Will never go back! They did a botchy gel polish and when I requested that they redo two nails (which were clearly worse than others) the owner stared back blankly. When I insisted, they blamed it on the quality of my nails even though they had just removed previous gel polish which had no patches and was also done by them! The cleanliness of the salon, the small hang nail or flake on the polish...no need to point anything out because the staff will take care of it before you have a chance to complain. It has been a over a month since i went here and my nails have still not recovered from the TERRIBLE job they did removing my gels. I have never had an issue, i have very strong nails and they are still cracking as they grow because the lady filed them down an unreasonable amount and are still sensitive. I have never had this issue. I was also completely bombarded for a tip and a venmo account was shoved into my face before i was even done with my appointment, not even by my nail tech, by her rude co-worker. In the past I loved coming here for jelly pedicure and thought everything was professional and thorough but unfortunately the business has seemed to have gone downhill due to new staff they have hired. I was shocked at how unprofessional the workers were. I came last month for a spa pedicure and the woman who was doing my pedicure seemed to be annoyed the entire time. I had chosen a red color and when she painted my toes the color looked much different from the one I had chosen. I commented that I didn't like the color and in Spanish the worker started talking poorly about me saying that I'm a gringa and of course I don't like color. Although I am white I also have Latina heritage and I understand Spanish. I spoke back to her in Spanish and told her so. She was not apologetic at all and so careless and rude. The massage portion and callous removal portion of the spa pedicure were rushed through and poor quality. Needless to say I will not be returning here!!! read more

The lady at the front desk is very rude. Very curt. She is thriving because of demand not her good service. If i could give a lower rating i would. First off, I scheduled an appointment for a new set of acrylics at 6 pm, i came in 10 minutes before, they had me sit and choose out my colors.. i dont get seated till 6:40. I had on old acrylic nails and I wanted them removed and my natural nail cut down and have a new set put on. The manicurist proceeded to drill/shave down the old nail and she drilled so far down to my natural nail to the point where it hurt i had to pull my hand away. She did not remove my old tips and just shaped them differently. We moved onto the painting, i showed her a design and asked if she was able to replicate it, if not i had a simpler design i could go with. She insisted to do the design I requested and I had high hopes on the outcome but it looks like she just slapped on 4 different colors and it did not even come close to the design I asked for. It was closing time and I am the last one in the store, at this point she was just rushing to get me out so the work was sloppy and careless. Disappointed, I walk up to the front desk to ask how much it was.. they told me $140... This manicure was not WORTH 140 dollars let alone more than 75. The front desk lady tried to argue with me saying the price for a new set is 120.. I argued back that i was not even given a new set, my old acrylic was used. I also explained how I showed the manicurist my options and she told me she could do what I asked but she did not deliver. They also asked if I wanted to get it removed and I asked if they would charge me more for it and they avoided the question so I just left. I will NEVER be coming back here again and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

I've been looking for a really good pedicure spot but have not been able to find one until today! I really only write reviews if I really like or dislike a place. This place was very clean and the lady who did my pedicure was Maria! This was the first time I brought my one year old with me and I was really nervous it wasn't going to go well. Maria was so sweet with my daughter and my pedicure was amazing. They use this hydration gel to soak your feet in which was really cool and different. I also feel like she really took her time which was so needed cus I hated the last spot I got my last pedicure at. All in all, I was very happy with my pedicure and so grateful for how caring Maria was with my daughter. This will be my new spot! read more

Light barely nothing hand massage and zero back massage. They charged xtra $5 for using multiple colors and $5 for using sparkle polish?!? Zero design! I stopped in at 2:30 (appointment) for a pedicure. It was one of the best experiences. I unfortunately don't remember my technicians name but she did a great job. She shaped my nails and cleaned up my cuticles perfectly and the polish job was great as well. Each tool that she used was brand new from a new sealed bag- from cuticle cutters to the nail file so you don't have to worry about shared tools. The chairs have built in massagers that appear to be new. I also opted in for a 10 minute foot massage which comes with hot stones as well. I literally was falling asleep as the technician wasn't rough at all. The shop itself is very clean and bright and the staff are very friendly. Needless to say, I will continue to come here for my pedicures. read more

At first I liked the place. I really enjoyed the pedicure treatment. But as other appts went on I started to notice that I would get charged differently every time. And they r smart cause they don't have a price list posted in there salon (I'm not sure but I think by law u r suppose to have that). There time was getting sloppy cause I feel they rush when they r busy and skip certain things. A few times I had my gel manicure within a week they would peel off. I've been going here consistently for about 6 months. Leo is the BEST nail tech that I have ever had. He took the time to study my nails: their shape and their condition. The first time I went I thought it was a fluke, but he continues to provide the same high level of service. I am always so pleased. Today I had a Deep Cleansing Facial with Sara. I personally only ask for Leo who is so good at what he does! He might take a little longer but he is very gentle and takes extra time with every detail of my mani pedis especially with my gel! This place is very clean but definitely gets very busy so I highly recommend to always have an appointment. read more

