I requested that they repair the air conditioning and a fix and flip home. There was a little scope creep because we wanted the air to be be working properly. We started with a price of $4400 to replace a compressor with a builder grade compressor. We negotiated up to 6000, because I also wanted them to fix some issues with thermostats and the second system at the back of the house. It seemed there were enough wires to have a common in place to power the thermostats, but they said they had to pull more wire. possibly the wire was broken. When everything wrapped up, the job was done to my satisfaction, we had arguably a better compressor install than we had discussed, but since it is visible when approaching the house, it improves the curb appeal. The downside is when it never discussed anything higher than 6000, and the invoice came in at over 8000. Giving them the benefit of the doubt. There were some issues sourcing a compressor and parts, they had my permission to go with a different compressor, but they should not have thought that implied in agreement to increase the price over $2000. In the end, the work was done, and I don't believe I was gouged. I was clearly dealing with a good man in the Service Manager, but it seems there was a glitch in the communication. Overall, the communication was very good. But, nobody wants an over $2000 surprise. read more

Our AC stopped cooling when it was 118 degrees outside. We searched YELP and found Next Level Air had several positive reviews and experiences. We decided to reached out to them. We called the next day at 6:30am and were able to schedule same day service. Anthony arrived on-time as scheduled and was immediately positive and engaging when we greeted him at the door. After a few probing question by Anthony he began the service call. Anthony opened the AC unit and advised us that our capacitor had blown. We appreciated his honesty when determining the cause of the failure as we had already suspected this was the cause based on our own assessment prior to the service call. Our AC unit is 21 years old and we had several companies immediately tell us it needed to be replaced before even coming out and quoted us thousands of dollars. I went over a month without a working AC due to what another technician said was going to be over a $1500 job just to get my unit to get back to blowing cool air in this 100 plus degrees weather.
