You know what's better than the 49ers whooping on the Cowboys?! Having Jeff S. from Next Door Overhead Doors work on my garage!! This wasn't some simple repair or a job with minimal or limited options. This could have very easily been overwhelming and expensive if I didn't have Jeff to guide me through all my options and recommendations. He was one of several who I bidded this job out to, but he instantly gained my trust with what he was saying, first on the phone, then during the in-person estimate. He was very understanding that I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn the night before and thus not completely versed in garage door replacement, costs, brands, pros/cons of options, ensuring the color-matched my house perfectly, etc. The hardware, materials & manufacturer choices by Jeff were top-notch. My garage door is amazingly quiet now and love the fun options like an additional keypad & Smart WiFi option for peace of mind while I'm not home. Why argue with the wife, when we can just log into the app and prove that I may have accidentally left the door open... again. I love the motor Jeff chose with it's LED lighting with different dimming options, the slow start and stop to ensure quiet performance, but the Smart App is currently out of date with my phone (details below). Don't judge me because I'm an Android user. Judge me because I've made bad decisions shopping on Amazon after a few cocktails. No bad decision choosing Next Door Overhead Doors!! Not a week from posting this review, not even hours... but within 15 minutes!!! To help me with a fix!!) for the garage motor and explained my app download issue. They were super responsive, got some info about my phone & software version and vowed to come back with an answer. Jeff S. isn't worried about me leaving a review, good or bad. He's worried about me trusting him and that I might not be more than 100% satisified with his work or the product that he stands behind. THAT is customer service. THAT is why I wish Jeff S., also owned a plumbing business, a solar power company, a carpet cleaning service, etc., You get the idea. WOO HOO!!! Here's the fix - just in case. If you're not able to download the app directly from the Google Play Store, you can instead use your web browser to locate the app and then click "Install on Device". Your phone will verify that you're trying to install an app via the web and voila... within a few minutes, the app will be auto downloaded and installed. No silly pop-up warnings or blockers because of Android software versions being "out of date". This won't be a bug for everyone. I'm just lucky, I guess. My garage door opener died and I called several places for estimates to replace it. The first guy who came out said I needed new springs and wiring and several other unrelated things and gave me a bid just short of $2800. Two more guys gave me lower bids but still over $1000 and that's without new springs, because my springs are fine. Jeff from Next Door responded promptly and came by to give me a bid. He did not try to upsell me at all and gave me an excellent price and did the install the same day! I could not be more pleased! The entire project was completed for under $400. amazing customer service. We had the Door arrive with damage from the manufacturer. The manufacturer did everything possible to try to make us take a small credit. Next Door had to advocate for us to get a new door. They were successful! They didn't request full payment until the new door was installed. Which ment a big delay in them getting paid. It was nice that we were never pressured to take the damage door, or be pressed for payment with an incomplete job. the whole situation could've been horrible memory but working with them made it no big deal. I can still love the door and be happy that we made the purchase. I would one hundred percent recommend them over anyone else. read more
