Staff was extremely professional and friendly and performed a great job on my vehicle. They have samples of tint to compare if you are unsure how dark to go and they have multiple vehicles on site to showcase the work they do. All windows were tinted within an hour! I've also personally witnessed ppf being installed on a customers car where they take the time to thoroughly wash the vehicle and claybar prior to installation of the ppf. read more

I recently had my 2023 Tesla Model Y Performance completely wrapped and tinted by TintMax in Great Neck. They had my vehicle for 8 days to complete this task. I paid additional for the Expel Ultimate Fusion wrap which includes a ceramic coating. They also ceramic coated the wheels and my license pates. I dealt with Patrick who was professional and patient at all times. He walked me through all the different options and helped me make up my mind on the final package. When they started working on the vehicle, Patrick sent pictures to keep me updated. What was appreciated, he also found a few flaws that came from the factory which permitted me to schedule a trip to the service center ahead of time. The car came out amazing. They delivered it clean and even vacuumed the inside for me. Fernando was very helpful when I picked up the car and helped me install a custom license plate holder for the front of my vehicle. You can't even tell that the car is wrapped. After I picked up the car, Patrick called and checked in with me. He had left early due to being sick that day. Nevertheless, he took time to give me a few tips on how to care for the wrap. The only negative for me is the growing trend of small businesses who up charge for using a debit card or credit card. My up charge was almost 4 %. That adds up when you consider how much these services cost. read more

If there is a zero star i would give them. I took the car for ceramic coating picked it, up after 5 months I took it to another detailer and told me that the car has no ceramic coating on it. They did not apply any coating for my car claim that I did something wrong. My car only been hand washed and never been applied any strong chemical on it. They are very unprofessional when I called them back and told me you know nothing eventhough there is million information about ceramic coating and what they called promax. Please do not bring your expensive dear car to them becuase it might end up like mine. They refused to refund me what I paid and that tells alot about them and their service. Also they keep insisting i polished the car which i repeatedly told them my car was never polished since I bought it but they just want to put the blame on the customer and never them. read more

Manny said that even though the warranty is clearly stated on the website, it is not going to be considered in my case at all. He said that he had forgotten to update the warranty details on the website so he would not help me but they first said it was lifetime warranty. They don't back their warranty!! I had some services done to my vehicle but it was peeling and looking terrible. Now manny is saying I have to pay full price and as a favor is taking a few bucks off as a discount. Bad service. Super scamming. go anywhere else. Manny has the worse scammer customer service I have ever encountered. He kept changing the policy and the info while on the call. I already found a better place for cheaper with better material that actually has an honest warranty. read more

Not sure how much better of a job this place did than any other place I've ever tinted my car. Online ceramic tints were advertised for 150, I left a $25, deposit and was then charged $150. For a total of 175 + tax + 4%CC fee. I called up to ask question why I was charged extra and was told the Great Neck location charges $25 extra (15% more) for no reason. While this is down the block, I'll be taking my other car elsewhere- hate feeling taken advantage of. Would've appreciated a simple "Hey no problem, we didnt make you aware, no problem refund you $25". read more

It's hard to come across good customer service these days but Tintmax (Steve/Manny/Patrick) goes above and beyond. These guys are meticulous and will make sure things are right. I was blown away at their customer focus on making sure I was good on all aspects of the install. Side note, I got full tints in my model x (including windshield), the heat temp has gone down considerably. Can't imagine not tinting my future cars now and Tintmax is where to get it done! read more

