For being a Baylor Brand I expected better efficiency or at least correct care. I brought my six month old daughter in for an ear infection, cough, and fever. We saw PA Fakkel after waiting a long time! We rushed over to the pharmacy only to be told that the dosage on her amoxicillin was extremely incorrect. The pharmacist said he wouldn't even give it to his toddler but yet this provider prescribed it to my six month old baby. The pharmacist called the office only for it to be closed. The pharmacist was my angel and my saving grace. He had to re-calculate dosage based on her height and weight. Something that the provider should have done. Instead, I waited at the pharmacy with a screaming baby. I went to this urgent care because original pediatric urgent care was closed, at this rate I'd rather take my daughter to the ER and pay a higher deductible than risk an incorrect medication ever again. read more

Baylor Scott and White Hospital is our favorite Hospital to go to when needed. Always Been Going here for 10 years now. They are Very caring, Honest, Trustworthy Plus the staff are incredible. Especially "Kim" in the Radiology Department. She is Absolutely The best in the Business. She's definitely a Breath of fresh air To Deal with too. I've gone to this urgent care 4 or 5 times over the years, and they're always kind, attentive, and, well, urgent. I never wait there more than a few minutes past my appointment time. Really like being able to schedule via the web or app. I tend to get a couple of sinus infections a year, and they are always focused on treatment that will get me well quickly. I don't like going to urgent care. Or er. Or really any doctor, because, I have systemic lupus, and it's a very complicated disease. No two patients are the same, but yet they treat us like we are all just making stuff up, or it's not our lupus. So, after 5 people, one being a nurse, tells me "you need to go to urgent care" I'm like...Here we go, to the circus. Of yet another doctor, who will dismiss, not listening to me. I have lupus outbreaks, that look like shingles, bug bites, blisters etc etc. I have both CLE and SLE (skin lupus-systemic lupus-usually just saying systemic, because skin is your systemic ‍) I make an appt. At this dirty place. At 5:40pm, my husband asked, "can you make it earlier?" I call back, and I ask "is the doctor knowledgeable about systemic lupus, and can I have an earlier appt please?" She put me on hold for a few min. Came back, said "yes" to both. So, cool. Get in the car, drive up there, it's 4:20, and someone gets called before me, I'm like "neat, glad I came at 4:20pm for an appt". Not out loud, but in my head. Soooo, at about 4:50 ish, I get called back. I hear a couple of people just shooting the crap. Outside in the nurses station area. And I hear someone being really crass, super crass, and I'm like "god, please don't let this be my doctor" duhhhh duuuuuu It's is. She walks in. "Let me see yo bug bite". Ummm it's not a bug bite. There's NO fing indication it's a bug bite, ITS NOT A BUG BITE. I'm here to see if I have a fing infection in my lupus sore on my leg. She's like "ok then it's yo lupus. Aren't you on steroids already?" "No, I'm not, because I'm allergic". "Oh ok" she just rolls her eyes, I'm like "is it infected? Can you please check for infection?" She said "there's nothing to test, there's no oozing or anything to swab" ummm it's called a regular CBC that you can do. To check and see that my WBC isn't skyrocketing. But no, heaven forbid we actually do something that would actually make sense in the medical field. A cbc! No, we aren't going to check you for infection. Even though you're here for a potential infection. She's like "I'll give you antibiotics..." I said "I can't take oral antibiotics, I'm susceptible to cdiff" and rolls her eyes. Leaves room. Just out there talking crap, about me? I dunno, couldn't hear clearly. I've been here well over an hour, I'm irritated, and dismissed as always. So, I walk out and need to use the restroom, and I reiterate "is this infected?" She just was like shrug. Okkkkk. So, come home, cry for about 2 hours, and just go on with life, because doctors really just don't care anymore. They don't listen. They don't have compassion, empathy, kindness, good bedside manner, and I still don't know if I have an infection. Probably just picked up a virus or something due to uncleanliness. I highly suggest going anywhere, but here. I would have rather waited 7 hours at the hospital to get a fing answer, or at least a doctor who would listen and get an answer, but let's be honest. They don't care either. I'm waiting for my 8 month wait referral appt to a specialist, but in the mean time, I guess I'll just have to suffer in silence, and I dunno, walk around with an unknown infection. Just living my best life. Where are all the compassionate doctors who actually do their jobs? Not here. Not there. Not anywhere now a days. Like why be a doctor, if you give zero f's about your patients, or helping them figure it out? Isn't that what you get paid for??? It's a joke. Go anywhere, but here. Dunno where to tell you where to go, because no doctor really seems to care anymore. If you're scared you have an infection, definitely do not go here, you're more likely to leave with one, if you didn't go in with one. And you'll just pay for nothing. Pics of my "bug bite". Didn't honor my appointment time. Cost way too much compare to my primary Dr. I made an appointment, showed up early, had already filled out all the paperwork online, and after still not being seen almost 30 minutes past my appointment time they saw a walk in who was no sicker than me. read more

