Got my first camera from them back in 2016 :) This month, I pre-ordered an item with them that I really I wanted in my hands right away. Though I didn't end up continuing my pre order from them, Tanyo, the manager of burnaby, and the kerrisdale Langley Messenger were a great help! They are nice people and ready to help whether you're just there to browse, enquiry, or anything! Kerrisdale Langley Messenger is very helpful and quick to response on any question you need! We then went into the photograph room for a shot. The picture looked great. However I wish she has given me a mirror to tidy up a bit of my shoulder / sides before the shot. I should have asked first though. I ordered 2 physical pictures and 1 digital (sent by email). Total cost was $32 + tax. All in all I think it's worth it. I got the pictures within 30 minutes.

I got my old ones from Blacks years ago (no wonder…read morethey went out of business!) and they were so bad that I have had border agents LAUGH at my photo because I looked like I was having a very rough day. Stumbled upon Superbest Photos on Yelp and it was conveniently located downtown. Went on my lunch break to get my passport photos done and what a difference!!! They use professional lighting here so you don't look like you have perma-RBF since you can't smile in passport photos anymore. They also took multiple shots and let me pick the best one. Service was great and fast and honestly the best passport photos I have had in a while. I recently came back to get my headshots done, also very happy with the results. Anthony was great and really made sure I was happy with the results. They have a $49 option without retouching, and a $99 option with retouching included. Anthony actually told me I probably didn't need the $99 option (awww!) and I was very happy with the final product. I got the photos the same day, an hour later and he made sure the lighting was good! I remember getting my passport photos and school photos done waaaay back in the day in studios like this, so not only was it a nostalgic experience, but also phenomenal service and a great business overall. They also have their Yelp award proudly displayed and I can see why. If you are reading this review, I urge you to get your photo done here, this is a great way to support a good local business and there is truly a big difference to what you will get from a LD or Shoppers!

My visit was very pleasant, efficient, and I can see why the high star rating is consistent for this business. Anthony is a professional who has been in business here since 1990! You can see from the many photos, thank you notes, and certificates on display that he is involved with his community and strives for quality in his work. This is certainly a business I can get behind supporting. Show some love if you're in the market for passport photos or a business/professional portrait :)

They said the photo will not be same day. $20 for the passport photo if it is not same day and could take a day or two or even longer. The set up of the store doesn't look professional at all. If you want it same day, it would cost almost double but they did said the photo might not turn out right if it is on the same day. Not sure if they are developing it in the back room when they said that. I told them that I need to think about it and walked out. Sounds like the guys that work there are not sure what they are doing. Also note that the two guys that work there doesn't seem to speak very good English.

With in 10 days the center column started to wobble, I took the tripod back to the store and they replaced the central column (not the whole tripod). It worked for a few days and then the legs started getting stuck. This tripod was used for my business on daily basis. So I took the tripod in again for resolution, they took the tripod and sent it to the manufacturer, ( didn't replace). These people have no fu**ing clue where the tripod is and how long it will take, it is seriously getting ridiculous. I went to the store, the employees had nothing to say but shook their shoulders. I was thinking of making Broadway camera as my to go store for my business needs, but now I have completely lost trust in them. I have no clue when I will get the tripod back, they don't have a clue what's going on. I will not recommend Broadway Camera to anyone if they are looking for a good after sales service. better buy stuff online or elsewhere.

However, I did have to slightly trim down my print in order for it to fit a 5x7 photo frame I wanted to put it in, because there was a white border around half an inch thick around the main picture itself, which I did not realize increased the dimensions of the print. Quicksilver is closed on Sunday and Monday, so on Tuesday morning I got up early and went downtown. I arrived at around 8:45am even though I knew that Quicksilver did not open until 10am. I wanted to be there as early as possible. I parked in the business's designated parking space behind the building and waited. At 9:57 I got out of my car and walked around the building to Quicksilver's front door. I could see people inside and I assumed it was open, so I walked in. I was immediately scolded by the woman working there. She told me I was early and that I would have to wait. She did a few little things behind the counter while I stood there. Then at some point she checked her watch (or phone) an announced that it was now 10am and asked me what I needed. I said I am from out of town and was hoping to get a photo printed prior to my departure the next morning. Wow! I barely had those words out of my mouth before the angrily exclaimed "No Way!!" She spoke to me so harshly I was taken aback. I had not even finished my question. I actually stood there speechless for a few seconds. At that point she followed up with "if you really want it today, it will be a $100 rush fee and maybe I can get it by the end of the day." Look I get it - People are busy and my priorities are not their priorities. I also understand that there is apparently no local competition in this space. But it was one photo and she did not have to be so rude. I work in a service industry and try to help people whenever I can. It actually makes me happy when I can help someone. I immediately left Bellingham, drove to Vancouver (Vancouver Photo Lab) where a very nice man printed it while I waited. I turned around, drove back to Bellingham and I was back in town by 2:00pm. I had the mat and frame ready to go and I had it finished and on his wall by by 4pm. Left the next morning for Seattle at 4:30am. I strongly don't recommend Quciksilver.

He had a nice assortment of 9 or 10…read moreukuleles ( plus other assorted instruments) and we had good conversation about music and other things. He's very pleasant and knowledgeable and I was very happy to purchase two instruments from him. It's a very nice little store and very well worth a visit.
