From great care and concern at the "check in" portion to the attention given by Rose Goehring, this staff went above and beyond.  The entire staff was phenomenal. My son broke his elbow.  They were super attentive, casted it well, discussed our next steps and ensured he would be ok until we get into to the orthopedic specialist.   We had an incident recently that landed us at Detar North ER (never again!) and I can confidently state, Nextcare did circles around them.   We have been previously to Nextcare for our younger child and that visit was just as good.  10 of 10 read more

I took my 78 yo father in to have his ears looked at as he was struggling to hear even with his hearing aids. We waited a long time which was understandable because they had a child with an allergic reaction. Once our NP came in to see us she was there a couple minutes max. She looked in my dad's ears and determined he had an infection and sent us to the pharmacy for antibiotics and drops. A few days later we decided to look for ourselves as he was getting no relief so we went to Walgreens for an otoscope because he just couldn't hear at all. This photo shows that this was a terrible occlusion that needed to be taken care of. She was in a hurry and got us out quick with our insurance money in their pocket. No antibiotic or drops was going to help him. I don't know what she saw but it couldn't have been infection. She could have sent in a nurse to clean this out but instead got us out the door. Tried calling to find out why I received a check from these people, when to my knowledge I never went there. I figured they could refresh my memory by telling me when or what it had paid for. Called the local office was on hold 11 minutes and never spoke with anyone ... ever. Called the second local office, on hold no answer, so I called the corporate number. still on hold 24 minutes so far! It's no wonder they have so many negative reviews. They keep replying that they are sorry that one had a negative experience, but I really don't think that is true, because they are getting the same kind of reviews for the past 2-3 years now with no improvements!!! read more

Booking and paperwork is easy but I don't understand what the point of booking appointment if they don't go by it. They take whoever walks in the door first appointment ot not. Dumbest thing I've ever dealt with. Took my 1yr baby. Had an appointment for 7:20. In the app says you can check in by 7:05 In which i did. Walked in and checked in at 7:05. Says 2 people ahead of you on the waitlist and 2 walkin's. Everyone went before us. Didn't get called to the back until 8:20! An hour after my appointment. Doctor didn't come in the room to see him till 8:50pm! 10 minutes before closing and it rushing because she still had 2 other patients to see. You advertise average wait time less than an hour when it's a lie. You advertise it's quicker then going to the ER which is also a lie. Will never return and don't recommend this place to any one. read more

Horrible wait time they don't follow their own standards with masks they have them out in an open container so everybody touches them to get one out not very friendly way to over priced they are just here for a paycheck last time I was here they mis diagnosed me with the flu and mono I went to the er 2 hours later and had to have a blood transfusion and more while I did not have the flu or mono they are not very busy but wait time is just horrible they talk in the back and don't do much but laugh and giggle read more

Check in process was easy, friendly staff calling when time to enter, nice nurse who took vitals and asked questions. 6 year old son woke covered in bumps, looked like hives and were itching-got worse by the hour so wanted you get looked at. FNP Kristi Williams never introduced herself, did not talk with patient (my son) accepting asking to take off his shoe & sock. Within less than 5 mins said he had a rash (clearly knew that), to give Benadryl and he could go to school. She 'believed' it was non contagious and 'believed' it's an allergic reaction. Said because she is not with him to know what all he eats, drinks and touches - no way to know any more. Felt she was rude, no further inquest into trying to determine the root of problem to make sure treatment was correct. Not pleased with the service from FNP. read more

I went here on Friday September 3rd. It was a 45 minute drive to get to the location. Prior to going I asked several question over the phone to ensure I could be accommodated. I was told the results for my rapid urine analysis would be 48 hours. I also asked this when I arrived at the location. I was told the same thing. It's Friday 9/10 and I haven't received any results. I have called the location everyday since Tuesday and was told each time the results would be in tomorrow. After calling the lab on the receipt I was told that hurricane Ida delayed the results. Why not be open an honest about this to begin? Why just tell me the result will be in a day? This is a court ordered drug test and the lack of compassion from the staff when explaining the frustration is not okay. I paid for a service. I don't have my results. I also asked if they would communicate the delay issues to the parties awaiting results and they just declined. Don't go here. It's a joke. The lie, don't communicate effectively and just don't care. I needed a COVID pcr test, which I have received before from other clinics. I called ahead and they told me to make an appointment online, I called to check in at my appointment time and they said they aren't doing appointments and to get in line. I waited in line for over an hour in my car before someone came to see me, then waited for over an hour and a half to get my test that takes under 5 minutes to administer. In comparison to the other 2 clinics I have gotten tests at, this was a horrible experience. The other clinics had 10 minute wait periods and I was in and outrather quickly. Further, while waiting I witnessed more than one patron walk in without a mask and get help without putting a mask on, as well as staff not wearing masks at the front desk. read more

This is the third time I've been here and their slogan "you're sick, we're quick" is a lie. Every time I've been here I have sat in the back room for over an hour. One time I was very ill and coughing and feverish and I waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes as the aides looked on Pinterest. The NP came in and saw me for 5 minutes. This time there was no one in the waiting room and only two patient rooms full when they took me back. I waited for an hour and 10 minutes and saw the doctor for 5 minutes again. If they see every patient for 5 minutes (like they have me every time) that would've been 22 patients in that time. And I only counted 3 including me. I will only go here if I'm in dire straights and no where else is open and I don't need need to go to the ER. They need to change their slogan!!!! read more