My senior parents came here seeking help and after being treated so poorly they finally left. They told me how unprofessional the staff was. As a nurse and healthcare provider I am sickened by how my parents were treated. Do better and learn some professionalism. read more

I read the reviews here, but that was not our experience. We came in early on a Sunday because they were the only non ER that was open. The staff was friendly, and we were seen very quickly. They diagnosed and treated, and we were out in less than an hour. I'm sure some of that is because it was early on Sunday and we were the first in. Still, they were friendly, both in the front and in the exam. read more

They said by appointment only and come to find out that that was pointless. They set an appointment for my fiancé for 545, 545 comes and goes she still sitting in the waiting room while they taken a couple of other people that came in after her to the back. And this was after waiting for an hour just to get to the appointment time, but they said they had to set for us. This place is a joke and I did not recommend them to anybody. read more

I felt I need to review here since there were so many negative reviews. Folks need to remember that one negative experience with one person at a front desk doesn't make or break their day much less the medical care they receive. I just returned from receiving care there and the receptionist was amazing and friendly, the assistant was kind and helpful and the NP was professional courteous and I received excellent care. I went here 6/14..Prior to coming here I went to ER in Denton. This Nextcare did more for me than ER! I was shocked. Everyone. at Nextcare seem dedicated to make my clinic experience comfortable and No wait time. Dr. Shana Fakkal very upbeat , good listener. Was compassionate to my plight and gave me everything I needed and helped with my issues. Explained thoroughly what to do next. I would recommend this clinic to everyone. Brought my daughter to be seen for a potential broken nose, receptionist told us there was no x ray tech and I said that was fine we just wanted her looked at. The doctor on call flat out refused to even look at her. We were told to find somewhere else to take her. Absolutely atrocious service and you should be ashamed. read more

I went to NextCare at 8 am on Saturday 8/5 and the front desk worker was a rude and uncaring person. She did not say a word to me when I came in even when I said Good Morning to her. She asked if I had an appointment and I told her no, she said you need to scan the QRG Code with an attitude. After filling out the paperwork, she made a call to verify my coverage with Champ VA and told me that I was not covered. I explained that can't be correct as I have used Urgent Care with Champ VA with no problems. Her reply "You're not covered if you want to be seen here you will have to pay for it". I asked can you give me an idea of how much that would be, and she just shrugged her shoulders and said it "depends on what they do for you". I asked if she had written down my correct social security number since I know that I have coverage and she was rude "What are your last 4 digits of social". I left and went over to Freestanding Sherman ER and they took care of me. I called Champ VA this morning and I did verify that I had coverage to be seen by you all. read more

They allow you to make an appointment, but it is meaningless because when you show up at your appointment time, you have to wait behind all the walk-ins. Don't recommend and won't be coming here again!! read more

Front staff needs to be more accommodating for patients. Everything is self done check in paperwork cards etc. All she does is electronically move it over and submit and verify eligibility and benefits but can't even do that correctly and makes the patients call them self for the information even though provider number has quicker service to speak to a rep then when I do get them on the phone now she wants to use MY PHONE to get the info SHE NEEDED. if I need to check in my self and all that then I should be able to tell you my insurance is active and good .. I do not want to hand over my phone while you're hacking up a lung... then the wait time is horrendous I work with 80 pts a day one provider and we have a faster wait time than this one provider with 5 pts . Be prepared to have your insurance benefits pulled up your self or pay towards your deductible since she will not be checking your insurance information correctly or calling to verify it.. get better front office staff . read more
