My daughter is autistic and, like many neurodivergent children, can become overwhelmed with unfamiliar or abrupt interactions. Instead of approaching the situation with patience or understanding, the doctor said, "If you can't control your child, I don't have time." Let me be clear: 1. My daughter has special needs, and regulating a child like her takes time and skill--not impatience and judgment. 2. There's a reason these appointments are scheduled--to meet the patient where they are and provide care accordingly. 3. don't come here. They don't care. They just want to send you on their way. I had went in because because I was experiencing flu/covid symptoms, I got tested &' was negative for both of them. They told me I had a simple cold &' i should be able to go back to work. Well two days comes by i go to work i have another fever. So i go back tell them I was feeling worse &' I got tested again. I waited for 2 &' A HALF hours just for them to tell me they don't know what's wrong with me, so they gave me a Throat culture &' i wasn't supposed to receive the test results until Friday supposedly. they sent me home with nothing &' just told me to take ibuprofen &' tylenol. I couldn't wait till friday so I had went somewhere else to get checked &' turns out I had MULTIPLE things wrong with me including pneumonia. Friday passed &' Next care never gave me my tests results. The doctors here suck. read more

I only ever go here if Presbyterian Urgent care is closed. I prefer not to go the 24/7 Pres on Coors. No more. Overall, their check-in process is tedious. Go inside, give your information, scan QR code, fill out an insane amount of questions, come back, tell them you're done, they kick you out to your vehicle (or sometimes they don't, their very inconsistent) and then text you when they're ready.. I came in for a vicious cough and awful fever/flush in my head and neck. They took me back and didn't weigh me, or inform me of my BP, O2, or Resp. The nurse then sat me down in a room for over an hour. I got a call about 20 minutes in from the front desk telling me that I need to come in or my appointment will be cancelled... HELLO?! I'm back here already. Holly, the Nurse Practitioner, comes in FINALLY. She asks what I'm here for, I tell her I had to miss my grandma's funeral for a bad cough and fever (protecting my family during COVID, fuck me, right?) she listens to my lungs, she asks how high my fever was an immediately told me that my fever "doesn't qualify as a fever", she feels my neck and says there is nothing wrong with me, viral infection. Water, rest, fluids. It felt rushed, I felt like no one cared, and I went home still feeling like shit, with a sickness that came on strong and fast. It felt like a health"care"production line.. I start feeling worse the next day. I go in to Pres on Atrisco. They offered me a strep and COVID test.. turns out I have COVID, my lymph nodes were swollen, lungs fucked up, and had a low grade fever. I am now on the medication I need to start feeling better. No help from NextCare. To top it off, the front desk nurse figured it would be better to have a cigarette break first rather than give me my discharge paperwork.. so I had to wait an additional 10 minutes just to fuck off and get that rest and water. Please take yourself to a recognized, trusted, not 2-star rated medical facility for your urgent care needs. After the few chances I gave this place, I finally understand the rating. read more

My wife tried to walk in on a Saturday and they said no physicians work at the location on Saturday. So we made an appointment for Sunday. They scheduled her for 3:30pm. We arrived early as instructed to do on the confirmation text she received. When we arrive they took my wife to back quickly. But we waited in the back for over an hour before she was seen. This place is so inconsistent. When Holly was here, the care was incredible; she was the ONLY provider who ever cared. And now that we're still in an ongoing disabling level 3 biohazard pandemic, they are no longer requiring masks. WTF. I knew prior to going in my room, that this provider her name was Lynn D. Was not going to really do anything for me. When coming out of the bathroom, I asked which space I was supposed to walk through because I was confused which was the nurses station and where the walkway was. She snapped back meanly and said I do not know what room they put you in. I said oh I know what room I am in, I was just asking where I should be walking. She was unkind and rude from the beginning. Then the provider had it in her head prior to even seeing me that I had Covid and wasn't going to touch me. Because I never had a Covid test. I was diagnosed with pneumonia previously and needed follow up because I am still not feeling well. She did not listen to me, did not address any of my concerns, was not knowledgeable, however just acted like I had boils all over my body and wouldn't come near me. She didn't really look at me. The front staff and triage nurse were wonderful but this provider was a waste of my time and left me needing to go to another location to address my concerns. Wrapping up my visit she didn't even address my concerns, didn't give me a plan, didn't give me any advice, direction etc. seriously a waste of my time. read more

