I have been a patient of Dr. Dobee's for over 15 years, and over that time I have developed not only trust in her as my dentist, but a genuine appreciation for who she is as a person. From the very beginning, we instantly connected through heartfelt conversations, and one thing I love most is that after all these years she has remained exactly the same -- kind, compassionate, genuine, and someone who truly cares about her patients as people. Dr. Dobee has always been known for thinking outside the box, using the best materials and treatment options, and putting her patients first. So when my boyfriend unexpectedly fractured his front tooth around 10 PM on April 24th, I immediately knew who to call. Even knowing we would likely be cash paying rather than using insurance, I had complete confidence that she would help us navigate the situation and find the best possible solution. I texted Dr. Dobee and sent photos despite it being late on a Friday night, and she responded right away. Shortly after, Dinesh, the office manager, contacted us and scheduled my boyfriend to be seen first thing Saturday morning. From the moment we walked in, every person treated us like family. We were seen by Dr. Hawari, who I have also been a patient of and have always known for his incredible restorative dental abilities and attention to detail. He immediately came across as compassionate and reassuring and focused on helping us move forward rather than sitting in guilt and stress over the situation. He took X-rays, examined the tooth carefully, consulted with us, and explained our options every step of the way. He initially performed a composite build-up on the front tooth and honestly it looked incredible -- you would never have known there had been an accident. What stood out most was his honesty and attention to detail. Rather than simply continuing treatment, he noticed there could potentially be a root fracture and immediately shifted directions because he wanted to make sure the treatment plan was right. He coordinated care with Dr. Frankie, who specializes in same-day implants. When we met Dr. Frankie, one of the first things that stood out was how down-to-earth, understanding, and empathetic he was. He immediately made my boyfriend feel comfortable during what was already a stressful situation. One thing he said really stayed with me: he would never do anything to my boyfriend that he wouldn't do for his own mother or family. I found that incredibly commendable because it showed genuine care and integrity. It truly felt like everyone involved was thinking outside the box and trying to determine what was best for my boyfriend and, most importantly, trying to save his natural tooth if possible. After further evaluation, Dr. Frankie consulted with Dr. AC. What happened next honestly amazed us. Dr. AC had already completed a full day but still stayed late unexpectedly, reviewed the imaging, discussed options with the team, and continued his evening until almost 10 PM helping my boyfriend. He and his assistant prepared the room, performed a successful root canal, and everyone worked together to create the best possible treatment plan. We later went to Micro Dental Lab in Livermore for color matching, and even there we experienced the same kindness. As soon as we mentioned Dr. Dobee's name they immediately knew who she was. We were treated with such warmth and even given a tour of the facility near the end of their shift, which was incredibly thoughtful. What stood out most throughout this entire experience is that everyone associated with Dr. Dobee feels like a real person first and not just a doctor. My boyfriend's insurance is not great and we were paying cash, but not once did we feel treated differently. This could have been a devastating experience considering it involved a front tooth and such an important cosmetic area, but they made the process smooth, reassuring, and manageable. I had a dental implant done at another office, but less than four years later the abutment and crown fell out. When I returned to the original dentist, I was told the implant was fractured and that I would need surgery to remove it and redo the entire implant. I was referred to a so-called specialist, but that doctor simply repeated the same conclusion--without even taking an X-ray in his office. I decided to seek a second opinion, and I am incredibly fortunate to have found Dr. Dobee. From the very beginning, her approach made a world of difference. She took a new X-ray in her office and found no sign of a fracture. She then requested the original X-ray used for the initial diagnosis as well as the implant model for further verification. Dr. Dobee went above and beyond in her evaluation. When she opened the gum, there was no bleeding inside the implant, which strongly indicated there was no fracture. She then examined the implant using her high-end 20× electron microscope and found no evidence of damage. In addition, the screw was able to seat with the expected torque, further supporting her conclusion. She also used an implant stability measurement system to rule out the presence of a fracture. All of these objective findings led her to determine that the implant was intact. Based on solid evidence--not assumptions--Dr. Dobee developed a conservative treatment plan: she ordered a new screw, modified it as needed, and reused the existing crown. Today, she completed the treatment, and everything fits perfectly. Dr. Dobee truly saved my implant. Throughout the entire process, I was deeply impressed by her professionalism and, more importantly, her compassion. She genuinely thinks from the patient's perspective, and every decision she makes is backed by facts--X-rays, high-resolution microscopy, measurements, and expert consultation. Even as a highly experienced specialist, she still sought a second opinion to confirm her judgment. That level of care and integrity is rare. In general, I would say Dr. Dobee's office always got the most cool stuffs. Which includes not only the must have, also things you might never expect the dental office would have. (Such as massage chair, 3D scanning machine for night guard and "Ninja tooth battles- by Dr. Dobee) Also, I wasn't have had something to isolate the area between the decay tooth and tongue/other teeth) while filling treatment in other dental office before, not sure what that called, but it make you feel the consideration for the doctor and the patient. Oh by the way, Dr. "Hawaii" is really awesome! Personally I truly recommend him, not just expert on what he learned, also you feel he does care the patient, which what make a huge difference between good and excellent. They also have Hygienist Jenny, I did cleaning at least once a year, have never met a Hygienist could help you prevent cancer or potential oral disease by feeling your facial muscles. And the toothbrush she gave as gift is the kind of toothbrush you will truly use and love it due to the design of it. Both of the way Dr, Hawaii and Hygienist Jenny talk, it make people comfortable and relaxing. In general, I would say it's a pretty cool dental office. read more

