Normally they're pretty good here. Wait time isnt horrendous, especially if you schedule an appointment, staff is generally friendly, or at least professional, practioners are thorough. The only complaint I have is they are not great at sending in prescriptions. Usually this isnt an issue, I just call the clinic and they ship it over to my pharmacy within half an hour. This time was very different. I went there yesterday with an appointment time of 1, for a sore throat. Tested positive for strep, and was told they'd ship over an antibiotic prescription. I was very sick, and went home after the appointment, because I couldnt stay awake. I woke up this morning, and went to my pharmacy just after they opened, about 930am. No prescription. I call the office and am told the practioners are busy, and will get back to me. I call an hour later, same story. I call 2 hours later, same story. I call again around 4:30 in the afternoon, and the lady says she'll look into it and get back to me. It's been almost 20 minutes, and still no call back. Im at my wits end. read more

This location is a Lovelace now, beware "SPORTS PHYSICAL CHARGED INCORRECLY!! Took my son for their $35 flat rate sports physical. Paid upfront but I ended up getting a bill in the mail for over $200. I called and they said they would send it back for review. The next month I got another bill in the mail. I called again and they could not answer me why I keep getting charged. I called a 3rd time and again they said they would send it back for adjustment. Now I got a collections letter. Terrible. My son had an appointment on Sunday to get an X-ray. They confirmed the appointment knowing what we needed and we showed up on time but they said that they didn't have anyone to do the X-ray so we rescheduled for today. This morning 15 minutes before his rescheduled appointment, they called and said "sorry, but someone called in so you can't have your appointment." I got there and I wasn't able to be seen even though the entire room was empty and it said 1 patient ahead and that they accept walk-ins online. This place is a joke! I am so angry! I initially thought this place was outstanding. Great reception, clean, etc. Have an excruciatingly painful infection of some sort. They took a swab, I was told it'd be 2-3 days for the results. Called repeatedly on day two, no answer. Called on day three, and was told the results were in and the provider needed to look at them. My husband was told to go to urgent care because we moved from out of state and he was out of meds and couldn't see a dr. Dr's offices were so backed up they wouldn't even sched us for a visit, told us we had to wait til they called us with an opening. We went to urgent care to get is Rx. Insurance required a pre-authorization which they would not provide-Next Care told us they don't provide pre-authorizations. So the visit was a waste of time and money. They told us they would issue a refund. After months of going back and forth with them over the phone we were eventually told they were not going to issue a refund because he was treated. I came here with a severe pain in my leg. A pinched nerve, I think. They didn't even look or ask about my leg. They said my blood pressure was too high. What does my blood pressure have to do with looking at my leg??? They told me I had to go to the emergency room. Screw that.... NP Bellisaro was so rude, told my daughter if the symptoms she was having were true shed be dead or in the hospital and they couldn't help her. We walked in, my son is actually crying because he feels so terrible and the woman at the desk tells us, "sorry, the spots for today are full. We can see him tomorrow." After paying my co-pay of $ 50.00 I saw the Dr. for maybe five minutes and he told me there was nothing they could do to go to the emergency room. No tests , no exam no nothing. I WOULD NOT recommend this clinic, very rude and unprofessional. Moved here from out of state and was trying to get a prescription re full. After the day of my consultation they told me they sent the re fill into a local Walgreens. They did not, I went to the Walgreens the following day and the re full amounts were all wrong. Natasha at Urgent care was very rude and disrespectful, she only wanted to place blame and not help resolve the issue. She also would not let me speak or leave a message with her boss, she told me that she was the only person that I would be speaking with and then hung up on me. I'm not doing a review of this medical group. I'm actually looking for a PCP. All the clinic's and medical groups reviews I've read for the last few hours. I still have not found one I feel I will be taken care of properly. Reading the responses here from the staff/management I'm dismayed that my search will be a long one and feel there is no one who can treat me for my health issues. The responses are dismissive and cold. Responses seem to be set on auto response with a scripted reply. Everyone gets the same reply. No real human interaction. I feel if they were to care about people and their care they would reach out to all these people who need help instead of the condescending "oh I'm sorry, call us". You're are dismiss! Everyone gets the same reply. We are not being heard because we don't matter to them as humans we matter to them as $$$$$$$!!!! We are suffering with not much hope in sight. God bless all who just want to be well and live life like we are supposed to. Without pain and sickness. Jesus help us! My currant provider Oak St Health is a joke! I do not recommend them for elderly on Medicare I don't know why AARP backs them. My meds are not refilled on time takes longer than 2 weeks to get refills. Forget results on blood work or tests. I have been here a couple times and am usually seen quite quickly. With Covid, there's a bit of a wait. I suggest making an appointment online (just go to their site), that way you have less of a wait. I waited 30 minutes which is nothing compared to those who were walk ins (2 hour + wait today). I was taken back and the basics were done, temp, blood pressure, etc. and then I was taken to another room to await the provider. They sent him to another urgent care! Which could not take him because he did not have an appointment. Now he has nowhere to go. I went in with an infection on my big toe Dr who's name is Laura comes into the exam room asked me to remove my sock and shoe she glanced at it and said it's infected I will send antibiotics to your pharmacy I tried asking questions and she asked me to wait in the lobby for my discharge instructions I proceeded tell her that that was really fast and she barks I SAID WAIT IN THE LOBBY!! After an urgent care visit for which a full co-pay was collected from me, (in itself the visit was probably about as pleasant as an urgent care visit can be, so good job to the drs and nurses), NextCare decided to back-bill me for less than $20 that their insurance contract with New Mexico True Health wouldn't pay. Since this is an unethical billing practice, I let them know I was disputing the charge and in response, they sent the less than $20 charge to collections. Which will now be sought indefinitely, regardless of the status of the dispute, because collections agencies are also unethical af. So thanks, NextCare. Hopefully this review helps others avoid your poor and immoral billing practices. read more

