So I sat on my glasses...yeah, sat on them and when I called the office and asked about possibly fixing them they told me to come right in and see what they can do. So I go in today and the girls start looking at how they're going to fix my hopeless looking glasses. Point is, the girls really worked hard at trying to fix my glasses and they got my glasses a temporary fix so that I'm not left blind lol and they are going to call me back to see if my specific glasses are still in stock. By the way, I feel I should add in here my first initial visit when I got my glasses was great as well! I work for a company where customer service is extremely important to us and when I visit other places, I always end up comparing the type of service they offer. Today the staff at new world optometric really blew me away. They went out of their way to fix my glasses and took their time. So thank you sooo much. I have been going to New World Optometric off and on for the last 20 years. I started out there when I got my first job and first vision insurance. Dr. Connie immediately makes you feel at ease. She's always so knowledgable and informative, and I trust her. My insurance has changed through the years so I've tried the Costco route, the LensCrafters route... But never felt the same level of care, concern and trust as I did here. I've gone to other optometrists that accepted my insurance, but felt like I was constantly being up-charged and up-sold on services and products. Her staff have been prompt and responsive to returning my calls. And they always inform me of the most up to date rebates. THEE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT AN OPTOMETRY BY A COUNTRY MILE! It was my very first time here too. I walked in to see if I can get an eye exam and immediately I received a warm welcome from one of the workers, I believe her name is Ivy but I could be mistaken. She was very accommodating and she tried hard to squeeze me in in what was already a busy schedule for the day. I'm very thankful that she was really flexible with me, as I felt I was being a bit needy. I came back later in the day and filled out the paperwork, which was through a plastic film and dry erase marker (very smart and resourceful of them because they don't have to waste paper... geniuses). I did not have to wait very long at all and I finished the first portion of my eye exam in about 10 minutes, probably even less. The eye exam was slightly different than what I've experienced in the past, however, it was extremely thorough and efficient. Ivy gave good and simple directions. If you get confused... it's on you. Also, the equipment is clean and they'll wipe the spots where your face rests in front of you so don't worry about them germs people. At last, I'm directed to the main room and Dr. Park comes in. She was incredibly kind, patient and thoughtful throughout the 2nd portion of my exam. There are a couple of things, that I would like to point out about her. Number one, she knows what she's talking about. It's hard to explain but she has this great confidence and aura about her when she talks to you. You will know what I'm talking about when you go in, just trust me on this. Number two, I definitely felt cared for as a patient. She is a great listener (almost therapeutic) and she seemed genuinely concerned about the overall health of my eyes, not only just my vision; whether I properly rinse my contact lenses, giving advice on how to avoid eye infections, making sure my lenses are comfortable, and giving her expertise based off of my circumstances in terms of my screen time and hobbies. And finally, one of the biggest dealbreakers, the price. The rates are soooooo reasonable. I will guarantee you that Dr. Park's rates are very competitive, if not better than other optometries around the area. I've spent 10+ years searching for an optometrist, and let me tell you, I have found the TRUTH. I can never go to another optometry ever again. Thank you Dr. Park and staff! I was able to get my eye exam and get some contact orders in. The wait wasn't too long. The front desk staff and technicians were very welcoming and friendly, and Dr. Park was very informative and helpful during my eye exam. She told me how to exercise my eyes and she asked important questions that my old optometrist wouldn't. She suggests different kinds of contacts according to your lifestyle and personal needs! I have really dry eyes and I try to stretch my 2-week contacts to 3- so she gave me month long contacts that stay moist for a longer period of time. She even adjusted my glasses and made sure they were comfortable on my face. I'm now going to be a regular patient. :) read more

