Visited urgent care for sinus issues related to my allergies. I'd been battling a cough for more than 3 weeks. I scheduled an appointment on their website, which is my preference. You can walk in, but I always prefer to book when I can. The staff was welcoming. The NP, Rebecca Kirkley, was awesome. If I could see her all the time, I would. She listened to what I was describing, as well as my lungs and heart. She was thorough in her explanations of the medications I should and shouldn't take, along with the why behind them. Front desk was kind and helpful. I called at 10am on a Sunday morning. I was booked for 3:20pm in the afternoon. I did all my paperwork online. I received a confirmation and then 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment I got a text reminding me to "Be On Time". After checking in and sitting in the lobby at my appointed time I waited 30 minutes without seeing a doctor but they wanted my money. I then found out they were running an hour and a half behind. The poor lady with a 2:40pm appointment was still in the lobby at 3:50. It's time that medical offices respect people's time. I'm okay if you're running late just tell me. Don't send me a text saying "hustle up" and then leave me to languish in the waiting room. It's just poor business practice. read more

Extremely frustrated. The provider stated she would send in a prescription for antibiotics and failed to do so. Now they are telling me there's nothing they can do because she doesn't return to that clinic for 4 days. I reluctantly returned to this clinic after having an awful experience last year. I presented with a sinus infection asking for antibiotics as I wasn't able to get an appointment with my pcp. The staff was friendly and courteous, and I did receive a steroid injection, however my main objective was starting antibiotics and now I'm back to square one. I will not return. read more

Had to stop by here for a minor issue I needed to get checked out. Overall my experience was good, walked in, and luckily there weren't too many ahead of me. So the process was easy, the receptionist was helpful and answered my questions and verified my insurance before I filled out the paperwork to make sure everything would go smoothly. I got back fairly quickly once I got on the check in list, so I can't speak on other days/wait times. But I feel like when you go to urgent cares you always have to expect a wait. However this one also lets you book an appointment online, not sure if that speeds up the process. Dr Evelin, was so wonderful and pleasant, she eased my nerves and anxiety and was so calming and explained everything to me and answered my questions. The only thing I didn't love about being here, is that I was in a front room that was right near the reception and front door, but it wasn't a closed door room, it just had a curtain (like at a hospital). So I didn't appreciate having to talk about my health and personal issue in there where anyone and everyone could hear me. Luckily nobody else was there that day, but still not a good practice for HIPAA and just personal reasons. I'd return if needed mostly because of Dr. Evelin and how quickly they got me taken care of. read more

Avoid this clinic at all costs. After I consulted telemedicine, the telemedicine physician advised that I should go to an urgent care as I would undoubtedly zomit any prescribed medication and need an IV for medication and dehydration. So waiting well after the appointment time, I was sent to a nurse who asked what I needed (already put that in the intake). When I described the telemedicine physician's explanation, the nurse cut me off saying "we don't do IVs here. At an urgent care clinic? Scheduled for 11:40am was not seen until 12:30pm. Pre-appointment paperwork link was not texted to me prior to my appointment. Arrived 10min early, front desk asst texted the link; upon realizing she didn't sent prior to appt. 2nd client l(scheduled for 12pm) seen before me. After waiting 20+min I'm back at the counter, the clerk says "oh, you haven't been seen yet?" Meaning, she forgot I was there. I asked to be rescheduled. She ensured I'd be seen. The MA calles me back, no apology, does not acknowledge me. Just took my vitals, her back turned to me the whole time, entering data. No customer service at all. Conclusion: Refund; as I was not willing to wait additional 5-10min for care. read more

