We had the unfortunate experience of retaining NorthIndy for a railing project. Initially, I stopped by their store early afternoon to look at some of the product. No one was in, and I waited around the open store for probably 10-15 minutes when someone drove up. He said he was the owner. Very nice initial meeting then the wheels fell off. A lack of communication, many missed installment appts for a 2-man crew who showed up knowing this was second floor and didn't have a ladder. Fortunately, I the homeowner did have one that worked. The installers said they couldn't install part of the railing, so the GC had to install them. We were told there was a mix-up on the order and the wrong railing was ordered. I imagine communication with the GC and NorthIndy was part of the problem. The GC stepped up and installed part of the railing as the NorthIndy crew said they couldn't. Finally, I gave up and just wanted them done and gone. Both the GC and I had to call many, many times to get a call back and answer. I took off work waiting for them on at least 3 occasions only to have to call them and ask where are you? There are plenty of other sources for Westbury products and I'd look for anyone but NorthIndy. I expect a less than responsive reply, without taking any responsibility for their seriously lacking customer service.

They also cut the arc to match the rest of the fence. They were fast, efficient, and pleasant. The whole job, including cementing the posts, was done in two days' time. Where we ran into issues - Rushed drywall repair: The joint compound was sanded and painted after one day (versus the 3-4 days Michael originally said it needed). My construction date was 11/23/2020 and I figured the holiday, covid, the weather or some combination was going to get in the way. I called to confirm the week before and it turned out that the weather cooperated. Austin was the best! He called early Monday morning to double check his supplies matched my order and he never stopped working until it was done! Professional, friendly, clean, courteous and FAST. He did in 7 hours of work what it would have taken me 7 weeks to do myself. He was able to center my door (not to spec) and did a great job with the ramp that had to be positioned to handle a pretty steep slant in the yard. Elk Roofing came highly recommended to me by a general contractor/handyman I have used for smaller…read morejobs around my home. I had a leak in the roof near my chimney flashing, and the job required more expertise than my handyman felt he had. I had a few larger roofing companies come out to give estimates, and all were either unwilling to do smaller jobs or had prices that seemed far too high for a relatively minor leak repair that was almost certainly caused by sealant failure. Elk came out within a couple days of my initial call (this was a minor leak and did not require immediate repair) and performed a thorough inspection of my roof. They agreed with my assessment that the leak was relatively minor and due to sealant failure, although they noted that some of the decking surrounding the leak would need replacement. They provided a very reasonable estimate, which included the full cost of materials. I hired Elk for the job and all work was completed within the week. Elk removed the shingles from the surrounding area and replaced the damaged decking with new plywood. They even took the time to match my shingles perfectly, ensuring that the repair would not be visible, and did a superior job flashing the chimney. It has been more than six months since the repair and I have had no further issues. After the job was complete, Elk took the time to help me store the excess shingles and plywood in my backyard shed, just in case they are needed for future repairs. As a bonus, they were less expensive than any of the big roofing companies I had out, and the contractor who did my job seemed far more experienced/knowledgeable than the technicians who provided my initial estimates. I was very pleased with the prompt, professional work I received and would definitely hire Elk again!
