They are technically incompetent and a very unprofessional shop! They installed a remote start…read moremodule in my car on November 16th. When I picked it up I noticed the AC was stuck on max heat regardless of the temperature setting. I returned it to Tint World and they told me the issue was unrelated to the remote start they had just installed. I asked them to uninstall the remote start. When I picked it up the blind spot monitoring system and the automatic lights were now malfunctioning and the AC still not working. At this point I had paid them to install AND uninstalled the product. I took the car to a local Lexus dealership who confirmed all 3 problems were related to the remote start: 1. Multiple ground wires were cut and left exposed. These exposed wires came in contact with the AC amplifier power source causing a short. 2. The wire that goes to the automatic light sensor was cut. 3. The button that controls the blind spot monitoring system was damaged after that panel had to be removed for the install. I submitted a detailed report to Tony Scott, the manager at Tint World of Huntington. Despite clear evidence they refuse to refund me for any of the damage they caused to my vehicle. The staff here are technically incompetent and very unprofessional. I demand that they take responsibility for the damage they caused and I will be taking legal action against them.

This isn't my first time getting tints; I've had them done on several other vehicles by a different vendor without any issues. This place was recommended by a friend who apparently got lucky with his install, despite the poor reviews I read afterward. Tint World claims to offer a lifetime warranty and boasts about their services before installation, but after voicing my dissatisfaction and driving down to their shop, Tony informed me that they won't replace or refund the shoddy work on my windshield. When I asked about the lifetime warranty, he said it only applies to peeling and mentioned a 5% margin of error during installation, which is not disclosed in the shop or on my receipt. They did nothing to correct the situation. I hope they reconsider standing behind their work and making things right. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this place for tints.

The work was sloppy. Areas like the rear diffuser and behind the license plate weren't even properly washed, which is unacceptable for a service that's supposed to include clay bar and paint correction. Corners were obviously cut. Basic detailing was ignored--the trunk wasn't opened or cleaned, and the inside of the rear window was left dirty. This is detailing 101. The workmanship feels careless and lacks pride. As someone who knows cars, I can confidently say this was a poor job. If you work hard for your money, don't spend it here.

I just bought out my '11 Subaru Legacy lease and wanted a good all-around tint job using the minimal amount of money from what I had left over. Before choosing this place, I looked at about 7 other places around long island and they all either charged too much, did bad jobs, or both. I found New York City Window Tinting on Google, looked at many photos of jobs they did in the past, then called them up for an estimate, then made an appointment. This place has great service. The owner let me hang out in the garage and even gave me the remote to the TV while I watched my windows getting worked on. Everyone I met that works there is very professional and at the same time very laid back, down to earth, and easy to talk to. And, most importantly, this place did an amazing job tinting my windows without me having to break the bank. Deinitely a great spot! read more

I had a great experience with NYC Window Tinting. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They did a fantastic job on my car, and I could really see the difference in temperature and glare while driving. Only downside was that it took a little longer than I expected, but the quality was worth it. Overall, highly recommend if you need tinting done! read more

I recently got my car tinted here, and while it looks decent, I had higher expectations. The service was good, but the finish wasn't as clean as I hoped. There are definitely better options, but it's not the worst experience. Worth checking, but maybe shop around a little. read more

From road salt to flying rocks, I didn't want to take any chances, so I opted for at least a full front-end PPF immediately. I worked directly with Kyle and Tony, and they were phenomenal. Communication was top-notch, clear, responsive, and detailed at every step of the process. They walked me through everything, set expectations clearly, and delivered exactly what they promised. The quality of their work is outstanding. The film is flawless, the edges are clean, and the car looks incredible while being fully protected where it matters most. On top of that, their pricing was very competitive, especially considering the level of craftsmanship and care involved. What really stood out was the follow-up visit about a week later to ensure everything cured properly. That extra attention to detail shows how much pride they take in their work. Once the weather improves, I'll absolutely be back to finish protecting the rest of the car. I would strongly caution anyone against using this detailing company. I had my car detailed by them…read moreand it came back with major damage. In addition to scratches all over the roof and spoiler, they used chemicals and cleaners that should not have been used on my vehicle. This resulted in permanent stains on the exterior trim, staining throughout the wheel wells, and blotchy marks across the leather and interior trim. Another professional detailing company evaluated the vehicle and provided a written report. That report states the entire car now needs to be redone inside and out just to correct these mistakes, with an estimated cost of $400. That figure does not include the roof repair, which was estimated at an additional $500, the paint damage on the side mirror at approximately $100, or the cost to replace the permanently stained trim pieces... not to mention that they also ruined the carpeting in my trunk from cleaning it way too aggressively. I was also informed that the scratches on the spoiler and roof went through both the clear coat and the paint, which means those areas will require complete sanding and repainting to be properly corrected. To make matters worse, I later learned that the owner, Adam, is only 20 years old and that his LLC was created just two months before my appointment. In my experience, Adam handled the situation very poorly. Rather than taking responsibility, he was dismissive and argumentative, and he showed no willingness to make things right. He even had his father do the detailing work on my car. After I raised these issues, his communication became extremely unprofessional. He repeatedly texted me in a very unprofessional and immature manner, told me that because my security camera was not working I had no proof, and refused to cooperate in resolving the damage. I did eventually receive a refund for the original detailing charge, but it took significant back and forth just to get that much. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have EVER had. If you care about your vehicle, I strongly recommend staying far away from this company and taking your business elsewhere.
