottles and garbage spread out across the floor and music blasting like he felt completely at home. we decided that even though we had no other place to take our stuff and the movers needed to leave, under no circumstance could we stay one minute longer here. a bright spot in our awful day was how responsive the StoragePro corporate team (who are based on the west coast) were to us when we couldn't get anyone on the phone at albany-menands and then arrived with our whole moving crew to an empty office and all the rest of it. those kind folks did refund us our money after we filed a report about all this, but i still feel compelled to share this experience with anyone researching safe storage options, since the existing reviews on here do not accurately reflect the current state of this facility. my husband did later have a phone call with the person who was out that day with a family emergency, and while i understand that emergencies arise, that still does not change the reality of the physical state of the facility or its total lack of security and oversight. we consider it a blessing that everything worked out the way it did and we were able to see the true state of affairs, rather than foolishly leaving our things there.

Other companies as far as Pennsylvania and NYC are ready and willing to do a pick up. Another thing, every other company in the same industry offers bundle deals, if you're sending two or more barrels you receive a discount. On top of that, if you bring the barrel to the company yourself you get a discount because you'd save them on gas and manpower. ALL the other companies in the TriState area offer discounts for all of these things. And can you imagine Busy Day said they don't offer any of these discounts?! Plus they said they won't drive 30 minutes for a pickup. So now, I'm going to use one of the other companies to pick up my four barrels and pay a $100 transportation fee (I have no problem with the fee I'm glad someone is willing to come do a pick up even thou they're hours away). Busy Day needs some serious competition in the Albany/ Schenectady region.

I carefully wrapped my couch in the uHaul green furniture wrap and plastic couch cover (which is a joke by the way, it's just a cheap plastic tarp). On the day I was moving my stuff out for a covid contract, I was greeted by a terrible stench of mouse urine and feces from my storage unit. There was dried mouse urine over my coffee table and dinning table and mouse droppings all over the unit. The mice ripped through my wrap and clearly made a home out of my couch!! I made a claim through the insurance, and they only gave me $520! I just bought the couch in April and by October it was destroyed. They only cover the cost of the item (not delivery fees), depreciated my couch by 10%, and took off $100 as the deductible. I invested over $1,200 into the mouse infested unit and couch and got less than half to cover the damage. Plus the insurance company is full of extremely rude people. Jeffery is just a terrible person. I was crying on the phone (because I really can't afford to get new a couch at this point, I'm starting a new covid ICU job and just moved my entire life hours away) and he sounded so exasperated with me. I understand that he has a crappy, dead-end job, but you'd think he'd still have a little bit of a heart. Nope, he's just awful. I spoke with his manager Christa who had an attitude at hello. Again, I understand that she is probably miserable because of her horrible job, but she is a customer service agent and a leader. The management clearly promotes this very abusive and rude toward customers. Safe Storage is cheaper and climate controlled (things I wish I knew before). Not once did they run into a mouse infestation on Storage Wars! Be careful!
