Codi has been my doula for both of my babies. My first birth I actually ended up going into…read morec-section but Codi helped me advocate for myself the whole time. They told me my fluid was low and I needed to be induced. She told me to ask for a bag of fluids first. Every step where they wanted to give me another intervention, she helped me advocate for time or for an alternative. And although I ended up needing a c-section, it wasn't traumatic and I felt empowered the whole time because Codi was there helping me advocate for myself. With my second labor, I VBAC'd! And Codi prayed for me and prepped me and spoke life over me the whole pregnancy. She called it my redemptive birth before we knew what would happen and it was. Having a doula who not only leads with compassion but also has the Holy Spirit in her is the biggest gift. I can't recommend her highly enough. She feels like a part of our family now. We're so grateful to her and for her.

I interviewed a few and felt an immediate sense of calm upon talking to Codi. She's kind, calm, confident, and client centered. I had the presumption that getting a doula meant they would try to persuade you to have an unmedicated home birth, but that was far from true with Codi. She truly listened to my wants and needs and didn't try to sway me one way or another. She provided evidence based information and educated both my husband and I prior to me going into labor. I ended up needing an induction due to preeclampsia and I was scared. Codi helped ease both me and my husbands anxieties and helped me feel powerful throughout the 26 hour labor. One of the nurses during this time was awful and demeaning. Codi spoke to the charge nurse and asked for a switch for me. I did not need that energy in the room during labor! She provided comfort measures and created a plan that we felt comfortable with afterwards in terms of vaccines for the baby/after care. She took pictures of us 3 that I will forever treasure. Codi made me laugh through one of the hardest experiences of my life. At one point my blood pressure shot through the roof and Codi knew to switch up my positioning instead of just having doctors rush me to a c section. My baby girl was born healthy & perfect after 26 hours of hard work. Postpartum Codi came over to provide postpartum doula support. She helped make me yummy nursing snacks, cared for my daughter so I could shower and sleep, and provided so much TLC. Forever grateful for you Codi! The world needs more healers like you :) Keep spreading your gift and knowledge.

Going through pregnancy and labor for the very first time was incredibly scary, but having Valerie by my side made all the difference. She was a truly essential support system for me--from the early stages straight through every single contraction. When the pain felt overwhelming, she stayed grounded with me, helped me find my inner strength, and refused to let me feel alone. Beyond her incredible physical and emotional support during labor, Valerie showed an extraordinary level of professionalism and dedication. She calmly handled challenging and unusual circumstances--including mediating sensitive marital communications with my husband--with complete grace, tact, and composure. She never shyed away from difficult moments or complex dynamics; instead, she stepped up as a reassuring, balanced mediator when I needed it most. Valerie was truly always there when I needed her. Her strength, unwavering presence, and deep compassion made a profound impact on my birth experience, and I am so deeply grateful to have had her support. If you are looking for a doula who is compassionate, fearless, and reliable through every step of the process, I cannot recommend Valerie highly enough!

Once we went to the hospital, her guidance, encouragement, and gentle push helped me keep going, especially when we worked together to help get my daughter into the right position. Although my labor ultimately did not go the way I had hoped or expected, Lindzee was there every step of the way with love, support, reassurance, and comfort. She helped me feel heard and cared for during some of the hardest moments of my birth experience. One of my favorite memories that I still think about is when I needed a distraction during my long labor, and Lindzee and I ended up playing Tapple while my mom watched us. It was such a simple moment, but it perfectly captures the kind of support she gave me, helping me through the difficult moments while also making me laugh and feel like myself. We bonded throughout my long labor, and I feel incredibly lucky that I gained not only an amazing doula but also a friend through this experience. I will always be grateful for Lindzee and the role she played in bringing my daughter into the world. I truly cannot recommend her enough.

I found Labor of Love by doing some of my own research online. And thank God I did! My doula,…read moreKaren, was my rock throughout my labor and was 100,000 percent amazing--I'll definitely be working with her for my second! A little backstory: I was overwhelmed and so nervous about finding "the one" person to be a part of the most important event of my life. After doing my research and reading through all these bios, I honestly was left feeling overwhelmed, especially knowing how indecisive I can be. I knew I just had to trust my intuition and my gut on this one! After looking at Karen's bio on their website, I had such a good feeling. Staci (the owner), who was super friendly and professional, helped me get connected with Karen, and I booked an interview right away! Karen was so sweet and asked me about my pregnancy experience so far. We discussed how I wanted my birth to go and any concerns I had. There wasn't any pressure to hire her, and it just felt like she was already invested in me, like I was already family. I even had her video chat with my husband to make sure we both felt comfortable and vibed well together--and we sure did! Overall, Karen ended up being the perfect balance of knowledge, experience, and professionalism. It was the most perfect amount of care I could have asked for. She was also such an advocate for my birth plan to work out. Before, during, and after my labor and birth, she was always naturally in tune with what I needed. She was never overbearing, worked so well with my husband, and gave him space to be a part of my support team as well. I am so grateful to have come across Labor of Love

