My counselor Nick was excellent. He was very skillful with guiding the group and helpful to me…read moreindividually.

If you're looking for some kind of addiction treatment center and even if you're not sure what you…read moreneed you owe it to yourself to talk to these people. I waited too long. I wish I had heard about this place a year or two earlier. The first person I talked to was Mary. She is no nonsense and very professional but you can tell after talking to her a while that she really knows what she's doing and what you are going through. Most of all you get the sense that she really wants you to get better. She can tell you straight what you need to do to get back on track. I was in the Saturday group. From the first day I was welcomed and felt at home. It was easy to open up or just listen to what other people were experiencing. Believe me, you think you are alone until you realize that other people are doing the same things, suffering the same consequences and feeling just as bad and angry and hopeless about it. It's not easy but it is easier than I thought it would be. They teach you to recognize the triggers that lead you into situations you can't control and techniques for avoiding the consequences. It isn't easy to talk about this but I hope people who badly want to quit drinking and drugs and hurting the people they love could find this place and give it a try.
