They saw a street fair and big building with no markings on it that looked like a factory. We understood that we'd have to do everything, and thanks to her wonderful friends it ended up looking fantastic and was a great party. But the Loft really did nothing except take her money and open one door to get into the room. They literally couldn't have done less.

Blessed Sacrament Girl Scout Troops 2389/2568/2835 were happy to come together, not just to celebrate the Daisies/Brownies/Juniors/Cadettes/Seniors who were bridging to the next level in Girl Scouts, but we also had the privilege to celebrate four young ladies who were bridging from Ambassadors to Adults - effectively graduating from our Girl Scouting Program under Girl Scouts of Greater New York. These young ladies have dedicated up to 13 years to Girl Scouting and have been friends/sisters to each other through the majority of this journey. We consider these graduating girls our "CORE" - our troops' Girl Scouting program was built upon their ongoing participation and they have set a wonderful example for their Girl Scout Sisters coming up behind them - doing their "best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout." just as the Girl Scout Law deems they should The decorations were IMPECCABLE and BEAUTIFULLY DONE - far exceeding our expectations! Nora really brought the vision together, we just had to add a few personal touches when we arrived (a banner and a picture addition to the table centerpieces). It was really an elegant and elevated affair - just what we were looking for! Nora and the staff at Studio 17 Bushwick treated all of our guests with respect and professionalism second to none. Nora was extremely responsive to all questions and requests - I was happy to have a partner like her in planning this event. She really matched my own level of organization which was super helpful. They do not stand by advertised requirements and will arbitrarily dismiss volunteers when they have exceeded their quota but only after volunteers (and families) have committed time and good faith to the event. There is a serious lack of transparency with capturing hours and someone really needs to conduct a thorough audit of their system. Save yourselves the grief and trouble and volunteer with another organization that is worthier and willing to treat volunteers with respect and not like disposable garbage.

I found Innovation Loft during my search to find an appropriate venue to host a 2 day conference on UDL (Universally Designed Learning) for 50+ educators who work with students with brain-based learning and thinking differences. I was initially concerned about choosing Innovation Loft because, as a non-profit, our budget is limited. However, after a consultation with the Loft's Manager, Lauren Thomas, which included a tour of the space and a demonstration on how it could be tailored to our specific needs, I was convinced that Innovation Loft would be the perfect venue to host our event. Over our 2 days at the Loft, I specifically appreciated all the extra energy and diligence that Lauren and her great team (Collin & Max) put in to ensure that everything ran smoothly - they frequently replenished the snacks, coffee, tea, water, and soft drinks, checked up on the state of the bathrooms, provided a private office room for our working moms to use as a lactation room, worked with me each morning to do sound & visual quality checks before our sessions began, and kept up constant communication with me so that we were aligned on the run-of-show timing, materials, and space layout needs. Thanks to Lauren's team sweating all the small stuff, my team and our presenters felt empowered and confident while delivering our 2 days worth of content and activities at Innovation Loft.
