I used to make the drive here even after I moved because I've been going to Dr Yoon for almost two decades now & love her. However, along with recent incidents due to some change in management, my trip today was really appalling. Let's start with January when I scheduled my annual exam, I came in & noticed the place looked really disorganized & saw some new employees. This man asked me how he could help & I let him know that I had an appointment. He proceeded to tell me that I was early for my annual exam since I was just here 6 months ago in May. I had never had an issue of booking my appointments before the one year mark & was wondering why I wasn't given a phone call then before I came in if this was a problem. I let him that it's been 8 months technically & if it was a problem and he proceeded to say no. Then along with looking disorganized & the busiest I've ever seen them, I noticed a different optometrist then Dr Yoon & asked if she retired & was told she had semi-retired & only came twice a week so I asked to reschedule based off of everything. I saw another lady write in a calendar book my new appointment for March. I showed up for my appointment in March & made the drive again to get told they don't see my appointment. Don't know how that happened because I saw her write it in their calendar on that day the time slot I was coming. Dr Yoon graciously still saw me & along with contacts I ordered some new glasses. Typically my glasses & contacts come within 2 weeks.. max 3 & I usually get a call when it's ready & I get told if only one is ready & given the option to wait til both are ready. They have this new generic texting system where it said my glasses and/or contacts are ready & so my bad.. I get it says "or" but you would think that if only one was ready, they'd let me know. So I leave work early today to go pick them up, just to be told only my glasses are ready. The same guy from the January visit shows me my glasses... & I'm not quite sure they're mine because they look different from what I remember. These today had this distinct mark at the ends that are pretty noticeable that I don't recall seeing the last time. When I mention me not being sure this is what I ordered, he proceeds to do this condescending laugh saying it is what I ordered. Not sure what was so funny but I didn't say anything the first time but as we are still discussing this manner, he proceeded to laugh again & so I had to ask "what is so funny about this situation right now?" That's when a younger girl who worked there stepped in & was very professional, sweet & tried to make the matter right. While she was working with me, he tried to jump into our convo & to be frank, I told him I didn't want to talk to him. Normally in a situation like this, you would think as an employee, he would give me my space but he proceeded to say to me "I don't want to talk to you either". I wish I was making this up. Then when I proceeded to make a comment about his laugh being unnecessary in this situation, he said "should I have cried then?" in Korean. That comment is not only incredibly inappropriate & rude but it does acknowledge that he indeed was laughing. I was in shock that this is how a business talks to their customers & so I had to say my piece to him about how he was talking to me. I ended up talking to the new manager because Dr Yoon wasn't there but it seems like these two guys are friends because he didn't even care to hear everything about what happened & was abrupt with basically saying "there's no way we could have gotten your glasses mixed up. You could have just read his laugh the wrong way. How do you want us to fix the glasses? Do you want to just replace them" along with the most half-*ssed apology. I even told him that last time I came I heard another lady say that her glass order was wrong and he said it could be her not remembering due to her old age & it was me not remembering maybe due to it being almost a month ago. Like holy cow...so long story long.. i knew there was no point in getting into it with this guy about my feedback expecting anything to change. I ended up just talking to the younger girl again & my hands were even shaking when I was writing my address down because I was in such shock & had so much anger over what happened. She was sweet enough to offer to personally deliver my contacts but I declined since I know it's a long drive for her. I kept the glasses because I don't want to deal with this place any longer & feel very uncomfortable with that man. I planned on still coming here until Dr Yoon retired but I won't be back. Please please STAY FAR AWAY from this place.. read more

Took me exactly 5 weeks to get my glasses done and I had to call every other day for 3 weeks just so I can get an update. I was told they'd be ready in 2 weeks. They didn't call me when my glasses were ready, I had to call and find out they were ready for pickup. I've been wearing glasses for 20 yrs and never did I have to wait 5 whole weeks to get my glasses. Very disappointing. read more

been coming here ever since i was little. everyone is so knowledgeable and sweet. eye checkups to prescription orders are offered. there is a variety of glasses to sunglasses, cheap to expensive. do make an appointment prior to visiting. wednesdays are closed so note that. accepts most insurance except Kaiser. ask that too prior to visitation. always grateful for their superb service! i highly recommend! read more

