I had made a few errors on my paperwork and they helped me correct the mistakes to ensure I was able to comply my transaction. When I got to the window, the gentleman was polite, professional and courteous. There was a few issue with the additional paperwork I needed. I had never purchased a vehicle from a private seller and made a few documentation mistakes. He advised me on what to do and allowed me the chance to rectify it. He told me to come right back to him if his window was open. I wish I got the gentlemen's name. He had tattoos and a shaved head. He stayed late on the holiday to help me. He was truly a Christmas blessing. I'm thankful for his help and service.

Finally…read moreon the 3rd visit I got there about 20 minutes before opening ( opens 9am) waiting in line outside and got in and got my ticket and waited. ( they have been so insanely busy). I honestly did not wait long at all and I did not have an appointment. I tried getting an appointment but they were literally booked for the rest of this year so I took my chances. From the time I got my ticket till they actually called me, It was only about 45 minutes plus the 20 minutes I waited outside. They were actually really friendly took my information l, took my picture and I was on my way. I also renewed my license even though I had two years left because you get half off if you do it early, so that was nice. Definitely word of advice. Get there before it opens and have all your information. All in all wasn't too bad.

Time to renew my license, and have my eyes checked. there's a kiosk of sorts and someone to help you if you need it. The machine generates a number based on what you have to do here today. In the meantime, sit back, relax do whatever, to pass the time. Once they call your number, the process is very fast It's pretty organized here, compared to some of NY DMV's, I've been to. Covid screwed a lot of places where you HAD to be seen in person. So far so good. No horror story to tell.

The marker reads, "Fishkill was a center of civil and military operations during the American Revolution. New York State's first governing body met in the village's churches during 1776-77 and drew up the first state constitution. "South of Fishkill, centered in the Van Wyck homestead was the largest American army supply depot in the north. Relatively safe from British attack, the Fishkill supply depot included dozens of buildings, shops and warehouses. Its strategic location at the hub of transportation made possible the provisioning of American forces operating over a wide region. The depot also served as a staging area and winter encampment. Washington, Horatio Gates, and other important military leaders were associated with the supply depot and Enoch Crosby, the alleged model for the hero of James Fenimore Cooper's novel, The Spy, was interrogated at the Van Wyck house and imprisoned in a hatter's shop in Fishkill." The marker was erected in 1974 by the New York State Education Department, the New York State American Revolution Bicentennial Commission, and the New York State Department of Transportation.
