If I could give zero stars I would. I took my daughter here for her very first dental visit all the way until she turned 6. Yes the place is very "kid friendly" looking so I trusted them. When my daughter first went here she was not scared of dentists visits. Through the years every time we would go the dr would find something and give us a treatment plan that insurance would not fully cover. My daughter would always have cavaties and over time she got very afraid to go to the dentist. So then we would have to pay to have her be given laughing gas. The last time we went the dr said she again had cavaties, this time 3 or 4. My husband made a comment to me about how he didn't believe our daughter had cavaties and it just seems like they are trying to shake us down. So while on vacation we took our daughter to a dentist and guess what....they told us she didn't have any cavaties. So when we came back home I found another dentist and surprise they also said she didn't have any cavaties! Reading the other reviews it sounds like a common scam they are running telling parents their kids need all this work when they really don't. Pushing parents to put kids under to charge extra money. After spending a lot of money there feel scammed and would like a refund. Now my kid has silver teeth that she probably didn't need. Do not go to this dentist office if you love your children. All they did was traumatize my kid! And reading all the other similar reviews they are doing unnecessary work to over charge parents. read more

I have seriously been from one pediatric dentist to another for the past 5 years and I have finally found a wonderful practice! This place is not only AWESOME with kids play area and video games in the waiting room but they also have little private waiting areas for parents that are waiting for their child's procedure to be done. Ok to the most important part! The dentists here are ABOVE AND BEYOND! They have the patience and kindness for our little ones and they take their time to really explain exams, procedures, diagnosis and treatment plans. They are so thorough and pleasant. Plus they are very very reasonable. I have found a gem of a place and I can't recommend them enough!!! We had to have major oral surgery for my little one and everything was top notch! My kids won't be coming back to the Cinco Ranch office. While we did have a good experience with the staff, I have many complaints about wait time, scheduling services and dental procedures. I guess what really made me switch dentists is that in multiple occasions, I was told both my son and daughter needed to have cavities filled and even crowns. The doctor painted a very serious picture about the condition of my kids' teeth and was told to schedule the procedures quickly before they had to remove the entire tooth! One time she insisted my daughter should have a baby tooth removed because it was overlapping with her adult tooth. I told the doctor I would just wait and see if it fell of on its own, which it did. So, it would've been an unnecessary procedure. Then, on my kids' next visit, she checked my son's molars and said he now needed crowns since the cavities got much worse. Because of the first time she insisted on a procedure that really wasn't necessary, I went with my gut and booked another dentist for a second look. Turns out my son has only one small cavity and no need for crowns!!! The new doctor even said he wouldn't worry too much about that particular cavity because that tooth was going to fall out in about a year anyway. I'm so, so glad I didn't have my son and daughter do what the dentist told us to at the Cinco Ranch Pediatric Dental Safari!!! So just make sure you go with your gut if you decide to come to this office. And do ask questions! The doctor rushes in, speaks too fast, and walks out. On the good side, the hygienists were really nice and friendly, and the office is cute. Update: I just read the reply under my review and this person must have me confused with another mom! Lol! I NEVER threatened anyone or did we do anything she/he said on here! AT ALL. Wow! Another reason to NOT come back. And the lack of humbleness and professionalism in this reply is mind boggling. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! My advice is find another dentist. My office experience here was one for the books. Do not let the nice exterior fool you, the front desk ladies are augmentative, rude, unprofessional and lack transparency. (in particular, avoid speaking to a lady named Jocelyn). My daughter who is 7 came in to the office to have a procedure done under anesthesia. They gave me a treatment plan on what they estimate the insurance is going to pay and the remaining amount they think the balance will be. When I asked before the procedure what needed to be paid out of pocket Jocelyn had told me that that only the iv anesthesia would need to be paid out of pocket. Fast forward to day of treatment, my daughter is just coming out of anesthesia and they are demanding that I need to pay 5k at once. When I stated that this wasn't possible to pay at one time for me. Jocelyn explicitly told me they do not do payment plans. Even then they asked me what I could pay that day, which I then swiped my card for 1k. The demeanor and level of care immediately diminished as they started treating me like a criminal. Never was I aware of everything needed to paid in full, especially since everything is only an estimation without sending the bill to insurance. After I left and got my daughter in the car after having a major surgery on her mouth Jocelyn then called me again to harass me for my social, her father social etc. Literally treating me like a criminal. When I asked why this wasn't communicated beforehand Jocelyn said "Oh we don't communicate that" My main concern was my daughter getting home to rest and take care of her coming out of something major like iv anesthesia and the lack of unprofessionalism was astounding. I have no problem paying the amount as long as the office could work with me, so the fact that they were treating me like I ran out on services is offensive. While I do understand they must have had bad experiences they're ruining relationships and business with people who do have good intentions. Just BEWARE with their lack of communication, and the owners disregard for anything but getting his money all at once. They will not work with you and they do not care even after the services were already rendered! My experience was absolutely insane for a dentist. read more

