I experienced billing issues, poor customer service from Kayla, and after losing my job and falling behind on payments, I was sent a letter dismissing me as a patient with only 30 days to find a new dentist. As a long-term patient, I expected compassion and a conversation--not to be discarded. The way I was treated felt cold, dismissive, and completely inconsistent with the care we received at the Fremont office. My back tooth chipped in half with a bad cavity (I think it was decaying for a while as well) and had to get it looked at. I got an appointment for a general cleaning pretty fast and a follow-up even faster. I was really nervous going into these but Doctor Chan and his staff were really nice. With a of built up plaque, 4 cavities, and a back tooth chipped, I had to get a deep cleaning, 4 teeth fillings, and my tooth extracted. Dr. Chan constantly asked if I was ok and comfortable during the process. The tooth extraction was fast and didn't hurt thanks to him numbing my mouth. He also answered all the questions I asked thoroughly, which I really loved to hear about since I'm genuinely curious. He was very knowledgeable and I think it says on the office door that he speaks other languages too. They send communication over text. As someone who hates talking on the phone, I appreciate it. I had questions about insurance and Michael (the one working the front desk) was helpful in finding that information for me as well. Location has a lot of easy parking. Office was small but clean. They also let me keep my gross extracted tooth when I asked bc I wanted to see what it looked like (He also told me how can clean it if I wanted to preserve it lol) I have another appointment for cavity fillings next month, but I'm a lot less nervous now. I have very bad dental anxiety and saw that they did sedation dentistry, so I called the office. I spoke to Debbie, and she was awesome. Super helpful and efficient. Got me in for an exam within days. Dr. Kohli listened to my concerns, and we decided to tackle my two problem teeth and do a cleaning to get me cleared for my knee surgery. I needed an extraction and a crown - not simple stuff! Debbie mapped out a series of appointments, and we were able to get everything done within a month's time. Their sedation is an oral tablet, not IV, but after having it, I was very happy as it made these two large procedures a breeze. We finished up with a cleaning, and Rose was awesome as well. She took the time to read my file and talk to me about the process, which eased my nerves. She was efficient and kind. They also use text to communicate, which I love and is very convenient.