The employees are so genuine, nice, and friendly. I've been here (I'm guessing) around 10 times and the workers are consistently awesome! The only complaint I have for manicures is that sometimes the cuticle cut is sloppy and sometimes the paint line is sloppy. The pedicures are a luxurious experience, they are SO good! I received a $35 gift certificate for a mani/pedi. I was told to chose a color and I happened to pick an Essie brand. The pedicure was very good, but at the end, I was told that my gift certificate was all used up because there is a $10 extra charge for Essise nail polish. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told there was a sign posted over the polish. I was furious! I never saw the sign because it was on the other side of my polish and very very small. They should have told me at the beginning...NOT the end, that Essie polish is $10 more! That is just bad business! That was my first and last time at Pinky! read more

Walk in first time for a pedicure. Was impressed at first with all the steps they take for a basic pedicure. However I noticed the woman doing my nails had really long painted nails herself. Thought to myself, being a nail technician is hard physical work and isn't it impractical to have such long nails like how can you maneuver around? Well lo and behold she gave me a cut and I was bleeding for 10 minutes. I refused to continue and walked out because to me who has never gotten a cut like this, it is a bad sign. Worst nail salon I have ever been to !! On Thursday September 3rd, myself, two sisters and mom had an appointment at 430 pm. My sister made the appointment over a month prior. This was the day before my one sisters wedding. When we arrived at (4:15 pm) the salon was busy. The women who greeted us at the door, told us to pick the color we wanted. After we chose our colors we sat for about 15 minutes waiting. The women who greeted us, told my mom and two sisters to sit in the pedicure chairs, and me to sit to have my nails done. We all sat for another 15 minutes, waiting. I text my sister if I should call another nail salon and see how long the wait was. We were at this nail salon because my mom had purchased a gift certificate for my sister the bride. Once the people who work at the salon saw me mouth to my my mom that we may leave, they started running the water for the pedicures. So our appointment was for 4:30 pm, and the water started to run at 5:10pm. My one sister and I got gel manicure's, and wanted to have rhinestones/crystals on one nail on each hand. (I called before to ask if they would be able to do this type of gel manicure with clear rhinestones and crystals, and the women on the phone reassured me they could and had a selection for us to choose from) When it came time for the manicurist to add the rhinestones/crystals, she pulled out small rhinestones, and had about 6 or 7 clear ones. My sister and I considered going to Pinky nail salon on jay street where my sister and I usually go, because they do amazing nail art like this. (And only charge $5 a nail) The manicurist showed us that she had a ton of gold rhinestones and it would look great. We decided to go with the gold rhinestones. They didn't come out great, and the manicurist had a very difficult time. I finished before my sister. So I went over to see her nails, which looked a little better then mine. I was watching her manicurist put cuticle oil on her nails, cut her cuticles and get a hand massage with lotion. I did not get any of that treatment with my manicure. I mentioned that to my sister, and when the manicurist was done with my sisters manicure she gave me a hand massage with lotion, and said something to the women who did my nails and she just walked away. When it came time to pay, the women told me that my manicure was $50, for the gel manicure and the two gold rhinestone nails. An extra $20 for that service. My sister mentioned that right up the road they did nails with rhinestones, crystals, pearls and metal balls for $5 a nail. The women said it was because it took so much time and how many rhinestones she used. I paid the women. So when my sister went to pay, her exact manicure was $45. When my sister questioned the difference in price, the women responded by saying my nails were bigger and more rhinestones were used !!???!! I wish I could include a picture. My nails are slightly bigger then my sisters, and only 3 more rhinestones were used on one nail and 2 on my other nail. I would never recommend this place to anyone. My sister who had a $100 pedicure gift certificate to this place, as a gift from my mom for her wedding, the pedicure looked quite painful, her body language and facial expressions let us know. This pedicure gift certificate was $100 including tip. When she went to pay, they told her that because she chose lavender as a scent, it was an extra $20. The green tea was part of the $100 pedicure. My mom felt mortified and paid the extra $20. While I was waiting for my mom and sister to finish, my other sister was talking to someone she knew in the pedicure chair, and the women was telling us how upset she was that her and her daughter were waiting half an hour for a pedicure that they had an appointment for. My sister told her how we waited too. The manicurist asked the women what she could do to make the women happy. Lesson learned about trying a new nail place. The customer service was horrible. No apologies for us waiting over half an hour for a service we scheduled an appointment for, just an attitude and gel manicures half done. The Pinky Nail Salon on Jay Street is amazing. The manicurist's are so sweet, the manicures and pedicures are amazing ! The ventilation system they have is very unique, it doesn't smell like a nail salon. Which is great for people who have sensitivity to certain smells. They also do amazing nail art, you can show them something you want on your phone and they do an amazing job, and reasonably priced. read more

Wow!! had such a great experience at this nail place. so clean!! finally thank God!! :) people are extremely nice. I've been looking for a place that does a good job on cleaning cuticles and a clean pedicure place. tried everywhere in my own town, didn't find any. Tenafly is a little out of the way for me but I will continue to go there. convenient parking and we'll priced. pedi 25 mani 10. one tip for the salon, maybe do a promo a few days a week? like 30$ for Mani pedi. read more
