Realistically, I don't think there's a big difference between this place and Kerrisdale Cameras, but sometimes Broadway gets things before Kerrisdale and vice versa, e.g., when it was released, Broadway got the Sony A7IV in stock before Kerrisdale, but you have to call both stores since the opposite is sometimes true as well. The staff here are generally knowledgeable but, per the above, nowadays, you can also get answers on the internet, so that doesn't obviously add a ton of value.

I thought it could be just those few times, but today's visit was very clear that the service has gone stale. I was looking to purchase an ExpoDisc 2.0 and I had to commandeer their attention. Here's what happened: I walked in to the store. There are no other customers. There are two staff and the store manager behind the counter. One of the staff was on a computer, the manager jumps on to have a conversation with that staff as soon as I walked towards him. The second staff joined them after a few seconds. All three ignored me as if I (and my two kids) didn't exist. After standing in front of them without a batting an eye at me, I spoke up. But only the second staff finally responded with the other one and the store manager still engaged at the computer. In the end, I left the store without the product I came to get. And because of my experiences lately, I think I'm going to bring my business elsewhere. Today's experience brought me back to when you guys were still in Aberdeen where service, literally, did not exist. Thanks Broadway Camera for those couple of years you've been good to your customers. Back when the other store managers and staff took care of their customers.

It was my first time developing film and I had such a positive experience - not only when dropping off the film, but also when picking it up. When dropping off the film, the lady (I think her name was Steph) was very nice and guided me through the process. She took her time to educate me on the prices and types of film they offered. The second time I went, Paul allowed me to view my photos at the store to see if I wanted to continue using the film I had or to purchase other options. Neither times felt intimidating - it was a very comfortable experience. Would highly recommend coming here for any camera needs!!

Ordered a glossy 5x7 photo print online, and the print was ready the next day! Very speedy, good…read moreprice, and the print itself was beautiful and high quality, no loss in graphics. However, I did have to slightly trim down my print in order for it to fit a 5x7 photo frame I wanted to put it in, because there was a white border around half an inch thick around the main picture itself, which I did not realize increased the dimensions of the print. I had a need to print a photo before I left Bellingham on Wednesday (8/23). I live in Georgia and…read morewanted to leave a gift for my son in Bellingham; a framed image that we had taken at Artist Point over the weekend. Quicksilver is closed on Sunday and Monday, so on Tuesday morning I got up early and went downtown. I arrived at around 8:45am even though I knew that Quicksilver did not open until 10am. I wanted to be there as early as possible. I parked in the business's designated parking space behind the building and waited. At 9:57 I got out of my car and walked around the building to Quicksilver's front door. I could see people inside and I assumed it was open, so I walked in. I was immediately scolded by the woman working there. She told me I was early and that I would have to wait. She did a few little things behind the counter while I stood there. Then at some point she checked her watch (or phone) an announced that it was now 10am and asked me what I needed. I said I am from out of town and was hoping to get a photo printed prior to my departure the next morning. Wow! I barely had those words out of my mouth before the angrily exclaimed "No Way!!" She spoke to me so harshly I was taken aback. I had not even finished my question. I actually stood there speechless for a few seconds. At that point she followed up with "if you really want it today, it will be a $100 rush fee and maybe I can get it by the end of the day." Look I get it - People are busy and my priorities are not their priorities. I also understand that there is apparently no local competition in this space. But it was one photo and she did not have to be so rude. I work in a service industry and try to help people whenever I can. It actually makes me happy when I can help someone. I immediately left Bellingham, drove to Vancouver (Vancouver Photo Lab) where a very nice man printed it while I waited. I turned around, drove back to Bellingham and I was back in town by 2:00pm. I had the mat and frame ready to go and I had it finished and on his wall by by 4pm. Left the next morning for Seattle at 4:30am. I strongly don't recommend Quciksilver.

He's very pleasant and knowledgeable and I was very happy to purchase two instruments from him. It's a very nice little store and very well worth a visit.