Been coming here ever since I was a kid with my family! The staff are all very friendly and professional. I frequently get complimented on my glasses. It's because I get them here! They suggest the best styles for your face and also what's currently trending. Making an appointment is so easy and Dr. Yoon is super friendly and gentle during the exam. Probably my worst eyeglass experience in my life. I ordered sunglasses, but the optician has not contacted me for over a month. Two weeks later, I went to the optician twice, but they just told me to wait and didn't say anything. When I called again a month later, they were told that they were still cutting their sunglasses. I made a visit on Thursday to fix a foreign object in my eye - plastic beads from face cleansers-, and I have left with no improvements/results at all... While I was under the care of an optometrist - not Yoon-, she was explaining how my eyes could not be fixed because she had no tools that can bring out that bead, further stating how she has left them at the other office. Furthermore, she has not offered any other resolutions for her inadequacy. From our conversation, she was more concerned about tissues encapsulating the bead in my eyeball and told me to visit a surgical doctor. Despite this, I had this problem - my simple eye problem - fixed at another optometry office. Nonetheless, I was almost forced to pay the full payment of 60 dollars, if and only if, I had not discussed the unfair payment. Fortunately, I found out that my insurance has been validated and saved me from paying that FULL FEE. If an optometrist has no tools, then what good is her place in the office/practice? I called this location a few times before actually coming in to get my contacts through my insurance company VSP. They were very accommodating and the optometrist helped me find contacts that were best fitting for my eyes. I've had contacts before but they discontinued the brand I was used to getting so ended up with a different brand. This location gets very busy and the only gripe I had was that I had to make multiple trips in order to get what I needed. Tip: Make sure you confirm all prices before you start anything and before you pay clarify what you paid already and make sure they document all payments made. As I was leaving after my 3rd trip they tried to charge me for something I already fulfilled with my co-pay. read more

I've been going to Korean eyeglass places since I was in elementary school. I'm pretty familiar with what to expect. But my experience here was a bit lacking. Long story short: they have a decent selection a bit on the smaller side but customer service/quality of nose piece adjustment was lacking. After about 10 years of going to an optometry in Garden Grove, we decided to try this place because of the reviews and convenient location. My first visit went smoothly. The man helping us gave us a lot of time and was very courteous (though he didn't give us any suggestions for sunglasses based on the ones I had tried out). He kinda left us alone to do our own thing (which can be good for some bad for others). I had to wait/ flag him down to try some new pairs after a round of looking in the mirror, asking opinions, etc. The selection here is a bit smaller than what I am used to. They carry quite a bit of ray bans, tom fords...I think I also saw dior, chanel, Burberry, maui jims as well as generic brands. But there were less selections of styles within those brands compared to larger Korean stores. One plus is that they have a lit of asian fit styles (bridges for flatter noses). After finding a pair I liked, we got a decent price and left. The glasses were ready fairly quickly. If that was the end of my experience this place would get 4.5 stars. Unfortunately the asian fit doesn't fit well for me so after some time I brought the glasses back to replace the built in plastic nosepiecewith the screw on removable type. This requires shaving off part of the nosepiece and attaching the new nosepads. Not the easiest adjustment but still a relatively simple one. I went to go pick up my sunglasses several days after they said it would be ready. Unfortunately they said it wouldnt be ready till next week because a part had broken and they needed to reorder it. Apparently they had tried calling to let us know but we had not picked up. Usually people leave a message if the other person doesnt pick up...especially if it's an unknown number which people tend not to answer but they never left a message. We called them a week later (didnt want to make the same mistake of going and not having it ready) and it still wasn't done. 3 weeks later finally it was ready. They offered no real reason for the long delay. Just paid and went. I have friends who are in the optometry business. I know it doesn't take that long to do. And even after the long delay the end quality of the job was not that good. The edge of the shaved off plastic nosepiece was not as smoothly sanded down as it could have been and the quality of thr nosepiece is poor. Usually the attached nosepiece makes glasses more sturdy on your face but these felt flimsy. I could have gone back to get them adjusted more for my face but I didnt bother. Will be going somewhere else to have the nosepiece replaced and adjusted. The one plus is that the nosepiece replacement was pretty cheap. But at this quality and delay it wasnt worth it. read more

Probably my worst eyeglass experience in my life. I have been wearing glasses for over 30 year so I have been to MANY stores over the years. First of all, the selection of eyeglasses is less than half of what you find elsewhere in this area. Yes, usually more does not mean more of what you are looking for but they didn't have anything by Ovvo Optics, Silhoutte and so on. Wife and daughter also needed frames, the sales person very unhelpful in helping us find what suits us. Well, we finally picked what we liked and came back two weeks later to pickup glasses. I couldn't leave my reading eyeglasses I brought one to be installed at the store. What was supposed to be a 30 minute deal, took more than an hour and 20 minutes. Not very apologetic either. I am not coming back to this place ever again. read more

