Our waitress was excellent along with Randy! Randy filled us in on upcoming events. I am always iffy about ordering grits at a restaurant, but my my myyyy ...these grits were cooked & seasoned just like I like them. The portion sizes were great as well. R&b music gave our brunch a great vibe as well.

This Saturday/Sunday brunch is excellent from the service to the music and especially the food. The shrimp and grits is Fantastic with just the right amount of spice. The bacon egg and cheese biscuit comes with potatoes, and the portion size is huge. The lobster omelette also is a very good portion with potatoes and a salad with blueberries and other assorted fruit mixed into the salad. Mimosas have just the right amount of champagne that you can actually taste. All in all a great brunch experience. Thank you to Randy who is the manager for his insight and giving us a plethora of information on the entertainment aspect and securing the upstairs venue for special events and concerts @ Silk Factory.

The bistro has a cute exterior offering a few outdoor seats and a minimal but stylish interior and is perfect if you want to stay and chill or get your food to go. This isn't Subway so the sandwiches are priced above $10, but considering the quality and quantity (and maybe because I'm just acclimated to paying ridiculous prices in the City) you definitely get your money's worth. I heartily enjoyed the sliced hanger steak sandwich and found the mix of horseradish mayo, sautéed mushrooms, and arugula on a toasted ciabatta to be perfection. I also tried the fried chicken sandwich which was well seasoned and made all that much better with the sriracha mayo and pickles! I will be back for certain to explore the rest of the sandwich and salad options, especially the capers and oyster mushroom sandwiches and roasted beet and goat cheese salads. They also offer baked goods from Newburgh Flower Shop down the block as well as a variety of coffee and tea drinks. If you get pickup, call the restaurant directly because the prices through Doordash are higher to compensate for the fees the restaurant has to pay. Good to have Toasted on the Liberty Street scene!

Wow, I can almost be a vegetarian with food prepared like this. I had their fried oyster mushroom…read moresandwich and it was so delicious. The bread was sturdy and crusty and crunchy on the outside. The oyster mushrooms were accompanied with a lovely spicy aioli and pickles. Even though it may a cost a little more than a sandwich from a national chain, the food is made with lots of care with fresh ingredients and the portion is enough for two lunches (at least for me). It was a little messy so I was glad I was outside to enjoy it. It's a small space inside (perhaps 5 square table for 2 each) and it's almost kitty corner to my favorite shop, Oliver & Chatfield. Since it's a little further down on Liberty street, you'll find plenty of street parking.