I checked in for my 11:30 am appointment 15 minutes early and was put in a room relatively quickly . After over an hour I was finally seen the NP Dawn . It appears the Rio Rancho location is under staffed . Dawn is the only provider on site and the waiting room is backed up. They actually had to send patients to other locations otherwise the wait was going to be over an hour This is appalling and a management issue . Something needs to be done so this facility is staffed with right number of providers . The poor NP was Doing her best to keep up . read more

We went here over a week ago. Both my daughter and had a sore throat and cough to the point we both lost our voice. My daughter had pink eye as well..the only test the dr. Was a covid test but it wasnt rapid. We have covid tests at home..they were all negative for covid. Even though my cough is better...i still have a sore throat my daughter still has a cough. We were not tested for flu..guess cuz we never ran a fever...not tested for strep...today I'm pretty sure i have a sinus infection. My daughter missed her first week of school. But I'm sure they will get paid quite well from my Insurance...for doing basically nothing and we are both still sick. Will never go there again. read more

I went in there this morning to have an injured finger looked at. They told me it would be 3 to 4 hours though there was no one in the waiting room. Then we find out the truth. Apparently testing for Covid is more important than seeing people who are injured. They told me they could get me in. She kept telling me anytime now any minute now we'll be taking you back. I waited an hour and a half and then she came over and told me it was going to be 3 to 4 hours. My appointment would have taken probably all of three minutes to do. All they had to do was look at my finger tell me if it was infected or not and give me a prescription if it was . They honestly could have done it in the waiting room . To top it off they took someone back that came in after I did. I used to like NextCare but I'm not so sure anymore. The girls were nice but more attentive to each othet than giving people the information they needed. I don't know if I'll go back. I told her to give me my money back which she did and I'm going to another urgent care tomorrow.My guess is they make a lot more money doing Covid tests than they do seeing sick and injured people. How sad. How very sad. If you are really sick or really injured I wouldn't be going here. As for the covid-19 tests that they are so enhanced with oh, they are booked to four days out. I got there and checked in 15 minutes before my appointment time, which was 1p. Shortly after I got a text saying that they were ready to see me. I go inside and proceed to sit there and wait another 1 hour! I was supposed to be next. I asked the girl at the front, who was really quite rude about the whole thing! After getting called back, I waited another 1.5 hours for the provider to see me. Total time, WITH AN APPT., 3 freakin hours!!!! I was seen due to abscess/cyst on neck quite painful & swollen. Nurse practitioner did NOT drain cyst - only prescribed antibiotic and stated I apply moist warm towel so cyst would eventually drain on it's own...NOT I had to go to another urgent care (Duke City Urgent Care) the next day due to pain and intense swollen........Dr on call there, stated cyst should have been drained at Next Care on my initial visit. I went in pretty sure that I had a blood clot in my leg, the doctor did not think I had one and said it's a sprain!!! I said I've had one before and this is similar to it. He said he'd get me a ultrasound just in case and for peace of mind great I appreciate that.. , so I drove across town had the procedure done at the specialist and turned out that I had in fact a blood clot which they told me before I left. Urgent did not notify me until 7 PM when the test was done by 10 Am. The doctor put me on a starter pack of thinners for meds, the pharmacy did not have any in stock and would not have any in stock for over a week I went in the next morning to ask them to get my meds changed over from the starter pack to just the same pills minus the cardboard insert known as the starter pack. they made me wait another entire day before they called the pharmacy back. these are meds that I need to be taking for something serious!!! and they couldn't even do that for me. after multiple calls and even driving up to the clinic to ask them to call the pharmacy. A day and a half later I'm still waiting on my meds and can't get any help from the urgent care staff because they are busy. Getting more people in the door is the priority rather than making sure the people they have already seen are taken Care of when they didn't do their part in the first place. I get it if it's a cold or a cough. But something serious such as a dvt blood clot is probably something that shouldn't be put on the back burner. Patients are numbers to this business and Nothing more. Very frustrating to say the least. read more

Had an appt for 1140. Checked in. Asked about wait. "I have my 11:20 and then you". Perfect. 3 different people go in before me and I say when am I being seen and she says ma'am your check in time is not an appointment. I said yes it was an hour ago and 3 people have gone back before me. Rolled her eyes said I'm not gonna argue with you and sat down. Terrible service. Understand that everyone is short staffed. They don't do IV fluids. No point in going there if you have nausea and vomiting and need to be hydrated. Told the person at the check-in desk that that is what my MD told me to go in for and she didn't say anything. Waited to be seen before anyone told me this important bit of info. Lesson learned: call ahead to see if they do IV fluids. Other urgent care offer IV fluids or ERs. read more

I wouldn't give even 1 star if that was an option. The staff was fine and the facility seemed clean. However, the care and consideration I received from the doctor was basically nonexistent. I went in for an ear infection and swollen glands and terrible vertigo. The doctor looked in ONE ear and didn't even examine my glands. Then he ordered a strep test. Told me to see my primary, which I didn't have at that time and is why I went to urgent care. By the time I got established with a new primary it had been more than 3 weeks at which time she put me on antibiotics, set me up for physical therapy for the vertigo and sent me a referral to an ENT. Called in to their "call center" twice today and never given confirmation my needs are being take care of. The wait times are awful to talk to a rep, you don't talk to the clinic and at this point I still don't know if my prescription is being called in. I paid an expensive copay for urgent care and got crap service. I am in pain, no medication to help due to their negligence in sending my pharmacy what they need.
