When they arrived they took a quick look at amount of items and then got to work usually taking 2-3 boxes per trip to truck. They wrapped items in blankets then plastic wrap to keep safe or just plastic to keep drawers in place. They even moved and loaded all the extra random items like packages of toilet paper and a bag of canned food. At the new place they laid down rugs and plastic to protect the floor as they moved items in. They made sure furniture was placed in the area we wanted and even helped adjust as needed. Overall a job well done and it ended up being on the lower side of the estimate.

My brother-on-law moved 3 trailers full of stuff, going back and forth from Hugo to Blaine before they even got to my house the first time, we all left at the same time. I think they were intentionally slow so they could charge us 4x's the amount quoted to me for an entire day (which is only 4 hours for them). They also broke multiple items, even with their "insurance" I was not reimbursed for anything. I also had to have them correct the contract 5 times before they actually got it correct. This company is horrible, if I could give them negative stars I would. This company is so crooked they are a circle! Response: your crew did not take an unpaid lunch break, it was included in the time they added to my bill at the end. They also very much pressure me to tip them because, as they put it, "This company does not pay us very well." Not only was I quoted roughly $1500, and it ended up costing me almost $5K for the service, I ended up tipping them because they know where I live and I didn't want anything to happen to my wife, and your crew took more breaks than they actually worked. Regardless of what you say, your company is crooked, incompetent, and needs to be put out of business. My next report is to the BBB!

We had four movers - two were more senior and managers in the know and two were focused on moving and getting the job done. All staff were a pleasure to have in the house and smiling. With four floors, a spiral staircase, and over 4500 sq feet, the team was polished, professional, incredibly positive, can-do oriented and all the while focused on care and quality. When you have such a big move and such an emotional process, to have movers with such care and attention is quite helpful and reassuring. This approach comes straight from management. This is a well run business. Even before they arrived on moving day, the owner Nick was very accommodating and helped us schedule the move on the day we needed due to our house selling. He worked with other clients to change schedules and was able to really help us out. Quality moving has also stored our house goods/items in their Bloomington warehouse. It was an easy process and there have been no issues. Overall, this is the best moving company I have worked with and I've had experience with four different companies and five moves. Here's the TLDR: Hire Stafford moving. Now for the real review: Let me start from the beginning. Overwhelmed with options, and not wanting to pay more than I needed to, I turned to Yelp and some parenting groups I'm in to talk moving company recommendations. I got so many recommendations for this place and I'd never even heard of them. Filled out the online quote and they were super easy to work with to get a ballpark figure. Booked them for my move from apartment to new home about 10 mins away. These guys were: 1) on time. I love punctuality especially when it comes to a stressful day like a moving day. 2) kind. We had a 3 person team with a 26' truck and they were all so so nice and friendly. Not a single second did I question them or what kind of people they might be. (Sometimes you worry things might go missing. NOT a concern with these guys). 3) fast. We did the total move in 4 hours. It would have been slower but I had a team of family to help out and it made the whole process so much smoother. The Stafford guys were super accommodating in all of us working together to get the job done quicker which was huge for our bottom line number. Hands down the best moving company I've ever worked with. Sometimes the team moves slower than molasses. But these guys really busted their butts. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

When I questioned them, they assured me it wouldn't be a problem as long as the POD was packed that same day. That turned out to be completely wrong. When the PODs were opened four months later, every single piece of furniture was damaged -- every piece. To make matters worse, after the job was done, I needed a receipt for my employer, and it took weeks of texting and following up with the owner to finally get one. The whole process felt unprofessional and sketchy. I've worked with several moving companies during this relocation, and Minuteman Movers was the only one that gave me such an unreliable and frustrating experience. We hired two movers with a truck for an 11 am arrival. We did not hear any confirmation until I reached out at 10 am. They said they wouldn't make it until noon. No biggy. Three men arrived in a U-Haul truck shortly after 12pm, with one making a comment about how he just woke up. I was surprised they sent out three, but know their contract states that they can if they feel its necessary. I was expecting professional, on time, careful, efficient movers based on reviews but received the bare minimum. They dropped several boxes and a small weight set, luckily nothing was broken. They also scratched our new stairway with our crib. Our home was 1 master bedroom with a decent sized nursery and a small office. We had everything boxed and ready to go for them, but they only arrived with one dolly, making the time it took to move things extremely prolonged. We expected the job to take roughly 5 hours, but when the movers arrived, one stated that the load up shouldn't take more than 3 hours! We were ecstatic. Unfortunately that was not the case, as it took them 6 hours, even adding another mover towards the end. I wish I could be empathetic, however the time they spent on their phones was problematic. We sent them home before they finished due to the time lingering on, and after complaining about their service, they asked us to cease communication and have threatened legal action, which we plan to take. They offered a small discount after arguing with my significant other, but told us it expires in four days. I wanted badly for my first experience hiring movers to be great, and I thought that the decent price and reviews were enough to earn my trust. I wish I hadn't. I'm sure many people have had great experiences, but the hostility towards us and the poor service we received makes me second guess the legitimacy of some of the reviews, especially after 10 years of business.