Went to the great neck spot and Dealt with Patrick who was more then helpful and spent time explaining what tint was better for me. The car came out amazing and the price was fair, considering I went with ceramic and they did a phenomenal job. He saved me $ by telling me not to tint the back windows because they are already 15% and the car just looks great, very happy with it. Definitely going to send people their way. I brought my car to Tintmax because I heard this place is the best around. Based on their workmanship, photos, and anecdotal reviews, I assumed that it was top notch. My experience has been so-so. I've had a few services done at Tintmax on my Tesla Model 3: - Matte black center console wrap (interior) - Front and rear windshield and all windows tinted to 70% 3M Crystalline And I was also considering: - Chrome delete - Full PPF But I changed my mind after the OK job I received on the tint work. The tint on the four door windows were fine. But the ones to the front and back windshields killed me inside for a month until I got over it. First, Steve and the other technician didn't lay down any microfiber cloth or soak shields to prevent water damage to the computer unit that sits under the windshield. There are horror stories of other people's Model 3s that got ruined because of water damage from tinting. Even some Tesla stores tell their new buyers to not tint for this reason. Anyway, my Model 3 did not suffer any electrical damage, thank goodness, BUT the soapy water left horrible streaks under the brake light and VIN window. Steve said it's just "condensation" and would go away but it never did. I ended up sticking a small microfiber cloth down the brake light with a ruler to buff it out. Aside from this, the biggest killer for me is the fact that the tints are all smudged around the edges. See the attached photo. There's about 3-4 marks about 3-4" in diameter each, and they look hazy. Initially, I actually thought it was an oil smudge, so I tried to buff it out--that didn't work. Then I thought maybe it was condensation from the windshield AC--nope. So that's about when I realized that the haziness is from a botched job--someone's hand had touched the tint right before it was applied. I contacted Steve, the owner, about the issue and he acknowledged the mistake by scheduling me an appointment to come back TWO WEEKS later to get it fixed. I was so upset at the time and just wanted to get this issue fixed, so I called around other tint shops and got a second, third opinions. Ultimately, after two weeks and my appointment came up, I decided to just own it and roll with it. Re-doing the tints again just didn't seem worth it. Tintmax was also not very accommodating to fitting me in to get it fixed ASAP especially when this was a problem they created. Overall, come here, they're good people who care. Just be on the lookout for potential issues. read more

Tinted the windshield and 2 front windows with ceramic film for my new SUV. Cost was $325 and you can book an appointment online with a $25 deposit. The manager did a good job showing the different VLT shades and their legality. There is a chart in the shop showing 70%+ is legal in NYS for front windows but just be aware that will depend on your factory VLT. You need to multiply that by the film VLT to determine your true number. I got all legal tints so you don't really see a difference between that and factory, unless you are looking at it side by side. They did a great job doing the install, and it took only about an hour. So far the car seems cooler when parked during sunny days. If the ceramic film deteriorates as time passes or if you find an issue with the install, bring it back and they said they would remediate the problem. I will update this review if needed then. read more

This place tinted a Lexus for my partner and the film is peeling off within two months. I went yesterday morning and dropped off two Jeep door tops for a small $200 2hour job. The owner told me they would be ready at the end of the day. They were not. He asked me to come in this morning at 9 and would have the job done by 11 and said I coupd wait. Arrived at nine and he was not there. His employee got him on the phone and his excuse???? He claims he told me to call first. This business has competition right down the street. I will spend my money there. read more

You get what you pay for. I opted for the more expensive tints, the ceramic for my 2006 E350. Now I do have an older car, so the windows are not new, so I didn't know what to expect. The tints really came out fantastic, but even beyond that, customer service was excellent. As sometimes happens, especially on older cars, I had some bubbles on the rear window. They were able to touch it up, on the spot, and said if im not happy with it, they can redo it for me, considering I have a lifetime warranty with them. Super impressed with their patience and customer service, shout to Steve for being so patient with me and really going the extra mile to make sure that I feel satisfied with their service. Coming here again for any future cars I may have. read more

I see why this place has almost perfect reviews. First time tinting a car I've owned and the process was real smooth and easy. Reached out for a quote from this app, got a response and scheduled an appt right away. They helped me choose the % I was looking for (wanted it fairly dark but didn't want it to be drug dealer dark lol) - great price on their premium film - promised me it would be done in an hour and a half - and it was done in about an hour and a half! They seem like a real honest business who are confident in their quality but also put their customers first. This sounds like some fake review to boost up the ratings but I wish it was!! One of the best tint shops in New York, very professional, and they were brutally honest with me, even tho there were somethings that could've gone wrong because of dog hairs and stickers, they did their best, and did an amazing job!! Got my windows tinted here about a year ago. Everyone was extremely professional and helpful with helping me to figure out what level of tint would be best for my car. There was a few scratches in my tints when it was completed but I when I let them know they were more than willing to remove the tint and do the windows over for me! My tints are still holding up pretty well and i'm sure this place will be my go-to for tints for any of my future vehicles. TIP: bring cash instead of paying with card, I believe there was a fee for paying with card but I can't remember how much at this point. read more

