They have an exceptional bedside manner, especially when working with veterans, many of whom have service-connected disabilities and unique needs. We come here for my 15 yr old daughter. We have a genetic condition and have no enamel on our teeth, so having a good dentist is a must. She is deathly afraid of the dentists, thanks to some pretty awful dentists in the past. However, Dr. M is not your average dentist and is simply amazing. Dr. M is so patient and calm and reassuring. My daughter puts her fav movie on her phone, sets her headphones on her ears and just relaxes. Dr. M does beautiful and amazing work and has made such a huge impact on my daughters self confidence. This was my first visit to the dentist after a long time. Receptionist was very friendly, and the doctor was patient and kind. She took the time to explain to me my treatment plan and walked me through what she believe I should do. I know other places the doctors leave that to the dentist assistants to explain but here, Doctor Moghaddam actually took the time to speak to me about it before reviewing my plan with the dentist assistant. I had the first set of my treatment plan today and I was very nervous. Doctor Moghaddam checked on me throughout the entire procedure to make sure I was okay and that I didn't feel any pain. She took her time and was gentle handling my teethes throughout the procedure. My treatment plan was reasonable and I agree with the previous yelper that Doctor Moghaddam was accurate with her analysis and didn't make you do more that what she think is needed. I love the atmosphere and staff at this dentist. I am very happy to have chosen doctor Moghaddam as my dentist. I also want to add that the vibe here at the dentist definitely feels more intimate. Finally getting around to writing up on this place after my visit a couple months ago. I just moved here from Long Beach and I loved my dentist down there. Dentists and hair salons are my least favorite thing to find a new place for when you move, but I was on a bit of pressure to find a place fairly quick since my last day in Long Beach was spent at the dentist where they told me I had a small cavity forming that he recommended I take care of within a few weeks. So after moving up here and putting it off those few weeks, I finally felt enough pressure to check out General Plus. Glad I did! I told them about how my previous dentist saw a tiny cavity... somewhere... on the right... I think. Hah! Anyways, she did some searching and found it. But any dentist can find a cavity they know is there, why Dr. Moghaddam gets five stars was because she they took some quick xrays and she "thought she saw something". She tried to show me something in one of the xrays that she suspected was a cavity underneath an old filling. Yeah it all looks like cloudy nonsense to me on the picture so I say she can go ahead and open it up to see if she can find anything. Once she does, she pulls out a little mirror and shows me - holy crap it was huge! How did I not feel a cavity that big that was forming under an old filling?! Well, I'm glad she found it when she did. So Dr. Sherlock Holmes cleaned it out and filled it up with a fresh new filling along with the little one I actually came in for. So yeah, I'll be back for my future checkups. If she could spot that cavity that my previous amazing dentist didn't see in their xrays, she can find salt that spilled on the snow. Glad I don't have to find a new dentist anymore. read more

I was referred to this office by a friend and when I finally called up to have them look at a broken crown, they were able to fit me in on the same day. Everyone, from the front desk receptionist, the Office Manager, Cindy, the dental assistant, dental hygienist and especially Dr. Moghaddam were all so warm and welcoming and just made the entire process easy and painless!! They were able to fix my broken crown, re-do an old filling that had gone bad and clean and polish my teeth - all on one day! I've been in Newark over 35 years & since my childhood Dentist on Thornton Ave. retired, I went through A LOT of Dentist that "pretended to care" but were actually there to just make money. Especially the Dentist that took over my childhood dentist's office!! (But that's another Yelp!) Dr. M (as I call her) is not only caring, she will explain everything to you and honestly answer any questions you have. I went to her for a couple years & then my insurance changed so I had to go elsewhere. That was not a good thing for me because the dental work that I got somewhere else was done wrong &/or incomplete and now I need "fix it" dental work! Dr. M does not take my insurance now, but I am staying with her for peace of mind because I TRUST HER. She also has very reasonable rates.
