Dr. Munira is a very caring dentist. I became a new patient at StarBrite on December 5, 2025, following a recommendation from a family friend. Dr. Munira's initial diagnosis was spot on, and she recommended several fillings. The office staff was excellent, providing great call-back and administrative support (5/5). The fillings were performed by Dr. Tariq, and while the procedure itself went well, my bite felt slightly "high" afterward, making it difficult to chew. The office was very responsive and immediately scheduled a bite adjustment for the next day. However, it took two additional adjustments with another dentist before the issue was still partially there. I eventually notified Dr. Munira that the problem persisted after two attempts. She personally handled the final adjustment, which completely fixed the issue. She also took the time to provide a detailed explanation of why it required multiple visits to get it right. I am giving 4/5 stars only because I believe the bite should ideally be adjusted correctly during the initial appointment, but I truly appreciate the team's dedication to resolving the issue. read more

My overall is experience was good. The office is clean and easy to locate. The receptionist provided with my eforms before the kind dental assistant took me to an exam room. I didn't get her name but she was nice. I was placed me in an exam room near the reception desk, this made me extremely uncomfortable because the receptionist has full view of everything which felt a bit invasive. Doctor Shay was kind and patient with me. I don't do well with needles but he was understanding and accommodating. I have been coming to this place for years but my experience today compelled me to write a review. All of the staff is great and friendly. I would like to specifically point out Janice. She has been there for a long time and is really great and getting to know you and greet you by name. Today I had a cleaning by Sabrina. She was fantastic! I do have some receding gums in certain spots thanks to my old piercings. Other hygienist have been soft and careful around those spots but I could still feel some pain but it was bearable. Today Sabrina used a trick and I could not feel much at all any sensitivity or pain those areas. I hope to get her for all future cleanings! read more

Called in requesting for an emergency appointment for wisdom tooth pain consultation. I informed them over the phone that I was in very bad pain. They let me know one particular slot which was not possible for me to make and then I was told there was no slot available for the entire of remaining December 2021 and January 2022. They won't stand by their work. They did 3 buccal fillings (fillings on the side of a tooth at the gum line) for me. One fell out less than two months later. I called the office to book an appointment, but prior to booking, I wanted to confirm that they did indeed do the filling. I told the person on the phone exactly which tooth it was and she confirmed that they did it along with two other buccals, so I booked the appointment. When I arrived, the receptionist told me there would be a $98 fee for a dentist's consult. I refused to pay because there was no need for a consult. The buccal fillings had simply fallen out and needed to be replaced. She said she would check with the manager. Five minutes later, I was escorted in. A dentist came in and examined a few of my teeth and said that the filling in question was not one that they had done. It was a flat out lie. I said the filling was confirmed when I called to make the appointment, to which he replied that she made a mistake. Such BS. This buccal had originally fallen out at least a year ago before they put it in. I had not seen another dentist in over a year, so they had to have done it. They just won't warrant their work without charging some made up fee. Suffice it to say, I will never be back. Buyer be ware. read more

