Other than the front desk I would say the doctors don't have the best bedside manner. They are very cold with their interaction with me. When I went in the wait was extremely long to get called to the back (30 minutes) and then after vitals I waited another 45 minutes before the doctor came to see me. Then they had to do a couple of tests and in between waiting for the nurse to administer the test, get the results, and doctor to see me it was another 45 minutes. I eventually did a video consultation with a nurse practitioner the next day and she was able to actually prescribe medications that would actually help. Not coming to this location again. read more

This is by far the fastest Urgent Care I've ever visited. Both times I've been here, I was literally in and out in less than an hour. The first time I came to this place, I did have an issue finding the building. A quick search led me to the shopping center where it's located. But since it was dark outside and the windows are tinted, and the lettering on the building doesn't light up... I drove around a bit struggling to find it. But once inside, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and ready to help. read more

It's no wonder why you have so many one-star reviews. Two days ago, I visited NextCare for an exam and was informed by the attending doctor that I needed an X-ray. However, when I went to the X-ray facility the following day, I was told there was no order on file. I returned to NextCare to sort it out, only to be told that it was my fault because I had supposedly declined the X-ray. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I received ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE service at the Petroglyph NextCare Urgent Care in Albuquerque, NM. It was literally the worst care I've ever experienced in my life. I went in about 3:30PM on Saturday, Feb. 13, to be seen for an extreme reaction to the skin under my eyes. A lash tinting spa had placed sticky pads under my eyes during g the procedure, which could not be removed because the adhesive stuck like cement. When they finally got them off, the skin under my eyes swelled and buckled horribly. A nurse came in, asked me what happened and glanced at my eyes. She told me she would give me a prescription for oral prednisone (a steroid) to counteract the reaction. I asked her if she would write that on something that I could give to the salon, so they could reimburse me for urgent care bill. She refused. She said she would only say my eyes were swollen, but not why. I showed her how the swelling was in the exact shape of the eye pads, but she said, "All I'll say was they're swollen." This upset me and I asked why again, and she walked out, telling me she didn't like my attitude and didn't even know if she'd write me the prescription now. I sat in the lobby waiting for my prescription, and finally asked the receptionist to please get it for me. She went to the back and came back out saying, "She's refusing to write it". I said, "Why not? I obviously need it and she TOLD me I needed it." She would not give me any reason except that, "She didn't like that you demanded that she write what the cause was." This HORRIBLE nurse refused to give me the care that she admitted that I needed, just because she didn't personally like me. I said I would not pay for care that I didn't receive, and the receptionist said, "We'll bill you anyway, and it will go to collections." Do NOT go to this urgent care! Went to UC on 528. Waited 4 hrs to be seen by a very rude NP. She spent 1 minute with me( not a lie, one minute. I expressed my disappointment at desk very quietly ( I'm not a Karen). She came out to the lobby and in front of other patients threatened to not fill my prescription for sinus infection if I was dissatisfied with her care. She was rude and unprofessional. They didn't do an x-ray, misdiagnosed me, spent about 5 minutes with me, and charged me $300. I thought that at least included the brace they gave me, but I just got another bill for that. Slow service and poor customer service. Was seen last week. Went back this week with the same unresolved issue. Had to pay a second co-pay. Then for the privilege of paying twice for the same issue, I also got to wait in line again for hours. That's like missing a burger from your order, having to pay again for the same one, and having to wait in line to get it a second time. Ridiculous. Very poor service as a whole. Everyone was friendly, my nose was swabbed and I was given a prescription along with a doctor's note for being out from work for my illness. Quick and easy even on a Friday! Now they are telling me it will take 5-7 days. The NMDOH only takes 3 days max. They have wasted my time and caused extreme anxiety for me and my family members. Came in today for a wrist injury and ended up having the doctor lecture me on how my injury wasn't "urgent enough" and how too many people are using urgent cares as a matter of convenience. She spent about 1 minute at most looking at my wrist and refused to X-ray it. Yes, there are reviews about how quickly you can be seen there.. but that seemed to be because they want you in and out of there as quickly as possible. I can't say enough good things about the care I received here today. I saw NP Gina Evans and she was fantastic. She was friendly, down to earth, very thorough and didn't treat me like a number or just someone to be rushed out the door so the next patient could come through. She explained everything extremely well and made sure I knew the signs or symptoms that would indicate I'd need to be seen again. Unexplained fever, chills and aches so they did a flu test, negative and a urine sample. There were very small amounts of white blood cells in there so they were sending it for more testing. As I said, very thorough. She went through a list of things that could explain the fever, just to make sure I didn't have symptoms I'd forgotten to tell them. I left reassured that they'd be calling if anything turned up on the urine sample and that I didn't have the flu and that the virus would be gone soon. I've been to this facility probably 4 times in the last 18 months and except for one time, I've always been highly satisfied. read more