If you need an amazing job for window tints, ceramic coating and PPF, then look no further. Manny & Steve & their team will take good care of you. I took my 2022 Hyundai Palisade for Xpel Plus window tints, Ceramic Pro Silver Package & PPF side mirrors. Manny explained the ceramic pro process & PPF in detail and made me feel very comfortable. I brought my car in for tints a week before and Steve took care of me really well and made sure that I leave with a warranty card. I personally saw Steve working on another customer's car and not only he was very detailed oriented but very careful like it was his own personal car. That gave me so much more confidence that I chose the right place. When I picked up my car and I was more than happy to see the work they did on the car. I got a quick quote for front two window tints. They replied quickly and I had scheduling issues due to my job but they had excellent customer service and were able to fit me in. Told me to come in for an estimate after I told him what I needed,When I got there this individual was very negative and said he couldn't do the job. It was too difficult and gave me a ridiculously high price so I wouldn't do the job .I wasted my time in coming here. I would not recommend this place .I ended up going to another place who agreed to do the same job with a good positive attitude and did not cry about how difficult it would be to do it for about 1/4 the price that this guy told me he would charge if he did it ,and I received high quality work . read more

Had my wife's retirement car, 2021 AMG GLA 35 , XPEL PPF, and ceramic tint. Can't believe AMG, does not tint their vehicles. This place was recommended by Paul Petrine. Glad we came here, Manny and Justin was wonderful, great price, although PPF is an added cost, but if your going to keep your car, worth the expense to keep it looking new. Had an issue with the hood, factory defect on the film. Rather, then trying to fix it, they recommended a new sheet on the hood. PPF looks amazing, looking to move to Nevada, 10 year warranty is good at any distributor. Thank you TintMax. read more

House for a ceramic coating and honestly regret it…read more I live around the corner and constantly see high-end cars in and out of their shop, which gave me confidence in their work--but this particular job was clearly rushed and poorly executed. The work was sloppy. Areas like the rear diffuser and behind the license plate weren't even properly washed, which is unacceptable for a service that's supposed to include clay bar and paint correction. Corners were obviously cut. Basic detailing was ignored--the trunk wasn't opened or cleaned, and the inside of the rear window was left dirty. This is detailing 101. The workmanship feels careless and lacks pride. As someone who knows cars, I can confidently say this was a poor job. If you work hard for your money, don't spend it here.

What the states publish are guidelines, since there is also the laws intent to work off of. This means that if it says you can't tint front windows, courts in certain states will allow it if it's a light tint, that one can see through.

One of which was brand new off the dealer lot. Head-unit screens turning on and off, sound cutting in and out, incessant hissing, broken and damaged interior pieces, bent door clips, uninsulated wires left touching bare metal. You name an issue they caused it. This shop to put it politely has an elementary school level understanding of physics, the concept of Ohm's law is lost on the two individuals who work here. I will not claim to be an expert on these topics but the people who are working on the complicated the electrical systems of modern vehicles should be and I'm telling you these guys aren't it. For example, everybody from DIYer to professional mechanic knows you should remove the NEGATIVE battery terminal first before performing electrical work to avoid damage to the sensitive computer controlled electronics in a vehicle. These lovely gentlemen A. Don't do that and B. If they do disconnect your battery out of necessity to install an amplifier, they remove the positive terminal only, risking short circuiting your entire vehicle. The amount of uninsulated connections was appalling, wires with no insulation left dangling just asking to touch bare metal and potentially damage the vehicle. On an amusing note, their use of car audio jargon is just a poor attempt to confuse and mislead you in to buying more upgrades or services from them. Don't fall for it, they don't know what half the words that come out of their mouth mean. The owner referred to the amplifier turning on and off causing the sound to cut as clipping when that's simply not what clipping is. There are countless examples of this nonsense that I've observed over the past three months, please don't fall for it like I did, save your money go else where, or hey use it an excuse to learn a new skill. An amateur can do a better job than these guys. They'll upsell you or deny every issue they cause: Hissing? At first "oh that's normal" and then "oh you need a new head unit" Steering controls not working? a new module Amplifier turning off randomly? You need a new amp and wiring Broken plastic? "It happens your just obsessive" The funniest proposed solution has to have been using an official apple charging cable as if that was going to solve the kindergartener level internal wiring job done to my poor cars. I'm sure the owner will reply to this with the a high school flunky level to attempt to discredit my character and claims but I welcome it, I've included pictures of some not all of the disastrous things they did to my car. You can judge for yourself who's right. I'm normally understanding when it comes to professional work not turning out the way it should as I realize it can be complicated but this is over the line. I'm waiting patiently for the "well you had these issues with one car before us", a boldfaced lie, my head unit rebooted once or twice in the year I've owned it before bring it to this place and the other car was brand new with less than 500 miles on it. In our final interaction, he told me I was obsessing over small details and kicked me out of the shop saying "your done" like I was a child he was reprimanding. I don't think wanting your sound system to work 100% of the time and not wanting your interior damaged with super glue, adhesive, wire strands and broken plastic is obsessive and I think most people would agree. Learn from my mistakes, and spend your money elsewhere.