This place is horrible. scheduling patients every ten minutes and making me wait 4 hours in the waiting room judt to not even do any kind of hands on assessment ans prescribe me over the counter meds. I would suggest going ANYWHERE else if you can. They are very inconsiderate with your time and do not care for their patients like they should. The receptionist is very rude and not clear at all on instructions. I guess she thinks you can read minds. My husband went here for a broken foot on his right foot and a torn ACL on his left knee and waited 3 hours and was never seen because the receptionist wasn't clear on anything and had him checked in. I just took my daughter here because, I am pretty sure she has strep they sent us the paperwork online but it wasn't going though so I told her, she rudely handed me the paperwork to fill out so I did then she yelled at me for not filling out the stuff that WASNT highlighted so I took the paperwork back and then after all this ( we had called and scheduled an appointment 3 hours before and had been waiting) she decides to tell us that they don't accept our insurance even though we have been seen there before. I have never been treated so poorly as a patient. The aggressiveness and rudeness is of the chart. The PA wouldn't let me get a word in while he ran through things I've done to help myself. As I complained about a for pain, his demeanor changed and it was so apparent is wasted his time. I told him to just forget it, I could see it was making him angry. The Nurse Practitioner was cold and had a dismissive attitude. She took two seconds and declared that I needed to drink more water, that I have a lot of sinus pressure and that I have allergies. She never asked how much water I drink just kept asserting that I don't drink enough. I have seasonal allergies and know what that is like for me, this is not it. I have been sick for a week and currently have no voice and can't stop coughing. I do not have any sinus pressure but my neck and shoulders do hurt. My chest hurts from coughing and wheezing. I'm unable to go to work due to lack of voice and my cough. She did not care. I'm also suffering from ear aches but that is because of the allergies, according to her. Her entire attitude was "I know better then you" she did not bother to listen to me or care. I will not be returning here. read more

Rude employees. This place needs a serious customer service training. Especially the front desk! I don't know her name cause she doesn't even have a badge on. She has tattoos on her arms. I occasionally go here for my covid test and she's has the same attitude everytime. One time they said they will call me from my car. I left my phone at home I was assuming they will give me a sign that they're ready for me like what she did for the lady next to my car. Nope. I was waiting in my car for a long time, and I was parked literally by the door and there wasn't a lot of cars in the parking lot for her to give the courtesy to let me know that it's my turn. read more

I went in for a Covid test. The tech that did my triage was lovely. The healthcare provider was hard to understand, didn't speak loud enough and wouldn't look me in the eye, when I asked her to repeat herself she seemed bothered. Her solution was for me to take a test, get the results in 2 days but by then the medication wouldn't be effective, so I was told to go home, take a test and if positive call them so I can get the medicine I need. I was in tears, the supervisor came and was very kind but there was nothing she could do. Why should I take my own test to get medicine? The Dr. should have a logical resolution than what I was given. When I initially refused the Covid test, because what is the point, in 2 days it won't matter.....she chastised me stating people are dying and yet, I can't even get medicine. I just agreed to the test so that I could get out of there as quickly as I could. I came home and did a test and wouldn't you know it, it's positive. They didn't care if I got relief, they're more interested in knowing if I need a note for my work, not getting me well. Lynn Devlin should go back to medical school. read more

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE...LITERALLY! I hold a graduate degree in microbiology and have years of experience in the medical field. I went to Nextcare Urgent Care because, as a new resident of ABQ, it has been impossible to get an appointment with a primary care physician and my pain had become severe. I expected to be seen by a professional, who was knowledgable, and listened to me. What I got was a person who did not listen to me, who said Nextcare was not set up to diagnose me (I understand that and appreciate her honesty) yet she went on to (pseudo) diagnose me, give me advice on her guess as to my problem, and judge me. She should have stopped with, "We are not set up to diagnose you." Besides, if they can't diagnose, the only reason they had me come in was so they could get paid. When you make an appt, they ask why you are coming in. I said severe abdominal pain. They should have said right then that they were not able to diagnose, do bloodwork, do any radiology. Without those tools available, what did they think they were going to do? I WANT MY MONEY BACK! She judged me and jabbered at me about wearing a mask, even though hers was a joke of protection, and without hearing or understanding my situation one bit. She is extremely Judgmental. That has no place in a health care facility. It's abuse. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! Irene presents herself as all-knowing, yet admittedly knew nothing, because Nextcare was not set up to diagnose. She presented herself as an expert in my condition, but she couldn't diagnose my condition, so what was she doing? I can guess the problem much better than she anyway because I have lived with my body for 68 years and she has seen me, on the surface, for 5 min. So if all I get is a guess, I WANT MY MONEY BACK! The best thing she did was refer me to the emergency room. But the SMARTEST thing to do is skip the 7+ hour wait in an emergency room, running the risk of being exposed to COVID 19 at the age of 68, and go straight to a gastroenterologist, which I did. That's what she should have advised. Or better yet, she could have discussed options with me. But nope. She obviously is not aware that sending an elderly patient to an Emergency Room is extremely risky is the best conditions, and might be a death sentence since we are locked down due to COVID 19. Is she NOT aware? Does she not know what is healthy and not healthy? I dare say I'm smarter than Irene. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! She's tryingto kill me. Nextcare Urgent Care has Patients' Rights posted on the wall. Be sure you Ask for a copy if you go in because they won't offer you a copy. Then compare those rights with the care given by Irene Gohr who does not listen to her patients, who judges rather than helps ("Well, if you listened to the news everyday at 12......and if you listened to the governor every day, you would know where to get a mask. You could make one out of a t-shirt, you could make one out of a sheet,..........") Irene's soap-box rants have no place in a health care office. She did not ask me if I was capable of making a mask. She just assumed I could and should. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! I paid for nothing more than abuse and extremely erroneous and bad advise. She doesn't know that without a filter in a protective mask, without washing it between visits to every new patient and new store, house, or building, without eye protection, and if using a material that cannot be disinfected often, the mask you are wearing is just for show. As a healthcare professional, she should know that. And if I tell her I haven't been able to find a mask, she should help me find one, not judge me and attack me. She could have given me one, but she chose to chew me out instead. And I paid for this abuse? I WANT MY MONEY BACK! I understand viruses and bacteria. I autoclaved and sterilized surgical instruments and equipment for years. Irene needs more training. If you want good medical care, dignity, respect, and proper treatment, skip Nextcare Urgent Care, and run from Irene Gohr FNP. She is not in the business of helping people. (Maybe if you have a sliver that needs to be removed or a skinned knee. Better bring your own band-aid, though.) read more