Broken glasses on a Friday afternoon! One call to Dr. Park and her staff to get it fixed. Her Staff understood the urgency and since we couldn't make it into the office on Friday they made it so easy to come in on Saturday to get the frames switched out. Please see review from someone else dated 6/2016. I understand this is a business. But let me start from the beginning: I called today because I needed a copy of prescription. THANKFULLY I read the above review before my initial (AND LAST) visit last June and asked for a copy there and then. So I had it. But it didn't have the right and left PD measurements. I called today to get that information because, as I told NANCY, my dog ate my glasses and my insurance would not be kicking in until June. She said, basically, the measurements are done by the person measuring me for glasses and that information could not be given out "per doctor's discretion". I couldn't believe it! I said I would be coming in June when my insurance starts again, but I still got a no. I also told her that a previous doctor had no problem giving me MY MEDICAL/PRESCRIPTION information (just the PD info) but I was given a NO again. THIS IS NOT A WAY TO GET RETURN BUSINESS, Sure, come here if you have the extra bucks to replace a pair of glasses without insurance. But I am thinking most don't. I would of come back in June to get my new glasses (which means $$$$ for you, New World Vision Center) but not anymore. And withholding MY medical information? If you're in need of an eye exam, new glasses, contacts, etc., give this place a visit because this place is a gem! I agree with pp that commented on the office staff. I have been coming here for 6 years and this year they just lost a customer because of their staff. The doctors are nice. I have met with both female doctors. My last visit was in early 2013 when I had my exam the dr told me about a promotion if I ordered a years worth of contacts. The promo included a $20 rebate and a full size contact solution. Well fast foward two months later I still have not received any information about the $20 rebate and have not received the contact solution. When I ordered the contacts I specifically asked about the promotion and indicated I wanted the contact solution and rebate form. I've called twice about it now. When my husband went to pick up the contact solution the girl at the front desk (hispanic girl) told my husband that they ran out. What do you mean you ran out?!?! If someone purchases the promotion then they should receive the promotion. So far I've only received my overpriced contacts (more on that later). Not only that but I didn't get my rebate form. That was the only reason I purchased a year's worth of contacts. Otherwise, I would have just continued ordering from 1-800-contacts. Lower prices and they are delivered to my door. The second time I call about the rebate and contact solution the girl at the front desk (again the hispanic girl) gives me an attitude and tells me that she told my husband they would call when they had more. Well they should have never given mine away since I prepaid for everything. She couldn't even give me direct information about the promotion. I told her when I ordered them I asked for the rebate form but she didn't even have information to give me and said she would call me back. Well she hasn't. That really upset me because how can you offer a promotion and the office staff not have the details. I spoke with two girls. The first placed my order and she was nice (asian), returned my phone call when she didn't have an answer for me but the second girl (hispanic) was rude, didn't return my phone call. Now let's get to the price ... drum roll .... One eye exam, contact sitting fee, and contacts for one year cost me .... $375!!! And I have VSP insurance! Never again. I also disagree about finding glasses that you will like. I spent time looking and could not find one pair I liked. I'll stick to Costco for glasses, thank you. Update: same day as I post this review I spent nearly 15 minutes arguing with the "manager" (same hispanic girl that I mentioned above). She treats customers so unprofessional and so rude. There was no need for me to argue with her but she kept insisting she gave me information about my claim that she did not. She could care less about customers and did not care for my complaint about the price in which I verified today I overpaid and was overcharged. She pretty much told me there was nothing I could do. I cannot believe how she treats long term patients. So sad for Dr. Park as this is her business but the actions of her office manager will effect her business. Oh and here is the best thing. This was all after I called AGAIN. She never even called me back but starts out by telling me they have the contact solution. Ugh yeah well I guess you think I have a crystal ball since you never called me to inform me. Now off to VSP and complain about their service and the claim they submitted. read more

My eye exam was sooo efficiently thorough, which in my experiences with past optometrists have been rare. The store's really clean and the staff is very helpful. For all the comprtition out there...this place isn't that great. Bad location as it's right on the corner of Euclid and Baker, so there's a lot of traffic. It's not eay to spot as it kinda blends in. My biggest issue...the front office staff, not very friendly nor compitent. The doctor is okay, but seeme kind of creepy fake in her personality. The staff is really nice here and is very accommodating. Not a huge selection for glasses but enough to where you will definitely find something that you like. If you get contacts, the doctor does the fitting to make sure it's the right prescription and that it fits for your eye (i.e. astigmatism or dry eyes). read more

Very good place! Dr. Park was pretty chill and I didn't feel forced to buy anything I didn't want. They have a good selection of glasses from no name brands (well within my budget, yayee!) to high up scale names like Gucci and Prada. They get pretty busy so I'd advise to show up a lil bit earlier than your appt time. Oh! While I was waiting this Korean mom of 3 started talking with me. Turns out she's been bringing her whole family to this place for the past 7+ years or so, and that seems like the trend among most of the families that go here. I'm stationed in Yuma, AZ now (navy/marine corps), but I know I'll definitely be making the 4 hr drive to Fullerton to get all my eyewear needs here when I visit my family. read more