I've been coming here for years and years. They're actually the first optometrist I've ever been to and plan to stay with them for a long time. They have a large selection of frames, high quality prescription lenses at reasonable prices and fast turnaround. I tend to go through glasses like a pair of socks, I just pound on them until they're pulverized and unusable. Actually my socks probably last longer. Enough about socks and on to glasses. I just had three custom lenses made, a transitional prescription clear, a prescription green custom lens for my Rayban sunglasses and finally a back up lens for playing sports. They are all perfect and the price was affordable. Highly recommend! By the way, one piece of advice for people who complain about this fine establishment. If you make an appointment, for any place, DO NOT BE LATE. Not even one second. Actually be a little early and wait patiently as depending on any given day, a rush may come and understand they may get busy and backed up. I don't get how people can give a one star review because they were late for their appointment and were not helped right away. There is only one word for John's whining and it's annoying. read more

I have been coming here since high school. Dr. Yoon is great, very thorough. The optical side has a good variety of name brands frames and sunglasses. My whole family comes here and friends i have referred as well. The selection is extensive and there is something for all budgets. read more

Me and my son love this place we have been patients for about 4 years. They are quite k and have a pretty nice selection of frames. I love the optometrist too. She took care of my son's vision during high school while he swam and played water polo. The are very family oriented. read more

I wish i can give minus 5 stars for this place. This place is called I care but its more like I DONT care. We booked an appointment for two people and yet they claimed we only booked for one person so one of us will have to wait to accomodate other people. Are you kidding me??? This lady with the glasses even complained that we came in late. We were late 8minutessss 8 freaking minutes!!! You wouldnt have made that next appointment if you booked us correctly in the first place. Astrocious customer service and they did not even apologize to us. Unbelievable. I've been coming here since i was in grade school Haha! There's a reason i keep coming back. its been a decade and a half having my eyes checked by dr. Yoon. She always so nice and honest! The store has most of the popular brands and frames you would want to have in glasses and sunglasses. Im a contact lens wearer and she has all the options you need (soft, hard, disposables, etc). This place is definitely in the middle of fullerton's korean region so you'll notice the workers dont speak English fluently but they definitely try to be helpful as possible. Highly recommended! I tried to buy just glasses frame without lenz but it still requires to get an eye exam.. not sure why.. but rule is rule.. Anyway, I didn't buy anything and I just walked away. I've been coming here for a while. I'm giving 4 stars because I've never been anywhere else, so I have nothing really to compare this place to. The eye exams are good, I never have anything to complain about and whenever I have a question she answers them. The only thing I don't like much but is not too big of a deal is that once or twice I got someone else to do my eye exam. the way I see it is that if I had Dr. Yoon do it from the beginning I would like to have her do my eye exams every time I go there... Oh Goodness, these are the best glasses I've ever owned. Dr. Yoon checked my vision twice (are you sure I have to wear glasses all the time)! What an awesome Lady, very easy to talk to about my concerns in getting my first pair of glasses "I have to wear daily". Mr. Kim worked with me to find the glasses to fit my personality. Mr. Kim is such a perfectionist when he fitted the glasses on my face. Did I mention Dr. Yoon came out and checked on me once my glasses arrived to make sure I was happy with the way the prescription came out? I didn't get half way down the road home and turned right back around and asked them to make me a pair of sunglasses. It feels great to see the world again. Love this place! Dr. Yoon is definitely one of my favorite doctors to visit. Ive been going to her since i was a kid. She is very friendly and polite. She is great with dealing with patients of ALL AGES. I remember as a kid she would talk to me during the exam to keep me calm and relaxed. Even now, she still has conversations with me whenever i go to her office. Her staff is also very polite and professional. She is good at making recommendations for the type of frames a person looks good in. There is a wide variety of glasses at her store, and she usually keeps up with the trends, so she has the frames that are trending. I usually do not have to wait very long to get in for my appointments and she usually takes walk-ins if she has time. Overall, she is a great doctor, who has a lot of experience in regards to her occupation as well as in regards to dealing with children and adults. She always tries to make sure that her patients are well and cared for. Her staff is also amazing! read more