Reading these reviews, I can see I'm not alone. Making an appointment does not affect when you will be seen. It functions on a first come first serve basis. The appointment is just a deception to get you in the room. As a physician, this strikes me as poor patient care and poor human compassion. It reeks of corporate greed. All the other comments along these lines are followed by a Customers Service saying, "We sorry you had a negative experience. We strive to blah blah blah." I do not want an apology. Misty M. the nurse who took my daughter's vitals and gave her injections did not present herself as a licensed medical professional in either her attitude, actions or her healthcare practices. She cursed, tossed items and was utterly unprofessional. She openly made multiple highly inappropriate jokes about my daughter's sex life and made her and her boyfriend very uncomfortable. But the main reason I chose to file a complaint stems from unsanitary practices demonstrated by Misty M. She carried the 2 syringes in the room in her ungloved hands and proceeded to lay them on an unsanitized surface in the exam room. After looking through various drawers and leaving the exam room, Misty returned with a container of bandaids that she proceeded to dump into a drawer. Without using hand sanitizer, washing her hands, or putting on gloves, while using my daughter's back as her tray table, Misty then gave her 2 injections and rubbed each site with her unwashed, unsanitzed, ungloved fingers. According to the CDC, one of the most important precautions in safe injection practice is, "Always use aseptic technique when preparing and administering injections" and "reflects the minimum standards that healthcare personnel should follow to prevent transmission of infections in healthcare settings." Sadly, Misty M. didn't demonstrate ANY standards, and I can only hope my daughter is not adversely affected by her lack of her unsafe injection practices. read more

I visited this location on January 20 because of a cut on my forehead that I needed checked out. The receptionist greeted me immediately and asked if I had an appointment. Sadly, I hadn't planned on needing stitches so had not made an appointment. I completed the paperwork but had to wait to be seen until all the patients ( five or six) who had called ahead and were put on the waiting list, were seen. Note to self: next time, call ahead! The nurse, Jacqueline, who examined me was kind and took care not to hurt me. I needed stitches after all, so I was taken to the procedure room. The doctor, Evelyn, was very nice and took the time to answer my many questions. Three stitches later, I was sent on my way with discharge instructions and a prescription for an antibiotic. Don't come here they did mistake and never take care of it. The doctor did wrong test with Quest when I called for the results she didn't have the one she did wrong and she told me don't have to worry about it.. my husband heard that so he asked them so you did the wrong test then she said yes but we will talked to quest will not bill that one to you.. but I got the bill with that wrong test. I brought that paper to their office twice and they said they already fixed it but I got the bills from Quest still the same amount. read more

This is the 3rd time I have booked an appointment with this urgent care because it is close to my house. This is the 3rd time walk-ins were taken before I was called back. Today I waited, with an appointment, for 1 hour and 20 minutes while they took one after another walk-ins back to be seen. When I asked why they were being seen before me a flippant, unconcerned front desk employee said "well we have to see them too". I even called the 800 number before I left to ensure that an appointment meant just that - I had an appointed time to be seen. I will never go back again and the 2 other women who left when I did (and also had appointments) said they would never be back again either. Made an appointment because I sprained my ankle. I was there for 2 hours. Saw the doctor at the beginning of the appointment when she ordered an X-Ray but that was the last time I saw her. The last person I saw was a nurse who came in to but on a ankle brace. She was actually nice but I still don't know what I'm supposed to do about my ankle. The only answer I got was when I asked the nurse if it was broken and all she said was no. Finally just walked out after sitting in the room for 40mins while listening to the DOCTOR crack jokes the outside my exam room door the entire time. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. Took the family here to get tested for Covid because we were going for a short visit to see a relative who is not in good health. You'll have results in three to five days they advised. Great, plenty of time before we leave. Well we've called over and over and get the same response... we'll call you when the results are in. Two weeks later, yes 14 days and still no call. We've made the trip and are already back. Something must have been mixed up over there. We've used them before when in a pinch and they have always provided good service. read more

The nurse practitioner came in the room and didn't even introduce herself. She was horribly rude. Treated me with condescension (and I have a background in medicine, plus I have an extensive medical history and I know my own body). She literally had me in tears. I had to ask who she was, because she literally didn't even say her name. I still don't know her name. She asked me a question and as I was trying to answer it she had started to listen to my chest and barked at me to stop talking; that I was blowing her ears out. She had me so befuddled I couldn't even think of one of the medicines I'm allergic to or other medicines I've used for the condition I was being seen for. i don't like to tell what my background in medicine is as a rule, because I don't want to be treated differently. I want to see how they treat the average patient. Well, this was a horrific experience. I want to add, though, that the front office staff and the medical assistant were very nice, but treatment comes down to either the physicians, PAs, or nurse practitioner. Honestly, I wish they gave us a choice, as I prefer working with a medical doctor. read more