Went for lab work. Waited three hours to be seen. Was told results would be in 3 to 5 days later. It took 1 month to get my results after talking to a supervisor. Come to find out my results were there the whole time. After being told I would be reimbursed on my money I spent for lab work in 3 to 5 days, it has now been 3 months. Do not go to Sam Houston in Victoria, Tx. Superviser I spoke with is Missy or Misty, she will not even return my calls about my refund or any explanation... Went to this clinic 2 weeks ago needing a steroid shot for allergies and chest congestion that over the counter meds were not helping. Was given educational info on "colds" and denied the shot. One week later and feeling worse with a diagnosis of bronchitis at Detar on Demand clinic. I finally received the correct treatment. Great experience. Staff were very friendly and I was seen quickly. Kristi Williams was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. X-rays were done and results were given within 5 minutes. Took my elderly mother there after a fall. We thought she may have hurt her knees and ankle. She may have had a broken nose as well. We were turned away because they don't have a cat scan. They wouldn't even see her for her scrapes and bruises. I asked directly if they were refusing to see/treat my mother and I was told "Yes". They suggested that I take my seventy four year old mother with underlying conditions to the ER. I was not about to take my mother to an area where she could get COVID-19. This was not a life threatening accident that would warrent me to put my mother at risk. I've gone to this clinic before and have never been treated so rudely or uncaring. Alicia was the rudest receptionist. I will never go there again nor recommend this place to anyone. read more

Been here twice. Every time I go, from the time I enter lobby to time I leave has been TWO hours. And you don't always get a doctor. I went yesterday evening, 2 hours and got a nurse practitioner that stood there with her hands in her pockets looking daffled and as if I am going to help her diagnose my child. Waste of time and money. I will never come here again. And twice now have the doctor/nurse practitioner offered to give me a rx for the flu WITHOUT testing for it first. Not sure if that's a common practice but that blows my mind. You can't figure what's wrong with my child so your last resort is to give a script for the flu?! I am from out of town and I came on for some antibiotics for a sinus infection. Despite all the reviews I came here anyway because it was the closest thing around. I came in filled out my paperwork with minimal hassle from the receptionist and got my vitals taken right away. There were 2 other people in the waiting room so I have no idea why it took the dr an hour to see us. I sat in the exam room for an hour (with an infant no less) waiting for a Dr to prescribe simple antibiotics! What a waste of time. When the dr finally did see me he talked to me for 5 minutes and diagnosed me with what I already knew I had and tried to give me antibiotics I was allergic to! Had to basically fight for what I knew I needed. Not with the hassle to come here. I would have rather stayed sick. read more

I went inn yesterday with a swollen thumb and earache and everyone was very nice and courteous. The back staff Elise and Mallory were very friendly and made me feel at ease. Sarah Thompson the FNP-C was great and talked me through the procedure to drain the staph from my thumb. The medicine was called in immediately and was ready when I got to CVS. Overall a wonderful experience and will go there again in a heartbeat. read more

Don' t go here! Deceptive practices. My child was treated here initially for a broken finger. Two weeks later I was told that it wasn't broken. Because my daughter was still experiencing some discomfort I simply requested a referral to see an orthopedist . They said they would get me one but they never did. I ended up taking her out of town to another doctor to find out that her finger did indeed have a healing fracture. read more

We have tried to use this clinic for pre-employment screenings at 2 different times. They do not deliver results, and today I've been on the phone over 2 hours with 7 calls, 3 hang-ups, and 3 calls over 15 minutes on hold. I took my 2 year old here on a Sunday because she was sick. I got in quick. The doctor said it was Tonsilitis and prescribed an antibiotic. After 24 hours of no improvement and lots of pain we took my 2 year old to the pediatrician (now Monday) who said it was a virus and to stop antibiotics. MY 2 YEAR OLD WAS MISDIAGNOSED and given medicine for it. Now the CEO will not even consider reducing the bill which shouldn't be paid at all because we "used the services". I get that but I put my trust in a doctor that I assumed was smart due to the extra 8-12 years of school. If I go to a doctor I expect them to know the difference between an infection and a virus. The doctors are sub-par at best. Too bad it's the only walk in clinic open on Sunday. read more

Took my 17 yr old granddaughter to the Urgent Care Clinic today Jan.9,2018 and was greatly disappointed. I brought her in for what appeared to be allergy related shortness of breath that she said she had been having off and on for 2 days. She had no fever and was not feeling ill but I wanted to have her checked out anyway. After taking her to the back and asking her about how she felt they asked for her to get a chest x-Ray. That is when the nurse overstepped her boundaries. I stated that she would use the inhaler prescribed but not the X-ray at this time but would have it done if she did not seem to get better and the nurse rudely told me - not asked " ARE YOU A DOCTOR"! Both my granddaughter and I were taken back and as I tried to explain why we were not doing it now to avoid any further outburst from the nurse the Dr. Insisted we have it done and stated she was ordering now. I was given the impression that if I did not have it done my granddaughter would not get her prescription so we sent to another Twin Fountain Facility to have it done. I will not ever go back to any facility's associated with this kind of bullying and disrespect of client's rights and wishes. read more