Made an appointment last night for an appointment at 8:00 am. It was confirmed and I received the confirm your appointment text. I confirmed and went to the appointment. I did the online check-in. Their system allowed me to do everything. At 8:00 I went to the door to go in and there was a sign on the door stating that they were closed for the day!!! I get that things happen but how about a little customer service? They could have blocked the appointments so no one could make an appointment, had someone be there to tell people in person, left a telephone number of the closest alternative location or had someone monitoring their appointment system and calling people with appointments!!! THEY DIS NOTHING! This location is terrible-- this is not the first time they have done something like this. The only positive thing they have going is the video appointments (which were full). Wake up nextcare-- this is no way to treat people or to run a business! People deserve better-- especially if they are I'll or injured! read more

Honestly I know urgent cares aren't the best places to go to in the first place I knew they were going to prescribe me medication for my pain but the practitioner I saw literally took less than 2 minutes to exam me didn't tell me what she thinks is going on or anything. She seemed super bugged when I went back in to ask questions then hops on her cell phone to take a call which seemed so much more important than anything and then proceeds to tell the person on the other line "oh it's a Sunday and I have the flu." Why are you even here!? You don't want to treat patients. She was so rude and literally didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. Get out of the health care business if you don't want too help people lady. But I will say the receptionist was so nice and patient I wish I would have gotten her name. They take walk ins and online appointments that's really shouldn't even be excepted , first come first serve, I was two of the first people in and waited over two hours because they were taking back appointments that were made on line, and two of the other online appointments were late but still excepted before me I would not recommend this urgent care read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. First of all, there are no doctors there, only nurse practitioners. The first time I went there, they prescribed me a antibiotic that was so severe I had a horrible reaction and was out of work for two days. No one bothered to tell me to take probiotics along with the antibiotic. I don't know why I went back to this ridiculous place, but I did, and this time they said if the medication didn't work to call back and they would prescribe something different. Of course the medication didn't work, and when I went to call back, they didn't bother getting back with me for two weeks. It took seven phone calls for them to tell me that I needed to come back in to be reevaluated. No thanks folks, I actually care about my health, unlike you. On top of the horrible medical treatment, the customer service is pathetic. I don't need any more eye rolls or dirty looks from the girls at the front desk. Thanks, tho! read more

I arrived at 1:05 to get my sons sports physical. I checked in online and at the time it said 0 people waiting. I thought it was going to be quick. I saw a few people go in. An hour later, I'm still waiting. I'm seeing all the people that went in when I arrived now leave. I checked the wait list and it said 3 people in front and me. Which confused me if everyone was leaving. Finally, at 220 I got a text to go into the office. I thought we were finally going to be seen. The nurse checked my sons weight, height & vision. Then we were told to wait again. An hour later, I had enough and we walked out. It was 315 when we finally left. People that arrived after me and were parked next to me were gone. No one was in the waiting room either. I don't get the delay if we were next in line why does it take so long. I can understand if there were 20 people ahead but when we got called into the office it said zero ahead of us. I would never ever recommend going to this urgent care if you value your time. This was the worst experience and a complete waste of time. I didn't get the physical done and they wanted to me to pay for a service we didn't get. An awful experience all around. It doesn't deserve one star. read more
