She was especially patient and kind with my mom, who was anxious and overwhelmed preparing to sell their home of nearly 50 years and most of their belongings.The Estate Edit not only advertised and sold several large-ticket items before the sale, but also staged everything beautifully. They even created an INCREDIBLE, customized video that highlighted the items for sale while celebrating the history of our family home--a special touch we'll never forget. During the sale weekend, Molly checked in with me daily to update me on what was selling. What could have been a stressful, emotional process turned out to be smooth, professional, and even more successful than I expected--we sold and earned more than I had hoped, and their services were worth every penny. Do not trust these people. I bought a peace of furniture from them over the phone. They sent me an…read moreinvoice with absolutely no information on it other than the dollar amount. I then contacted them letting them know it didn't say anything about what I was purchasing. Then they just put ottoman. So I wrote them back stating that it was for a leather ottoman in very good condition. Which was what they told me. But neglected to put on the invoice. I then proceed to pay for it. I had a funny feeling at that point. Then I went to pick up my item a few days later. I had my doubts that it was leather at that point. I asked if they were sure it was leather again. They told me it was definitely leather. So I took them at their word. After loading the ottoman I took it to a leather furniture store in S. Barrington. He confirmed what I had thought. It was vinyl. I then proceeded to contact them. Thinking that maybe it was an oversight. Their reply was try to sell it on facebook marketplace. I did not tell them I wanted any money off. Nor did I tell them I wanted to return it. I just left the ball in their court. But me trying to sell it on marketplace is a joke. Thank god , I bought it with american express. I contacted them immediately. They issued me a refund. Pending an investigation. I will also be contacting the state's attorney's office. Due to the company's fraudulent representation. If you get screwed over by this company. I recommend you do the same. If you buy anything from this company be careful. They will tell you anything. To sell it to you. After looking at there reply.you can see that they are scammers. Nothing like we can meet at an expert to verify or please give us a call to rectify the situation. By the way the delay was because the invoice didn't state what I was getting. I can just imagine what would have happened if I didn't get clarification. Oh and by the way I wasn't even picking it up until the next day. So how was I trying to walk out with it without paying. Obviously just excuses from a scamming company. That got caught in there lies.

I have frequented this place numerous times and have had the blessing of seeing it grow, rearrange and expand. Once I was in there and a worker there was so kind and helpful and even gave me a deal on the two chairs that I purchased. The most recent visit was just the opposite. No one to help or greet. I asked a question and was treated not only like I was stupid but said, "Here's the stairs right here", like I'm some sort of imbecile. I proceeded to want to check out and two workers were too busy complaining and I stood there and waited until they were done. Then when I gave my card she starts to tell me that my card wasn't accepted but then realized she put it in upside down. No apology just again an attitude. I spent over $50 and I didn't know that as a customer I'm such a burden. Take my advice hire friendly people who work only the floor to help customers if you're too busy to help and answer questions. I will still go but there are other shops in the area that I may consider visiting before I'll go back again.

My husband's aunt was a very savvy garage and estate sale shopper and collected "quite" a few things from artwork, furniture, silver, Limoges, china, collectibles, and on and on. I was amazed that within the first few days of setting up for the sale how much was unpacked and neatly displayed. Lynn was in regular contact with me with questions or suggestions during set-up, sale and clean out. She posted instructions for sale attendees as to where to park so not to inconvenience the neighbors. Time was spent researching items and I felt the prices were reasonable. I called them because when I checked in it said "delayed", but I didn't know if that was what their system was saying because two of the items I ordered apparently weren't in stock. The guy on the phone said that he just saw someone go back so they'd be out shortly. Seven minutes later, they did bring out a curbside order for the car that had come since I was sitting there. At this point I'd been waiting at least 20 minutes so I called back and cancelled the entire order. It was my own naïveté and hope that visiting the most convenient store (since we were in the Loop) might be ok this time. If you have to order from here just do it online.
