After they talked to insurance (which took another few weeks), they admitted that they wrongly charged me and would provide me with a check in two weeks when they got the money back from the insurance company. I tried calling them over 10 times to find out the status of my reimbursement, left countless messages and still no one was able to put me on the phone with the billing manager I was speaking to (named Michelle). I was hung up on by another administrator, called back and left a message for Dr. MacLaren himself, who didn't call me back either. Finally, fed up with this treatment, I decided to dispute this charge. They responded back to the claim lying that I authorized the charge. Be careful when dealing with this medical office! I am definitely wary of giving my card number in situations like this in the future.

They give you a list of instructions to be seen. I wait 2 hours to get a COVID test at an urgent care prior to my visit, i don't eat for 4 hours like instructed to do so. I show up to the appointment for them to tell me someone called me at 2pm (3 hours before my appointment) and left a voicemail that it has been canceled. So i show up to be told the doctor could not see me and was told THREE HOURS VIA VOICEMAIL. Do not waste your time these people are not worth it. Go to Stony Brook Bariatric. I promise you they actually value their patients time and health.
