He started at a 3/4 size but it was slightly too big after a month or so on playing on it, and they easily switched us to a 1/2 size. Awesome! Everyone who works here is beyond friendly and helpful. Recently, my son accidentally broke the bridge on his cello. I called, thinking this was going to cost $$$ but it was covered under our rental agreement! Whew! Luckily my son wasn't going to forgo some allowance to chip in on this. I dropped it off mid-morning and it was ready the next day. I brought in the broken bridge and the guy working there (I forget his name!) custom made a brand new one. If you want friendly and reasonably priced rentals, this is the place to go. They also have lots of instruments for sale - string, keyboards, guitars, ukes - anything you need! And you won't find nicer people anywhere, of that I'm sure.

!!BEWARE!! Weiner…read moremusic is a SCAM Specifically ordered the old style Clark fobes barrel. They sent me the new version. I emailed them right after delivery about this and received no response, but on their website they updated the photo after my email. I called them and said I wanted the old barrel if you can check stock and if not available call me and set up a return. They falsely advertised the incorrect product, and blamed me for this. They deducted $9 for a cleaning fee of a barrel that was never used, and again the incorrect item. The people working the phones are morons and scammers. I utilized this place for years and referring my students to purchase equipment and instruments since 2015. And buying reeds while on broadway tours. That all ends NOW Take your business elsewhere. Photos below show my email complaint. The original photo on my invoice for the barrel I wanted (very blurry pic) and then the return invoice minus $9 with the updated new barrel (that I didn't want)

Student rental experience is a hassle. There's a reason this store is not on the list of rental…read moreplaces for some of the area's schools. Consistent with other reviews, issues with the instrument are always the fault of the careless student and can never be a defect in manufacturing or normal wear and tear. Moreover, the repair I paid for didn't solve the problem and an instrument switch was out of the question. When you turn in the instrument, there is a hard sell for you to either continue the rental, buy it outright or buy something else. You can't simply return the instrument without a sales pitch that needs to be rebuffed. That having been said the store does have a lot of instruments and music equipment for sale, does do repairs, is located right on Sunrise Highway and they seem to be connected in the professional musician industry. I just wish it was run better.
