I called these people based on the TV ads saying they help Veterans. I was unaware that they do no offer HELOANS, as that is what I was looking for. They tried to pressure me into refinancing everything, including the house. I told them I was not interested. That's when the mail and phone calls started coming non stop. I called them and asked to be removed from their call list. It was pointless. I get three to four calls from a day. I normally won't write a negative review on a product or service unless the business uses sales deception tactics, bait and switch operations, or exploitation of data collection. I recently entered forced retirement after 32 years of military service due to service connected medical disabilities. Although I receive benefits and income, it was a substantial reduction of total household income, which eventually caught up to me, causing me to exhaust my savings to pay monthly debts, and ultimately fall behind on my financial obligations. While watching the television, a commercial advertisement for "New Day USA" came on. What caught my attention was the fact that their spokesman was a Retired Admiral who advocated financial assistance to Veterans that were "in need of financial relief" through a secure loan based on homeowner's equity. Their advertisement targeted Veteran's that were retired, may have had blemishes on their credit report, or have been turned away by other lenders "because they cared for Military Members as if they were family". I owned my home, maintained an excellent payment history, I only owed less than 20% of my home value, and had proof of fixed retirement income. I thought, "This is me, that they are talking about!", and I would be a perfect candidate to the services that they are offering! Although I was exactly the type of client they described in their advertisement, after calling New Day USA, I quickly learned that I would not qualify for the services that they offered but was given a couple of other lenders as potential assistance. I was frustrated and a little bit confused, but soon after, I began receiving offers from various lenders to my email, my postal address, through unsolicited phone calls, and even text messages. I knew then that my personal information was made available to other entities without my permission. I had no proof but had a gut feeling that New Day USA sold my information to a lead generation platform. Ultimately, owing very little on my property, I was able to refinance my home loan with a bank that was glad to have my business. I was able to receive enough cash-out to pay off debts that were in jeopardy of being delinquent or that maintained higher interest rates and still keep my monthly payment below what I was originally paying. In my opinion, New Day USA is a predatorial business that targets vulnerable military Veterans in need of financial assistance by using deceptive sales tactics, false advertising, and through psychological methods by the endorsement of former Leaders that may be familiar and trusted by military Veterans. In addition to feeling like I may have dodged a financial bullet that would ultimately "bleed-out" my monthly income with little to no benefit to my previous financial situation, I am extremely disappointed to see a retired Flag Officer endorse an operation to take advantage of US Service Members. One of their sales pitches is, "You have severed our country. Now, let us serve you with a New Day USA loan". The only thing I think they serve their clients is a load of BS! I have yet to decide on initiating a Congressional inquiry, or report their operations to the US Inspector General's Office, but I indeed feel compelled to warn Veterans to execute their own due diligence, and research other alternatives prior to considering any financial activities with New Day USA. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They say they are for helping veterans, they are not. I am moving to Tennesse from California . I was qualified for 195K at 6.5%. Two weeks before I was leaving for Tennesse to look for property, I received a call from Loan Officer Michell. He wanted to know how my house hunting wasn't going. I told him when I was Leaving and that I will be getting serious in getting a home into escrow. He told me that he could help me out and give me up to 220k. The day I returned to California, I Received call from Michell telling me that NewDay USA will have to re-write my loan for a higher interest rate and will reduce my spending capital by 10K ., and if I wanted 220k I would need to pay off a 8k loan I have. I am a former NEW DAY USA client and honorable retired Army disable Veteran. Several years ago I reached out to N.D.U to refi my home and take a cash out. At the time the marker interest rate was very high 7.5% or so. The N.D.U agent we talked with, I dont recall his name- yet he did an outstanding job with my refi and cash out. I asked him to let me know when the interest rate drops so we maybe take another refi just too keep my mortage payment low. I never heard from the person in question. I was getting all kinds of junk refi male sent to me from other VA and now VA home loan agencies. All other VA firms stated I could refi with 5.0.% and save some funds. I never heard from N.D.U so I reached out to them. The rep I talked to completed a credit report my credit score was in the high 700 range. Yet after the all was said and down the agent told me I must stay in the 7.0% range. He never explained why- and he stop responding to my calls. I sent a letter to N.D.U. headquarters also another VA mortgage reached out to me. I was able to complete my refi with 5.5% and its closed out 100% at this time. I got a strange call from another N.D.U. rep questioning me why I did not complete my transaction with N.D.U. After I explain to him what happened he stated he was sorry for what his co worker did- or tried to do- Robbing Peter to pay Paul. Give me a brake! New Day USA thank you for your help- but no thanks you.. I would question all veterans seeking to a home loan with N.D.U. These folks have my mortgage and I must say, the original application and all that went fine. That was a few years ago. But fast forward to 2023. They kept telling me they had a "special" program for "select" veterans. So, I finally started that application process. By the time they were done, my 2.75 APR was going to be bumped to current market rates taking my payment of $1700 a month and putting it well over $3K. So much for special programs for vets. But to compound the issue, I have been called and texted relentlessly since then, by scummy, scammy outfits like Nations Credit among others. I have NEVER had this happen like this on a refi before so apparently these aye-wholes sold my information to the lowest of the low in the financial scammer's world. RUN RUN RUN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCREWING VETERANS OVER. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! I am a female Veteran and was contacted by New Day USA repeatedly after I purchased my place with a VA loan with a 3.00% interest rate. I called them when I wanted to possibly do a HELOC loan because my HOA is increasing their payments by a huge sum for a special assessment. I cannot do a HELOC because I haven't got enough equity. With New Day I never filled out a form, and everything was by phone or email. I got nervous when Joseph John William Delgado told me that it was "close" and after I asked what my Interest Rate would be, and the other details, he told me he (as the supposed VP of Loans) had to ask his superior. He never called me back, and I called him twice and he finally called back. He said the interest rate would be 7.5% and he would far overvalue my place by nearly $100K! He said my payment would then be $5000 a month. It didn't take long for me to decide this was INSANE and I then called and left him a message that I was NOT INTERESTED. The next day I received a crumpled overnight package in my mailbox like I was going ahead with this. His 'estimate' was even worse than he stated initially. The payments would go UP to OVER $6000 a month and the interest rate was 7.9%! He increased the time of my ownership of my residence by 10 months. Plus the documentation said the closing costs would be $36K. He put in the paperwork that I owed almost what I initially paid for my place. As a veteran I can refinance for 100% but in this would not get enough back to start to pay my loans nor did he have my correct employment date, correct monthly income (everything was inflated) as a figment of his imagination. I never signed anything, but he filled out all these forms for me to sign. EVERY SINGLE ITEM WAS WRONG on the paperwork HE filled out.