My experience with Labor of Love was almost two years ago now but continues to upset me when thinking back on my experience. We hired Lauren as our doula, who made it clear she expected us to go far past my due date as a first time mom. While it's possible for that to happen, it didn't in my case. At 39 weeks and at 5am while in active labor and getting ready to head to the hospital, she let us know she had Covid. Her backup was Karen, who I wish we hired to begin with as she is far more caring and professional. Though unfortunately our experience still fell short and we ultimately delivered without Karen present. We were left feeling like we invested a lot of emotion and money into this process with ultimately no help. Staci has been incredibly rude to us since then and even revoked our access to watch her training videos, sending me a link to pay her once again when wanting to rewatch for our now second baby on the way. Karen herself even recommended we ask for a partial refund due to our experience, but Staci lacks the professionalism and courtesy to her clients. Truly mindblowing that she revoked access to the training videos after we had already paid for them. I would stay far away and recommend a more experienced and caring doula group.

I first met Sarah when I was…read morepregnant with my first baby in 2023 through a birth center, and I was beyond thrilled when she was the midwife on call the night I went into labor and delivered baby #1! She had such a calm and steady presence, that I myself felt calm and steady delivering my first baby into the world. When I became pregnant with baby #2, I learned that Sarah had started her own midwifery practice and I knew I HAD to have her!!! Sarah is the most knowledgeable, kind, caring, gentle, loving, patient, sweet, intelligent and empowering midwife out there - she is fantastic to work with, spends quality time with you and your family to fully get to know you and deliver customized care, which is worlds beyond what many women receive through pregnancy and postpartum. She always made me feel so seen, safe and confident, always answering my questions with extensive knowledge & wisdom, and empowered me as a mother and as a woman. Her faith-based approach made me feel uplifted and secure, bringing forth a sense of tranquility that is not often experienced through pregnancy and labor/delivery in today's world. She is truly gifted in the work that she does. Her home visit appointments made it so easy on me and my family, and she always included my first born in what we were doing, allowing her to rub aloe vera on my belly and use the Doppler to listen to her sister's heartbeat, as well as check my BP. My daughter absolutely adored her, which meant everything to me through such a transitional period of being pregnant with our second baby. She has so many wonderful personalized touches to what she provides as well, such as adorable custom umbilical cord ties, beeswax candles, magnesium salts, a packed labor & postpartum bag with everything that you need during and after labor, herbs to use in your peri-bottle, herbal padsicles, and even a postpartum massage therapist! She just provides fantastic and thoughtful touches to her care of you during and after pregnancy - truly amazing. After baby #2 was born, she was so supportive and attentive to me to the point where I didn't have to worry about a thing. She went above and beyond to handle some extra stressors I had and made my time of recovery so much easier so I could focus all of my energy on our newest baby. She would always check in on me and make sure we were doing well - she truly made us feel so loved. Sarah is family, and I cannot say enough about how absolutely wonderful she is. If you are considering a home birth, Sarah is 10000% your midwife! If we have a 3rd baby, I absolutely know who I will be calling! We love you so much Sarah!!!

We had a great experience working with Sarah. She offers a concierge experience, coming to our home for appointments. It was amazing not having to coordinate childcare for our who also loved whenever Sarah came over for appointments. She engaged with them and allowed them to "help," showing them her tools, pumping the blood pressure cuff, pressing the heartbeat monitor buttons, etc. Sarah took the time for any and all questions to be asked and addressed. She is very knowledgeable in her field and also gave space and time to talk about how life was at each stage of pregnancy (like catching up with a friend!). She is also a big advocate for informed consent - giving us the information to make various medical decisions regarding pregnancy and birth. She worked with my wife in giving her a more holistic option to the gestational diabetes test for which we were so thankful. She was confident and brought so much peace and prayer into this experience. When she arrived at our house for the delivery, she was calm, collected, and reminded my wife that she was made to birth our baby. She gave us the space to bond as a family and she and her nurse took care of the rest - cleaning, making padsicles and sitz bath postpartum tea, doing all the postpartum checks for baby and mama in such a gentle way, and maintaining the peaceful and happy environment. We are so grateful to Sarah for an amazing first homebirth experience!

We were very eager to have her help as our first birthing experience was sub par. Throughout my pregnancy, ericka never reached out to me once I had to message her to give updates so it felt like she didn't care. Ericka had a family situation where she was needed more and I was understanding. I was assured that her back up would be there at the birth if she isn't able to. Fast forward, I was induced on a thursday and had my baby on a saturday and neither her or her back up were there. Neither of them had come throughout the 3 day stay there. They kindly attempted to come after I had the baby but at that point it was too late for me as I felt I needed help laboring not after the baby was out already. After birth it took Ericka 5 days to reach out and check in and at that point it was too late for me. When I needed her, she wasn't there and I didn't even get an apology from her.

A nurse commented that she'd never seen a doula be so involved! I highly recommend Erika to any mamas/parents seeking doula support. I wouldn't have had the same empowering experience without her.