We had a great experience at Pediatric dental safari with Dr. Kherani. My daughter just turned 5, and in her routine checkup she had two cavities. I was very nervous about the treatment because she usually refuses seeing doctors, having shots, taking medicines and so... But Dr. Kherani and her team did great! They comforted and distracted her very well, and doctor Kherani finished everything so quickly and precisely at the same time that my daughter was calm and relax the whole time. Without sedation and only using the laughing gas she didn't have (and still doesn't have!!!) any complaints at all!!! I highly recommend Pediatric dental Safari and dr Kherani. read more

As a parent, this place seems great for children; don't be fooled. The price and the way they are not flexible with payment is why I would not recommend coming here. They quoted me over $2,000 for my child. No payment plans, no care credit. We got a second opinion and my child doesn't need all the work PDS quoted. My daughter is extremely nervous about going to the dentist after having a bad experience in the past. Everyone at Safari was so patient with her especially the lady who cleaned her teeth. By the end of the appointment my daughter was laughing! She ended up needed an additional procedure with sedation and we were both so nervous!! We shouldn't have been. The staff at Pediatric Dental Safari is AMAZING! They are so efficient and you never have to wait long. The staff is so kind and helpful. I have called back before with questions I forgot to ask and they got back to me OR the doctor got on the phone with me. Additionally, the Dentists are so intelligent. The one I primarily have dealt with thoroughly explained my son's tongue tied condition and the surgery she was going to perform. She even called back so I could ask her more questions. My son, 4, did not want to leave. The lobby is filled with activities for all kids, video games, a kitchen with food, a giant connect 4, and store checkout area with groceries. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. On the second story parking garage is reserved parking for this Buisness and it's a short walking distance to the front doors. The exam room was so nice! My son had headphones to watch a ceiling mounted tv and patient staff members that made him feel comfortable the entire time. He can't wait to go back! read more

Took my almost 4year old son on Friday afternoon to PD Safari and we had a great experience. Cute Safari themed and office is nice & clean. They also have video games for them to play. We switched to Pediatric Dental Safari after several terrible experiences at our previous pediatric dentist. We made the move I believe in 2018/2019. Ever since coming here, from the moment you walk in, the staff is warm and welcoming. They have video games for kids, they have movies playing, and they have a small quiet play area. They also have a couple little nooks with comfortable loveseats and a tv that plays movies. From the hygienist, to the dental assistant to one of the dentists....they all are comforting to the kids, they speak to the kids like little adults and they put them at ease. They also were super sensitive to knowing one of my kiddos was a little stressed about a small filling and they just did an excellent job of calming him, giving him kudos on how great he is doing, etc... (this time, kid had no time to prepare mindset for a small filling. Otherwise, he would have been more relaxed). Dr. Damani and her staff are awesome. Thank you guys! read more