I got a quote in several places and Starbrite Dental was in most cases at least $1000 less expensive than other places. And, it is one stop shopping. I wanted to like Starbrite due to the positive reviews and proximity to work and home. Sadly, I did not have the same positive experience other reviewers had. First of all, the receptionist was wearing a hoodie. Not very professional. Second, she lost my appointment although the answering service person scheduled in error. She wasn't outright rude but just seemed kind of indifferent and disorganized. At first, I was willing to overlook these issues mentioned above. However, the deal breaker was being upsold by the dentist. I came in for tooth pain on several of my back teeth. Minutes into my examination, she tells me I need to have my gums numbed for a cleaning. I have excellent dental hygiene, am 27 years old and have NEVER had gum problems in my life! Taking advantage of elderly women immigrants with abusive service and policies. StarBright made my elderly relative pay in advance for 7 teeth to be removed. Why remove all 7 in one day? They made her wait for over 4 hours after her appointment time. She had personal restroom issues. She could only handle 3 teeth being removed after such a long wait. We asked for a refund for the teeth not touched by StarBright. StarBright will only provide a refund if she signs a full release. StarBright should be responsible for the work they did and were paid for. StarBright should refund money for services they did not provide. StarBright has taken advantage of an elderly, immigrant woman and should be ashamed of themselves. StarBright should have never scheduled 7 tooth extractions for one day for someone frail and over 90 years old. StarBright should not make the elderly wait for over 4 hours past her appointment time to begin working. The StarBright policy to pay upfront could be understood but they should immediately refund money paid for work not performed. StarBright should not intimidate elderly immigrants with totally unreasonable full release forms only to get refunds due to their customers. The doctor Munira Lokhandwala literately talks down to the patients. She has a very high handed attitude and talks in a sarcastic manner if you ask her any questions. She is also judgmental on how your teeth looks and shames you in the process. I wouldn't recommend going here for a procedure that is complicated and involves a few sittings as we need to have our questions answered properly in that case. She is skilled in what she does but the unfortunate thing is she has a very nasty attitude to boot. I could have sued them for it, and I did report it to my insurance as well. Also, front desk people are super rude and unfriendly. They take down your info for wait list, then, you get an automatic appt set up without telling you when and what time, knowing if you're available for that day or not. My experience here was terrible. I had a new crown done here (which was very painful). After the permanent crown was placed, they told me i need a root canal and referred me to an endodontist. The endodontist performed the root canal and told me that the crown was not required in the first place (a filling would have sufficed). I am still having discomfort with this crown and TMJ issues. This review is specifically towards the scheduling attitude of the office. Both my husband and I have been patients here. Before each appointment, we get at least 4-5 texts of varying frequency asking to confirm the appointment. Even after confirming each time, you'll get yet another one again before the appointment. And then the day before, EVERY SINGLE TIME, someone from the office will call asking if they can reschedule us to another time. If not, they offer to cancel. It will all be less than 24 hrs before the appointment. If we did the same, we would be charged for less than 24 hr notice, but somehow our time is NEVER valued. The last time, I was left waiting for 30+ minutes for the doctor to show up and then rushed because they had to go elsewhere. The purpose of an appointment to allot time, sufficient and appropriate time to a patient. This office fails spectacularly in doing so. Zero respect for a patient's time. The treatment quality doesn't make up for the gross disrespect and hypocrisy regarding time management. read more

After getting a crown replaced here. The had a new person measure my crown with software she was not trained on. My crown ended up not fitting my mouth, they did not catch this after cementing my crown. So they tried grinding down and reshaping it until, they realized they did too much grinding. They bonded on top of my crown material which has became a big mess. I cannot eat on this side, I have never had this bad of an experience at a dentist. I would not recommend taking you dog here. Buyer beware,. I now have to pay out of pocket to replace my crown since this dentist has been negligent in her duties.My insurance will not cover my procedure because I have wasted my 1 crown per year with her. read more

On my first visit they did a full mouth of x rays. I was told they would call me when the work was authorized by my insurance. That was 3 weeks ago. I called last Friday, was told someone would call me back. Of course no phone call. I told the dentist I have a area that is swollen and painful. They didn't care. I usually don't write reviews but wanted to make sure my recent experience with my root canal treatment is helpful to someone out there. I had a terrible experience with Dr.Munira. It was unpleasant and unethical right from the beginning. The first thing that distressed me was the way she reacted with the assistant. With her being the surgeon performing the root canal procedure, it is her responsibility to make sure the room is prepared with all the right equipments and tools. I felt so unprofessional about how she handled the situation. Right from the beginning I felt rushed and didn't feel I received right care. To make things worse, she even hurt my lip with the scissor while trying to put the rubber dam before the procedure. I started feeling the pain through the procedure and eventually it narrowed down to that she cannot complete the procedure and referred me to an endodontist where I had to go over the same procedure end to end once again. I was so surprised that with so many x-rays and evaluations, why she couldn't have referred me to the endodontist right away instead of me going over the painful procedure and unprofessional treatment. Honestly, I picked the date when Dr.Munira was avialble based on the reviews in her website - Her current patients love her feather-light touch during the performance of dental procedures. But honestly, she was the most impatient dentist I have ever had! This is becoming very bad lately. I was going to this place from past 4 years and from past two years they are doing just for money. 1) They polished my teeth first before cleaning and that to only front two teeth for 10 times and gums were sour because of this 2) They recommend un required things and say as if we asked for it. 3) They wanted to take xray for every 6 months visit and which does not make sense 4) They wanted to do filling for all teeth and they will say the filling is needed for only couple of teeth first and then say you are scheduled filling for some other teeth. Based on your reviews I'm assuming that the dentists themselves do a good job overall. But on Saturday morning Oct 7, 2017 I called to inquire about a laser service that was listed on your website. The receptionist on the phone didn't know what I was referring to. Said she had to go ask a doctor. Put me on hold, came back in a couple of minutes and needed more clarification. I told her again and she put me on hold again to go check, came back in about 3 or 4 minutes and still didn't have a clear answer. I told her again and she said, "We don't do that" and hung up. From the moment she picked up the phone she was unprofessional, had terrible phone etiquette, and had no idea about the services you list on your website. You do not want someone like this on your phones, because of her I will not give your place of business another opportunity.
