Also, very interesting to know about Dr. Joe Conner, the first Native Osage PhD. in Experimental Psychology. It was his mission to rejuvenate Fairfax, especially the Tallchief Theater. For more information, a flyer directs visitors to Treats just down the street. I met some delightful ladies from Fairfax and found some lovely gifts, jewelry, and snacks. They told me about Hale Hall on Main St. and I discovered the offices of the Shoun doctors from the movie. Filming was actually done in the original building with the setting dept. taking everything back to the colors of the 1920's. Wonderful little town with good places to eat and best of all very nice people everywhere I stopped. About 25 miles from Pawhuska. Highly recommended!