Things have changed for the worse and I wish I could say the same glowing things about this place. But, I can't anymore. I have been a client for quite some time now and this is a review of the system and process of this dental office. Don't get me wrong--Dr. Dobee and the dentists are great and friendly, but there were a few incidents that just made me realize how much the customer service, communication and transparency of this place has degraded over the past few years and months. My biggest gripe about this place is that they don't do enough of a good job notifying you of things that come up. And you end up either wasting your time showing up to your appointment and find out after-the-fact the office closed early or that they are short staffed and your 1 hour cleaning becomes a 3 hour ordeal and wait. It's like your doctor tells you "see you at 3p" and they never show up. Who does that? I understand things come up and some staff need to leave early for extenuating circumstances, but I had to wait 2-3 hours once to get seen when my appointment Could have been rescheduled or given the option to reschedule without a cancellation fee. Also, the personnel that helps you reschedule is located in another country, so they won't really have a sense of what is happening in the office. They try to get as many slots filled in back-to-back and if there's one delay in an appointment, this cascades to other appointments being super delayed. Thing of your flights getting delayed or canceled except they DON'T TELL YOU. One time, I canceled my travel plans to visit an ailing parent just to get my cavity filled since there was an opening and took the soonest appointment. I showed up at the office and filled out all the forms before coming and was sent a text that my appointment is confirmed. And I show up, and Behold, NO ONE WAS THERE and the office was closed. Imagine being left in the dark. I drove 2 hours that day just to get to the dentist and finally get some reprieve from my cavity pain and not even one phone call or text or email telling me my appointment was cancelled. The least they could have done was tell me they will cancel and rescheduled it to the soonest time and date. Who does that? (The only feasible explanation I could think of: "there's a lot of clients here and this is the hotshot dental off around of the block and I am just cattle so don't really matter...") I asked for a quote for a filling and was promised a quote prior to the appointment. Not only did I not get a quote, I was not given any notification that the appointment was NOT happening. It's one thing if an office doesn't care and that's fine. But, it stings a bit more if they promise and don't deliver and they put on an pretentious air that "they care". I have also been overcharged a few times and wasn't even notified of this. I understand things happen, but a lack of transparency feels very hurtful to customers that give our full trust and to some degree, our lives to dentists. It's already quite intimidating to go to dentists (for some that suffer from dentophobia) and the extra burden and mistrust caused exacerbates things. The nice intention is probably there, but actions speak a lot louder, all the time. And in this case, it's so loud that it stings so much for people that are in the minority. I really hope things will get better for the clients that are still coming. How would you feel if this happened to you? If you're okay with this, then you should be good going here. read more

I recently moved back to the Bay Area after over a decade away and was in the market for a new dentist, so I looked up a bunch of reviews and talked to friends/family and found myself here! Generally speaking, I hate going to the dentist--I don't like the sound of dentist tools, shots of novocain...none of it. (I like to think this is totally normal...). That being said, everyone at this office is very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Dobee was super easy to talk to (as is everyone in this office) and was very understanding of my terrible schedule. She worked with my schedule so I'd be able to come back for follow-up and get everything I needed done in as few visits as possible. She and everyone else (I am terrible with names...) = super efficient, which I really appreciate as well. For the greater good of my teeth, I'm kinda hoping I don't have to make a billion trips here because that'd mean there's a lot going wrong, but I'm super glad I found this place! read more

They all do very good job in making me feel comfortable and Jen with my past couple of visit was amazing since I had to a deep cleaning. She made it very clear what was going to go on through the whole process and was very interactive with me and she is a great person to talk to and it made it a very pleasant visit. I am sure I'm part of the group of people that definitely does not like going to dentist appointments, they made it really easy and were very helpful. I used to come to Dr. Doebee's office years ago and decided to come back and give them another shot. I'm glad I did! Every dentist has been nothing short of amazing- Dr. Doebee, Dr. Mona, and Dr. Hawari (I may be misspelling, sorry!). Jeni was our dental hygienist and she is seriously the best ever! Extremely attentive and detail oriented! She told me exactly what she was doing every step of the way which was really nice. She asked if I had any sensitive areas which I do and was sure to make the cleaning as comfortable as possible. Even when she called Dr. Mona in she gave her a heads up that I was sensitive in certain areas. The cleaning was super thorough and NOT painful at all! Overall I felt like a VIP patient and not surprised that there are so many good reviews because this office truly lives up to the name of being a caring dentist office. Been going to Dr. Dobee and Dr. Hawari for over 5 years now. I've always hated going to the dentist (as do most people I'm sure), but they have helped me overcome my fear. They have a lot of patience with their patients and work to accommodate your needs. I have a terrible gag reflex and can barely open my mouth but they have tools and have helped me learn to minimize that. Their prices might be a little higher than some other dentists but that's probably because have a very modern clean office with the latest tools and technology. Would definitely recommend! read more
