First off, this facility is absolutely stunning with a full gym, a large room for yoga and meditation and several rooms for reiki, acupuncture and more. In the lobby, there is bar seating and a cooler filled with health conscious drinks, a small shop with different teas, lotions and supplements and two gorgeous waterfall installations that make for a serene, calming experience while you wait. I have prior experience with reiki but this experience was like no other. Before entering the room I would have my healing in, Ceres cleansed my aura with rose water, Florida water, palo santo and she was even nice enough to use some instruments for sound healing since I had arrived to my appointment early. When entering the room, I noticed a large panel above the bed I would rest on. Ceres explained that she would administer red and blue light therapy to enhance the process. Ceres made me feel relaxed and welcomed. She gave me great insight afterwords and helped me make a purchase after describing my stress and goals to reduce it. The wellness center has ongoing events that they post on their social media. I look forward to going back in the future and definitely would highly recommend the center if you're in the area! Though initially I went to see her for help with motion sickness that medication no longer helped, she shared that she felt the true root of my problems had to do with my disruptive sleep patterns. Though I have taken sleep aids for years (and, truly, remember being a child without good sleep), I no longer wake several times overnight so that I am getting much better quality sleep. Well, she wasn't wrong! I have taken 7 flights since beginning treatment and have been able to FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS look out the window and enjoy take off/landing (if I notice at all). I've been an on-and-off patient of Dr. Doam Kim since 2011 when I first went to him for my first-ever acupuncture therapy over excruciating back pain. Since then, I have gotten packaged medicine prepared for me to overcome night sweats in winter and followed Dr. Kim from Fort Lee to the current Englewood Cliffs location for occasional acupuncture. Dr. Kim has is very professional, patiently explains his diagnosis, and truly cares for the patients. When I had to get the above medicine made again, he recommended that I take the ingredients he wrote down to go make a pill version while I'm visiting Korea because his version of vacuum-sealed liquid medicine is expensive and it's not the most cost-effective treatment for my condition considering how Chinese medicine focuses on changing the body's nature over a long time instead of doing a quick fix, and mine was gonna take at least half a year. On my most recent visit a few months back for acupuncture, they followed up on the acupuncture and cupping routine with a soothing massage as well to relieve my aches.
