I explained my situation about my parents that they lived in a foreign country so I just need a general information to help them plan and what IDs do they need to bring. The employee kept cutting me off said that she can't tell me any information which is understandable and I'm aware about the privacy rights. She told me my dad need to come to the "local" office that he lives and said my zipcode is different. Instead of helping and advising they just told me that my parents need to brings their IDs that it. I'm not asking her to go to my parents profile or social to gave me the information. All I'm asking is show me like a flyer or where to find information, answering general questions for example how many ID do they need to bring, what type of IDs will be acceptance and what ID will not be acceptance. I tried to repeat 2-3 times my questions but she did not let me finish it. My parents are elderly, and they will travel very far to get their benifits done so I hope the employees be nicer to people to save time for others.

So cute, they offer a mini library card you can hang on your keychain. It's big, with two floors, and includes clean restrooms, meeting rooms for community events, a plant seed library, study rooms, a children's section, printers and computers, and a makerspace for 3D printing (must sign a waiver beforehand). Sometimes a book sale. It's not that fancy, with no cafe inside like other libraries have in the rich area. Most of the books are outdated from the 2010s; only a few novels are updated to the past few years. I wish they offered more up-to-date design books on topics like User Experience Design and AI, which I read as a refresher in multimedia design. You can borrow up to six books for over two weeks, and they automatically renew the next return date. I prefer to read three per month to be considerate. Scanning several books at the kiosk is easier and faster than a checkout line. They do have great access to free online resources such as audiobooks, music streaming, Hoopla Digital (Netflix dupe), and full access to magazines and newspapers without subscriptions. You can also use your library card to get free passes to certain museums and galleries across the Bay Area on Discover & Go. Sometimes they might have National Park passes to Yosemite, which you have to check with the library first around May. Plus, they offer free seminars like resume writing from Ohlone College, filing taxes, and family activities for kids. There's even a glasses donation box courtesy of the Lions Club International. Lots of parking in front with easy access to Lake Elizabeth, pickleball courts, and the Fremont Police Department. I also love that they provide a library locker near Irvington Community Park and Warm Spring Community Center, where you can pick up books that you reserved online with your library account, which is so convenient to walk to from home. You can drop your books in the return box next to the lockers. I don't have to drive to the main library to avoid silly children and encounter homeless people lying near the return box.

I've noticed it's become less diverse and a lot different. Still a cool place to visit, not the hub of entertainment, but safe and quiet for the most part. It has a beautiful landscape as most cities in the bay that run along the foothills and bodies of water at the same time.

The employee who was distributing ticket numbers at the front desk was unfortunately very rude and dismissive toward us and several other visitors. When we approached the appointment line, she did not acknowledge us. When security informed her that we were present for our scheduled appointment on time, she told the security officer to "zip it" and continued to ignore us. When she refused to issue our appointment ticket, I politely asked what the process would be to schedule another appointment. At that point, she told us that we were "annoying" and asked us to get out of her face. The security officer, who had witnessed the interaction, kindly allowed us to enter the shorter indoor line because she felt we had been treated unfairly. When we eventually reached the same employee again to obtain our ticket, she spent several minutes berading us insisting that we did not have the required documents and repeatedly told us to go home and return another day. I explained that I had spoken with a DMV representative on the phone beforehand and was told that all documentation was already on file and that we only needed to bring our ID. Despite this explanation, she continued to dismiss us and used disrespectful language toward us. After several minutes of dismissing us and telling us that we were wasting our time and hers, she finally issued our ticket. When we were called to the service counter, the DMV representative simply checked our ID and informed us that our driver's license would arrive in a few weeks. The process itself was straightforward once we reached the counter. I would like to note that the security officer and the DMV representative who assisted us were both polite, helpful, and professional, and we truly appreciated their assistance. Unfortunately, the initial interaction at the front desk delayed our visit significantly and created a very negative experience. I respectfully ask that management review this situation. The individual responsible for greeting customers and distributing tickets is often the first point of contact for visitors, and it is important that this role be handled by someone who treats the public with professionalism, respect, and courtesy. We understand that the DMV can be a busy and stressful environment, but visitors also take time out of their day to attend their appointments. We hope that in the future this position can be staffed by someone who is knowledgeable and courteous to the public.

It was well worth attending this event despite the bright sun. They even held tours for the various buildings. Almost forgot but they had lion dancers there to ward off evil spirits & bring good luck to each of these 3 buildings. Similar to what they do for Chinese New Years! This was a fabulous community event enjoyed by many of the local people! Come see the brand new civic center if you're a local to Newark.

The park is small and somewhat clean with not much to it except for a couple benches, a drinking fountain, and homeless people sleeping around it. It's not a one star because besides the homeless people and uninviting house the area is not bad and I like the quietness mixed with the sound of cars driving by. If it was cleaned up I'm sure more people would come by.
