This company is terrible! They don't have their own surveyors, they get subs to do the work. No one answers the phone and there is no customer service. They don't check paperwork before it goes out. Their prices are no bargain for low standards!!! read more

At best, Nexgen is incompetent; at worst, they exhibit a concerning level of negligence and dishonesty. They fail to return calls to confirm appointments or answer questions. They rely on subcontractors, leading to inconsistent and subpar service. They falsely reported on my survey a labeled marker that is in fact, nonexistent. Technicians misinterpreted their equipment's feedback, mistaking rebar in our historic 100-year-old retaining wall for a marker. Additionally, they spray-painted this retaining wall to identify where the supposed marker was, violating local regulations in our historic district, which prohibits exterior alterations without prior approval. To compound the issue, they demanded over $100 to locate the marker they claim existed. Only when I told them I dug a three foot hole to find there is in fact no marker, and I'm not paying for something they should have already done, did they send someome out (again subcontractors, and again without communicating when/what day they would be arriving). I still don't have a proper marker in that spot, they just put a stake of wood in their "best guess" spot in the hole where the marker should be. Accurate property line identification is crucial to prevent disputes and ensure compliance with zoning laws. Relying on incorrect boundaries can have significant consequences, even legal ramifications, including disputes with neighbors and potential penalties for encroachments. I strongly advise you to find someone else, even if it costs a bit more. read more

Don't waste your time, money or energy on this company unless all you need is a boundary survey for mortgage purposes or an elevation certificate for flood insurance. Even with that said; They hire third party contractors for their surveys who don't care about anything more than their 1099 income. If you call you'll get a representative that doesn't care either once you've paid for it. Most of the time they will just say that I can't understand you and hang up. Use your local surveyor instead. Nexgen wants to monopolize the market by giving discounts to the title companies and don't care about anyone else. read more

Showed up twice to my property on not on the appt day. Walked on my property, near my windows, etc not on the day or the appt just showed up thought it would be okay on both days to just do whatever they wanted. unprofessional to say the least. read more

Despite everything happening with covid and businesses having reduced hours, longer turnaround times, and decreased customer service, Nexgen exceeded my expectations. I requested a survey from them at the last minute (giving them about 4 days total to work with), and Matt Miller went above and beyond to ensure that we met our deadline for closing. Other surveying companies were giving completion dates of 5 weeks out, so getting the document back in less than a week was truly magical. Thank you Nexgen! read more

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. We had a survey done when we moved into our house. Decided to put a pool in, submitted everything to the city to find out they did our surgery wrong. I contacted them and they did correct it. Our problem came when we needed to file for abandonment of easement for the pool. When we contacted them to see if they could update the survey showing the abandonment of easement they said they could not do it. So long story kinda short the city contacted them for us and they finally said the could update the survey for $650, what??? For 10 minutes worth of work? I emailed them and asked if they could work with the price, yep they could they dropped it to $575 All of this was over a 4 week time period. Very frustrating. Need less to say we have contacted a new survey company that is going to do a new survery with everything we need for 1/2 of what this company wanted to updated a survey that was already done. read more

My title company selected NexGen Surveying. My experience has been horrible. Since my purchase was done with me being out of town...things where not done. No flags were posted on the property. The survey was drawn and labelled incorrectly completely missing a second address on the property. The elevation certificate purchased was completely incorrect...stating that my property is in flood zone when the second half of it is not (and it has the building not correctly labelled on it too). When I called the company 3 times to inform them of the mistakes nothing was done. The 4th time I finally asked for a refund... at which time I was told "Please tell us what is wrong with the survey and we will fix it on the paper". Well I'm not ok with paying for a service I have to tell them how to do. I still have the wrong survey and incorrect elevation certificate. And the last time I spoke with the CEO asking for a refund -- he told me he was not opposed to it .... yet told me the manager would call me 5 days later. It is now 7 days later and I have not heard back at all and I have incorrect documents that I cannot use. Based upon this - I would not recommend this company. read more

NexGen was selected by my title company and after my experience, I would not recommend them. I found an error in the survey and they said they would redo it. I also needed my property line marked with stakes for grading work that is being done. The surveyors never showed up the day scheduled and I had to call the office only to be told they didn't understand what needed to be done. I'm told they were provided instructions by the head surveyor and they would be back the next day. The surveyors came out marked the two front property corners and left. Never said they couldn't place the stakes or any explanation. They use independent contractors and there appears to be a complete lack of effective communication and care. read more

DO NOT USE!! If I could give zero stars I would. I like to give people the benefit of doubt and believe that they are doing their best but I feel I have to let people no how much of a nightmare it is to deal with this company. I have been waiting 34 days for them to mark the 4 corners of my property based off of the survey they already did. No markers were left up at the time they completed the original survey. My credit card was charged on day one and I have nothing to show for it. So far they have not shown 4 up times, 4 days of lost income because I have taken off of work to be there. I have never received any communications from the company about rescheduling or why they were unable to make it. I've had to call the office everytime asking why they didnt show up but have never received any explanation. I have been more than patient allowing them to do the right thing and show any form of customer service but the only answer I am ever given is that it is "pending for tomorrow." I was assured by the manager that someone would be out again this morning at 8:30 and again no show. read more