This place is a joke if you are seeking employment with them. First off, I am a former employee within the last seven months; I know what I am talking about. Secondly, you will be working your hands to the bone for a facility that does not appreciate its staff. This company laid off people in January 2023 because the company was no longer making enough for the higher ups to have their extravagant paychecks. This company decided to also cut hours of full time employees from 40 hours a week down to 23 hours a week. Expecting them to use their paid time off days and or sick time to carry their hours to 40 hours a week. Obviously I am not posting this under my real name because this company is petty and I do not want to risk retaliation. This company wonders why it cannot keep medical providers-- it is because they burn them out and overwork them. Expecting one provider to see an upwards of 50+ people in a twelve hour time is down right reckless. Do not apply to work at this place! Run far away like everyone that has either been "laid off" aka fired or left because they could not afford to only be working only 23 hours a week and having the entire workload of the facility resting on minimal people! read more

The receptionist wasn't aware that Tetanus and Tdap are pretty much the same thing. She had me go somewhere else. She has no clue what she's doing up front. Both of the receptionist are unaware of what they offer and the prices. I was told tetanus was priced at 25 dollars. I drive from home to the office and get told it's 75 dollars. Came in for flu like symptoms at about 3:10 on a Saturday and wasn't seen by the doctor until about 5pm which is fine. It is flu season and all so I understand waiting. The exact next day my girlfriend was feeling sick with the same symptoms so we brought her at about 11:50 and didn't see the doctor until about 3 pm. Again, understandable due to t being flu season. The difference is for her they did a nose swab and tested for the flu whereas for me a lady came in, no idea if she was a doctor because she didn't introduce herself, and wrote down my symptoms and then prescribed me antibiotics and cough medicine and just left. All she did was listen to me breath and looked in my ears. I understand waiting and all but I don't understand hurrying a patient out without performing the correct tests to make sure they are getting the treatment they need. read more

I hurt my foot pretty bad kicking a bag at my gym. I almost went to an ER , but made the mistake of coming here instead. After looking at my foot their PA, Mr Sambrano sent me straight back to get an X-ray. He said it looked bad and that I should hope that it was only a small fracture which would heal in a few weeks. He never touched or palpated my foot and never asked me about pain or mobility or range of motion. Somehow, however he determined all I would need was a boot And a rediculously expensive version of ibuprofen. Literally, my pharmacist said it's similar to ibuprofen but very expensive!!!?!? Mr Sambrano told me it was a very strong but non narcotic pain killer. I hobbled over to the pharmacy and got it. After taking it I got very dizzy and tired. It didn't even touch the pain. Ibuprofen had taken the edge off, but this only made me dizzy and sped up my heart rate which were indeed, common side effects. Having work and other responsibilities, I couldn't put up with dizzy and tired so I called back to request a different painkiller. By the way, I'm not stupid and realize there are drug seekers out there, so I never asked for a narcotic, just to speak to the Dr/PA about trying something else. I had to call the office 4 times and acted like they had no responsibility towards me after I had visited them hours earlier. I was finally given another prescription. By this point I got mad and did ask why they were not offering a narcotic painkiller and Sambrano stated he categorically does not prescribe them. I went to the pharmacy to pick it up and the pharmacist asked why I'm getting the "same class of NSAID as the one I'd gotten earlier in the day?!?!? Guess what? It was also more expensive. 5 days later my foot is still in pain but I'm doing okay on my Costco bulk ibuprofen. I wouldn't let this clinic touch my dead cat! The wait time was less than 15 minutes ( that included paperwork) and the we were in an out in about 45 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful! I have never been treated so terribly by a medical professional in my life. I feel like I have been mentally and pyscologically abused in a time of confusion and need. The provider that had seen me told me that "people like me, that abuse the urgent care system, are the reason insurance won't pay for things. I needed to have a primary care physician (which I hadn't been assigned to yet) The provider treated me so poorly based on the fact that I was being seen on Medicare, and didn't have a PCP. I was at a loss for words. I'm a single mother of one, working full time, not someone "leaching" off public resources.... the provider didn't even test me for issue I was there being seen for. The only two benefits of this place was the speed and the fact I was given a prescription. Other than that the reception staff, and the triage nurse were very nice of course and very attentive.. Here's the downside. Doctor obviously hates his outpost and doesn't care what you think about his ill will towards his current situation. I had mentioned I had two (2) ailments to the receptionist, and the triage nurse. When my consultation with the doctor about my infected paramychia left index finger ended and I was told no drainage was needed and to just wait til it disappears as I take the doxycycline, I asked him about my cold/flu and he rudely advised me he can only treat one a patient per visit. It seems that he was very tired of treating urgent care patients because every question I asked was a typical rude doctor response of "obviously" or dooming outcomes of "well you don't take the meds then you lose your finger" because I had said this is why I don't come into urgent care because it isn't very intimate. Next time ill just try to see my PCP instead. If you have something the doctors don't have to work very hard on like a simple cold then urgent care is for you.. Waste of time. They just checked my stats and said can't do nothing for you. Your primary has to refer you and if we test for anything insurance probably wont pay for it. The girls at the front desk are very nice, but the rest of the staff blah. So wasted my time and who knows how much they charge for insurance to just check my temp and heartbeat. read more

