Go Pro replaced our door springs in June. The door intermittently worked for a few days, then it stopped closing. When we called a lady that answered the phone gave us all sorts of ideas on how to shade the sensor. That intermittently worked for a bit. By September we couldn't deal with it anymore and requested someone to come back out. They sent a different technician this time and he said the problem was with the spring and the sensor. He said the first technician installed the wrong springs for my door. We talked about adjusting the sensor to avoid direct sunlight. He replaced the spring, adjusted the chain, adjusted the sensors and said we were good to go. We were not good to go. A few hours later the door would not work again. We called the same day. We spoke to man and asked if he can send the same technician back out who was just here. We had talked about moving the sensor higher and we wanted to talk to him about that again. He told me that I would likely need a new motor because it was old. I know it is old but wanted to talk to the technician about the sensors. He said he'd call me back. Well the owner/manager called back the next day. He immediately started off telling me the motor is old and needed to be replaced. He did not listen to what I was saying. He went into a long explanation about not needing to readjust the chain, telling me metal doesn't stretch, he's being doing this a long time, etc. He did not listen to anything I said. He already had in his mind that the motor needed to be replaced and he would not send the technician back. I would have appreciated him just saying telling me he wouldn't send the technician back and avoid the long condescending explanation without even listening to what I was asking. I could barely get a word in. We ended up getting another company to come out to raise the sensor and fix the sensor wire. Motor is old but it's working just fine. The motor was never the problem. We originally called this company to replace the spring and they did do that but the process was a struggle and the customer service after was not good. read more

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY Our garage door fell off it's track. This caused the opener to get caught up and causing the upper panel to crease. Very unusual. This has never happened before to any of our homes. After further inspection and putting the door rollers back in. I noticed the installer didn't install the bracing correctly on the left side. The track had drifted. Causing the hang up and bind. Our home was a rental. In two years since i stallation, we never got a call from our renter about this issue. We are very conscientious landlords. We always maintain our properties with pride and screen our own tenants. I called the company immediately, since we have new tenants moving in on November 1st. The company sent out a technician. He never came to the home with the original sales invoice. I was forced to retrieve it. When I came back to show the invoice to the technician Robert. He was already working on the garage problems. Robert admitted that the previous installer did shoddy work. We had a brief conversation about the last installer and his physical makeup. Robert told me that this person no longer works with the company. Because of work he did on our install. I knew from the first words out of Brian's mouth that he was not going to do anything else. It was now my problem. Brian immediately put it on us. Robert had come out to our home and found numerous installation problems with the install. Robert asked me who it was that did the install? I made numerous phone calls to office and texted Robert a couple of times to get an answer. No response. I spoke to a lady in the office that said that they would get back to me on Monday . That call never came. I finally got a call from the lady in the office and she put me on with a conference call with Brian the described office manager/owner. Brian became abrasive right off the bat in his conversation with me. He was very degrading. He told me that I didn't do a proper inspection of the garage door which the manufacturer requires. They won't be honoring the installation warranty. Since it was two years ago since installation. Robert was already fixing the poor installation. Robert had to install numerous bolts for the bracketing and correct the bracing that wasn't done correctly that caused the garage to get damaged. Robert told me that he would have to come back once he found out the proper garage door manufacturer to reinstall the upper panel. If they were not going to honor the warranty. Why did the technician go through and correct the installation issues? The technician installed all the missing bolts, nuts, screws and rebrace both garage doors tracks. Now Brian the owner does not want to honor his business reputation and the poor service and installation that we received. I would highly recommend staying away from this company and getting into a discussion with an owner like this. The owner is a untrustworthy person and are very decdeceitful. He likes to play the blame game with the clients. We have been landlords and homeowners for over 40 years. We never had to go through and tighten up bolts and nuts during after installation. The only thing that was ever required was to grease the wheels on the tracks yearly. In conclusion, the installation was never done correctly. This company only corrected the imperfections of the original installer to cover their butts. We still have a bad panel that we now have to pay someone else to correct. read more

The tech, Justin, was courteous, called me to tell me he was running late and when he got there saw what the problem was. I have used them on two occasions to replace springs. Both times they broke off under two years. The builders cheap quality springs lasted 10 years. I hired another company to replace these cheap, bad quality springs. They told me that the springs that GoPro garage doors installed was the wrong ones and not strong enough for the heavier garage door. Shame on them to sell you cheap quality, weak springs. Invoice # 23437, November 2020 for $150.02 Invoicr # 17178, January 2018, for $353.84 So $500 in 2 years. I don't care if it's made in the US. I expect the best and not cheap bad quality. Like I said, the cheap springs the builder put in lasted 10 years, but this company has been on my payroll for the past few years. read more

I had a horrible experience with them. The technician tried to rip off and sell unnecessary part replacements. Had a call to fix a broken spring. We needed the door to be replaced urgently. Learning of our urgency, the technician charged us around $536. After the replacement, the door didn't open/close correctly, which was never an issue earlier. The technician charged another $69 to so-called fixing the limit on the remote. The technician also informed me that the rails and the rollers need to be replaced and the whole opener needs to be replaced as the limit circuit is broken and gave an estimate of $1200. I called liftmaster and the support person spent 2 hours with me to diagnose the problem. It was found that the technician didn't balance the door after replacing the springs and that there is no problem with the limit circuit on the opener. I called the pro garage door, and they had the audacity to say that Lift master representative doesn't know anything. Finally, the technician came back and rebalanced the door. The technician was rude and informed us to never call him back. I will follow his advice of not calling him back. I also applied grease on the rollers, springs, and hinges, and all the noise went away (the technician wanted me to replace the rollers and the tracks). read more

I emailed GOPro for a consult and bid to install a new garage door opener for my son's garage in Hercules. The space is used for storage and only 120 square feet. We were quite concerned since the area was so small and Installation required shortening of the Horizontal Motor Track for a successful job, however, GoPro sent Travis, a very capable and experienced younger man to assess the problem. Amazing is all I can say. But details... I came home at 4:45 and the garage door opening spring blew up, making the door inoperable. I called the door maker's number ten minutes before closing. No answer. Yelp's first suggestion didn't answer at 5 but I was able to leave a message. I tried Go Pro just after 5, based on reviews, hoping just to leave a message and get a call back tomorrow morning. To my surprise, a real person answered and she quickly made arrangements for an early call tomorrow. That's all I expected. I was just glad to have something in the works. Five minutes later, she called back and told me the service guy was in my neighborhood finishing a job and wanted to help me tonight at regular rates. Wow...yes! Brian arrived before 5:30 and was done at 6:15. He knew what he was doing, encouraged me to watch and ask questions and left the door quieter than it was before it broke with some minor adjustments.
