This is a cute little library with lots of resources! On the first floor, they have a fantastic…read morebook shop with a nice selection and very affordable prices. I was able to buy 6 or 7 hard cover children's books for $10. They accept Zelle if you don't have cash! The main library is on the second floor. They have a spacious children's section with some seating. Employees were quick to ask if I needed help. They have a monthly calendar of events with something scheduled just about every day. In order to get a library card, you have to be a resident of the specific town or city where the library is located. So in this case, you have to live in Eastchester to get a card here. However, once you have a library card for a Westchester library, you can use it in any library in the county.

There used to be a charge, but not any more. The library itself has numerous quite spots in which you can sit in a comfortable chair with a nice view and quiet. It has recently built a large patio to the northern side--near the parking lot--which seems popular. It's a quintessential Bronxville institution, but seems to have a broader number of users than just Bronxville itself.

They have a great museum pass program, offering discounts for several NYC museums. They have a nice children's area with some seating. It's a library…read more Can't say how many hours I suffered as a kid in here doing projects. Then again as a teenager looking for books to do projects. Been coming here since the early 1980's and whether I worked at a desk inside or borrowed a book, they always had what I needed - I have to admit that, even though at the time (as a kid) I despised the library. Came here intermittently now and then to look for a book here and there, but did notice this place did give itself a facelift internally more than once over the years. Looks much better in both the adult and the children section than it did when my young(ER) self inhabited here. Been coming here a lot more recently so my son can take books out for his daily reading assignments from school. They have most of what he has been looking for and despite the area being a children's section, it's decently maintained. The kid's area has computers for them to use and even a play area for the toddlers. It's not as quiet as it used to be when I was told to "shhhhhhh" long ago. Times have changed. They have music and dvds (for both child and parent) you can borrow if you choose to - kind of reminds me of the decade ago and beyond movie rental business. Of course the books for both are plentiful. Staff has been friendly and helpful. They do have plenty of parking, but at certain times - especially after the 5pm hour - they have gatherings or classes here and the parking lot becomes massively full. For the parents who like to blame the library for not having a book that the local school assigned to their child - blame the school since they assigned 1 book title for over 30 kids. That's happened before and I usually just save myself the trouble and buy the book. Last year I heard a parent yelling at someone in there for not having the book - not the library's fault if someone else got there first and checked it out. Overall a great library in the area. Certainly worth your time.

The library is a great resource for more than just books. They have story time for children, groups…read morefor crocheting, etc. and offer resources for seniors. I take my granddaughter for story time every Tuesday morning. She is 20 months old and she loves it! The staff aims to please. The children's room is awesome, with lots of toys, books and a large open play space. The classes are usually packed and are interactive and fun for all the kids. The room that the classes take place in is large so there are no limits to who can attend. Spencer's music class every other Thursday is so fun; everyone has a great time and I'm obsessed with his "Disney medley" song. There are plenty of comfy chairs and private desks to use, a bunch of computers and everything is on a single floor. The parking can be a pain, as is the case with most of the Westchester libraries. The lot is usually full and is one-way, so getting out can be a pain. However, there is usually parking nearby, so it's not impossible, albeit a bit of a walk. The bestttt part about this library is its location and proximity to an awesome playground for younger children. The double swings are so unique, the rubber flooring is young child and post-rain friendly, and it's walkable to a nearby deli, CVS, Dunkin Donuts, etc. We've had some great mornings and afternoons here!

Everybody that works here is great, courteous and extremely helpful. Being part of the WLS, you can go on-line, browse what you want (books, CD's, DVD's), place a hold on it and it will come to your local branch for pickup. The beauty of it is that you have access to the whole of Westchester's library system from New Rochelle to Cortlandt Manor at your fingertips. Plus they have parking!

E four computers per table section but now it's two per table. I think there is 8 near the adult mystery section. There was two in the teen room, but of course if your not. Teen you can't really be there. They do holds like other libraries but unlike others you don't have to call to pick it up. I travel from my hometown because I've been having issues with pick up. Basically the computer will say I have a hold available for pick up but when I try and schedule a pick up it says I don't. Dah I've complained numerous times but the problem persists so I'll travel by bus to mamaroneck and pick up my items till they decide to allow people in. But I never have problems with mamaroneck. In fact I just attended their first zoom coloring class for an hour. I miss coloring in person but it was fun but they are only doing it once a month.

Upon the town's drastic budget changes and the amount it time for this building to be built you'd…read morelike something wonderful would be inside....but no. - when you enter, you will give your books in but they will not check them in immediately - the librarians are loud and will rush you off to another section - the children's room is covered in fabric which is known to carry germs longer. it also has over 6 foot tall bookcases in a children's room. there is also no bathroom nearby - the bathroom is in the basement. near rooms that are used for nothing. frequently you'll find people hanging out down here for no reason. Lastly, these librarians are not nice. The word "hello" is easy to say but it's not said here. They've replaced the head staff twice and no one is friendly. From a more personal point of view, I think this town tried to make a library that would match NYC standards in a town that doesn't care as much about a library as Rye or Larchmont does. The front steps even manage to flood when it rains. I would like to see this library improve but it would cost the town too much money.

The Children's Library is totally separate from the adults. This library still has comfy chairs…read more And single cubicle workstations. And sells tote bags USB drives and great MVPL items. Nice getaway. The wifi was spotty. Again very old school library. Use your phone as a hotspot or have internet service on your device. The MVPL has desktops available for an hour. The internet issue was repaired the same day though. People like to use their outside voices while on their phones here. Very much like a family room.

The worst Public Library that I have ever seen in my entire life. They may as well just shut-it…read moredown. In this computer age, they DO NOT provide computers for usage like normal Libraries.