Worst urgent care I ever went to! Don't get me wrong the ladies at the front desk were nice besides a new one that kept staring at me with an ugly look on her face. I got in, a young boy very friendly took my vitals, swabbed my throat to see if I had strep.. he didn't really stick the q-tip in my throat it was on my tung. I didn't really care anyways cause I was think no way I don't have strep. I've had strep before and it didn't quite feel like symptoms of strep. Maybe I had a cold or the flu maybe also an ear infection. Plus I didn't really want to be mean to him because the ladies at the front desk seemed to be giving him a hard time as it was. So I let that go.. the they took me to the back room where I was seen by some doctor named Steven Sambrano who basically rushed me out only spent about one minute with me, touched my neck and forehead and bam I was magically diagnosed with allergies.. WTF I've never even had allergies and I informed him of that too and still didn't want to take a better look at me and said he was 99% positive is was allergies or he wanted to sounds smarter and say "upper repository infection" . So this dumb dumb of a doctor tell me I should go get some Mucinex D from behind the counter and some tea.. I was like that's it? I have really bad ear pain you can't prescribe me something for that? & he was so sure of himself that said no I'm sure it's just allergies and it's will go away with the Mucinex D.. so I'm like okay maybe he's right.. three days go by and I'm spitting up blood, my ear is in the worst pain of life, I have a fever, cough and my lung hurt really bad, can't seem to breath and woke up every thirty mins to spit or cough. So I finally got fed up. I went to one of the local hospital and bam, they told me within 30mins I had tonsillitis and an ear infection. No allergies. The doctor was willing to listen to my concerns and even helped me with my ear pain..which doctor Steven didn't even want to do. NEXTCARE YOU SUCK! And I will never be returning.. I come in to urgent care right away so they can give me the shot that has ALWAYS helped me get better. I checked in online and still had to wait over an hour to get seen. Then the Dr Lynn something comes in super rude with an attitude and I tell her what they done every time I've had strep and she's like "I'm not giving you that shot, steroids are bad and i don't care if it makes you feel better you're just going to have to wait it out." I was like excuse me? I know what makes me and my body feel good I'm obviously not addicted to steroids. I haven't had a steroid shot in 7 years!! And it's for my strep?! She still said she doesn't care that she refuses to give me any medicine now. I'm like I can't wait I have stuff to do that's why I came in right away!! She's like "o well sorry don't know what to tell you." And walked out of the room. Like are you serious? Why come to the doctor if they're not going to give you something to help you feel better when I'm obviously miserable. I am so furious with wasting my time coming here to basically be accused of being addicted to drugs and not get any sort of treatment. I refuse to ever see this doctor again!!