I made an appointment online for 12:30. I arrived at 12:20 and was given paperwork to fill out. I waited about 10 minutes and was taken back into a room. I then waited an hour in the patient room for someone to see me. No one came to check on me or give me any updates as to when a doctor would come see me. When the doctor finally came she was as sweet as can be. Nothing like my last visit! I don't remember how to pronounce her name but her last name started with an S. She was so kind and actually listened when I talked. She checked me over and gave me her diagnosis. It was exactly what I expected which made me feel better. She gave me a prescription for an antibiotic and sent me on my way. I called my pharmacy 2 hours later to check on the prescription. They said they hadn't received anything. I called PrimaCare and the receptionist said she would have the doctor call it in again. I told her the location of my pharmacy just to be sure they had the right location. I waited an hour then called my pharmacy. Still nothing. I called PrimaCare back and they were closed. So I basically paid to be given a diagnosis and no way to heal that illness because I couldn't get my antibiotics. I wish I could write a better review of this place because the doctor was so kind. But wait times are horrible and the fact that they don't call in prescriptions really makes it worse! read more

I was AMAZED how clean an organized the entire place was. I loved being able to make an appointment and then noticed no one was waiting so I headed over 20 minutes early and I was greeted and taken back in 5 minutes. Dr Evelyne IMah was so paying attention to my situation. If I ever get to feeling bad again, this PrimeaCare on Plano Parkway will be my go to place. This location charged $623.00 to tell my son's girlfriend she had strep throat! She doesn't have medical insurance and my son paid for it! They charged $350.00 just for the initial visit, $75.00 for Covid test, which are FREE, $88.00 for a strep test, and $110.00 for 2 Flu Rapid tests?!? I would NEVER return to this clinic!!! After a tumble over the weekend, I woke the next day to a swollen knee the size of a grapefruit! I called PrimaCare. Over the phone, they were helpful, knowledgeable and answered all my crazy questions. I quickly made a first available appointment to be seen (which happened to be within 40 min). Unfortunately, I waited in the waiting room for nearly hour.... patiently watching a few other people enter and were escorted to the back to be seen (insert gasp here) Once I was taken to the back (where all the magic happens, of course) everyone was helpful and I felt in good hands as the Dr. explained the situation. I went to Primacare Plano on W Plano Parkway to do covid 19 test and antibody test. The nurse told me my antibody test result will be available in 24 hours and the covid 19 test result may take 2 to 6 days. After 24 hours, i called in to check the antibody test result, they told me they didn't have it yet, they will check and call me back. The next day, i called them again, they told me the same and the third days the same thing happened. I asked them why they told me my result will come in 24 hours and now it is already 3 days but i still didn't have it? They said MAY BE THEY WERE TOO BUSY SO THEY MADE MISTAKES BY TELLING ME THAT. They will check and call me back. Really? Are you kidding me??? An urgent care nurse didn't give patients correct information just because they were busy??? There were only 3 people included me at the time and they said TOO BUSY AND MADE MISTAKES??? Updated 1: Today is the 4th day and no one called me back!! Updated 2: i've got my test results after 9 days (they told me it will take 24 hours to have result for the antibody test and 2 to 6 days for the Covid 19 test). No one called me back since the day i went there until the day i got my results by taking the contact of the lab and contacted them directly. Terrible customer service!!! read more

No just no. The nurse was very sweet she was very patient with my daughter. The doctor said she didn't know what was wrong with my daughters foot. It could be a sprain or a bug bite. Wrapped it in gauze and sent us on our way. She really didn't go into detail or care to really answer my concerns. I wasn't please with the diagnosis and my daughter was in extreme pain. We went to the ER at Children's Hospital and they found out my daughter fractured her leg. Save yourself the money and go somewhere else. read more

I have gone to this same place to get my physical for Boy Scouts for years and it has always been great. Not this time! We were in there for 2 ours and the doctor would not sign off on my physical. They also have a mask policy as posted on the doors, but none of the staff wore a mask. Very disappointed. Will not be going back. read more
