The parking lot is definitely tight if you come during a busy time. All the businesses in the strip call dibs on their own 5 spots. Ridiculous. Getting everything approved with my insurance is easy enough, if not just a tad slow. I'm sure cash payers can zoom in and out. The place is a cool mix of Korean and Vietnamese with some piano K-pop covers and some loud Paris by Night action depending on the room you're in. Dr. Anh Pham is quick and efficient and doesn't make any awkward small talk with her hand in your mouth. I'm usually in and out in a timely manner. I will say it's a bit chilly in there, so bring a sweater or something. They really churn and burn at this place. It doesn't seem like the doctor's get a break. There's really no time for personal service, but I mean, it's a dentist, I'm not looking for a bestie. That's the only reason I'd really knock a star off. That and value. Dr. Hwang performed the implant and installed the new abutment for one of my teeth in August 2023 without any problem. Five months later in January 2024, I came back to the office for new crown measurements. This was done by another dentist or technician. Three weeks later in early February 2024, they called me back for Dr. Hwang to install the new crown onto the top of the abutment. The crown was so big compared to the gap between my two teeth. However, Dr. Hwang insisted that he wanted to install the crown for me. After the installation, the crown pushed my two neighbor teeth inward and it started hurting me so badly, but he told me I would feel better in a couple of weeks. Two weeks later on February 28, I came back to the office and asked him to remove the crown due to the pain and the stress that I have had on my two neighbor teeth. I also asked him if he can either grind off the new crown or my two neighbor teeth so the crown can fit onto the space between my two existing teeth. Two week later on March 13, 2024 I came back to the office, he did not listen to me to grind off the old teeth or the crown so it can fit onto the space between my two teeth but he wanted to reinstall the same crown on me again. He started to get upset after I refused, he also asked me "who is the doctor?". I told him I am not a doctor but a retired engineer and a patient and could be a doctor easily if I wanted to. As a result, he was so upset, mad like a crazy person, threw his face mask on the ground, and walked out of the room without doing anything for me. After that incident his office refused to treat me any further. He DID NOT COMPLETE THE IMPLANT ON MY TOOTH, but already changed my insurance company over $4,000. I also will write a formal complaint letter the State Board of Dental Examiners and my insurance company regarding this crazy doctor, so he will respect his patients and listen to them for any problems. He thought he is GOD and every patient like me has to listen to him no matter what the problems are. read more

I have been coming to New Smiles since 2016. I have worked with Dr. Pham (the dentist), Dr. Pham ( the orthodontist), and Dr. Hwang (the surgeon). My experience has been amazing from the beginning. I have had all my dental work here as an adult from fillings, to orthodontic, to now an implant. Each Doctor is kind and honest and the facility is extremely clean! I would recommend anyone looking for a new dentist to check them out. And, I'm pretty sure they have some of the cheapest pricing on braces and implants. Parking is a terrible. They have 2 designated spots, one was available the parking lot was completely full. I went for consultation on implants( they advertise really low prices ). After I got the estimate, I realized they were charging what everyone else does. Aside from the price the most annoying thing was the woman that always made sure she was in the room to make sure I was being charged correctly. She was the finance nazi. Everyone including the doctor had to clear everything with her first. If the prices are similar I would go to a more professional establishment. The place is very large with 10 or 12 cubicles... it is a dental factory driven purely by profit. Yes it is a business but there is no trust they are only focused on your wallet. They weren't rude, but very cold and no friendly attention whatsoever. The place literally leaves a bad taste in your mouth. If I am spending almost 10k I would want someone I liked to give my money to, let alone a smile..... from Dentists!!!!!!! Stay away. Their finance ghost still haunts me, I remember her the most! I called for a quote for braces, I was told one price over the phone and when I got to the office I was told another price due to the fact that I did have insurance. They wanted to double the price, totally unfair and unprofessional! I have been a patient for over a year and I've never seen such caring doctors as well as their staff. They are very honest and have a good "bedside manner" as a doctor. Dr. Pham and Hwang are very patient and perfectionist when it comes to taking care of their patients. Took my mother to Dr Hwang for an implant consultation due to another dentist recommendation. She could hardly chew and needed some serious dental work done. Dr Hwang and his staff were extra friendly and had a Vietnamese translator to explain the process to my mom which made her feel comfortable. Probably the best dental clinic I've been to thus far, and this is coming from a former dental assistant! The ambiance is like the luxurious spa of dental clinics. The facility is clean, tastefully decorated and thoughtful. There's even mouthwash in the bathroom! Every single one of the staff made me feel welcome with their friendly demeanor and all were beyond professional. Scheduling was the hardest part for me but only because I have a sporadic schedule; but the receptionists at the front desk were very patient and worked with my schedule. I was a bit late (maybe 5 minutes) for my appointment and I was still seen within 15 minutes. Dr. Pham asked me how I was doing often to make sure that I felt comfortable through every step of my cleaning. She was friendly, funny and did an amazing job with my teeth; she was very efficient (quickest cleaning I've ever sat through), detailed and thorough! My teeth have never sparkled more. She was receptive to my questions and gave great advice kindly without reprimanding like other dentists. The dental assistants were also very sweet, proficient in their tasks and worked well with the dentist. I have such confidence in all of the dentists here, and I couldn't help but notice all of their accolades on the wall right when you walk in. This doctor is an EXTORTIONIST . I had a toothache and went to see this doctor. On the first visit he couldn't find a reason for the pain then I told him it might be a fracture. We settled on an extraction if the pain is NOT relieved. Pain subsided significantly and today I got a call from this clinic for tooth extraction appointment. I told the lady my tooth is fine I do not have any pain. "So you are not coming" No I said, "then a bill for $700.00 is coming your way" these were the exact words she said. I went to see this dentist and he tried to create a panic in me and I was forced to pay $69.00 for a complete mouth exam. A needless exam. If you sign a prescribed treatment slip you will be liable for the cost even if you DO NOT need it. Never to see this person again. read more

The staff is very quick and friendly. I've had so many bad experiences going to the dentist and I pretty much cry as soon as I walk into a dentist's office, but here they were so quick and so kind to me that the whole ordeal was over with in no time. I was a little skeptical at first...the office is located in Chinatown across the street from the Crawfish and Noodles shopping center. Upon arrival, the staff was very nice and courteous. My brackets have never suddenly fallen off or have easily broken off as they used to when I was getting service done else where. Dr. Pham is wonderful.
